follow-up to my own bug report. Researching an idea from KiBi in the #debian-boot IRC channel on irc.debian.org I found out that this must be related to:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=766607 and https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=762007 and the change to kernel 3.16 where the kernel now ignores every parameter after '--' in the boot command line. Learning that, I tried to modify the daily snapshot netinst iso image and removing every '--' occurence in the isolinux boot setup, and every thing then works as with jessie beta 2. So is this a bug in the install images wrt the '--' in isolinux config files?
