I've fixed the CD-ROM issue for next kernel update, while Frans has fixed the kernel detection, Rick, Geert and you has tested the images, adb (I don't know his name) has done a lot of tests to find what that problems before I started to work on that and also offered his ps3 to me to access to debug the segfaults and so on. The only problem I encountered was that it could not find the correct kernel to install therefore a kernel had to be manually installed after the installation completed. The message was something to the effect of no installable kernels were found in the defined sources. If there are enough interested people who use Debian on the ps3, then maybe we can have this fixed.
