Package: debian-installer Severity: wishlist --- Please enter the report below this line. ---
(Filing the bug against debian-installer because of the complex issue involved; nevertheless it seems to mostly affect partman-auto.) The current BIOSes of most (if not all) Asus Eee PC models with internal solid state drives have a "Boot Booster" functionality which allow them to use data loaded on a tiny primary partition to speed up their boot. (See [1], [2] for more info.) The Debian Installer may suggest and help to create such a partition - and warn about this thing even if the user want to go with manual partitioning. (Of course the "Boot Booster" partition is often already present on the SSD.)
