Re: Please test current weekly built CD images
Hi, Yesterday, I tried to install the new image. I used the DVD image from weekly build. The process installation occurred normally and did not appeared error messages. I installed using the portuguese language and the option "graphical install". The problems I told the last month were fixed in the new image :-) I did not try to install using more than one DVD. Maybe, I will do this in weekend, using two CDs. Oh, I liked of the menu to choose the install option at beginning of the process installation. This time I did not use Windows to install the boot menu to begin the process installation, then, I do not know if it has changed. Thanks, Gilberto
Please test current weekly built CD images
(BCCed to 4 people who reported issues due to CD changing functionality) Hi, About one/two months ago you reported issues with installations from CD that were the result of the new functionality to allow using multiple CDs during an installation. We are currently preparing the Beta2 release of the Debian Installer and it would be great if you could do a pre-release test to confirm that the issues are now solved. Best is to do a similar installation to the one that failed, but trying different things (e.g. using a single CD versus using more than one CD) would be much appreciated. You can let us know the result by replying to this mail, or by filing a new installation report. The correct images to use are linked from the D-I project page [1]: - for full CDs and DVD: a weekly built image - for netinst or businesscard: a daily built image Please do not download one of the Beta1 images at the top of the page by mistake!
