Woody install docs down to 6 (sets of) broken links or sites

2002-04-22 Thread James A. Treacy

The results of the latest link checker on the woody install
documentation and release notes shows only 6 broken links or sites.
The full results can be found at
http://people.debian.org/~treacy/woody.broken.links
but a summary is given below:

1. Every file of the form
   http://www.debian.org/releases/woody//release-notes/ch-upgrading..html
   has a broken link to
   http://http.us.debian.org/debian/dists/woody///upgrade-alpha/

   The link is defined by
   in debian-boot/boot-floppies/documentation/release-notes*.sgml

2. http://www.debian.org/releases/woody/alpha/ch-install-methods..html
has a link to the following file which does not exist in the archive:

http://http.us.debian.org/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-alpha/current/nautilus/images-1.44/rescue.bin

The link is defined in defaults.ent under variable rescue-images.

3. http://www.debian.org/releases/woody/alpha/ch-appendix..html
has links to the following files which do not exist in the archive:

http://http.us.debian.org/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-alpha/current/nautilus/images-1.44/rescue.bin

http://http.us.debian.org/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-alpha/current/nautilus/drivers.tgz

http://http.us.debian.org/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-alpha/current/nautilus/images-1.44/driver-1.bin

http://http.us.debian.org/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-alpha/current/nautilus/images-1.44/driver-2.bin

http://http.us.debian.org/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-alpha/current/jensen/images-1.44/driver-2.bin

http://http.us.debian.org/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-alpha/current/nautilus/linux.bin

4. http://www.debian.org/releases/woody/arm/ch-appendix..html
has a link to the following file which does not exist in the archive:
   http://http.us.debian.org/debian/dists/woody/main/disks-arm/current/riscpc/linux.bin

5. http://www.debian.org/releases/woody//ch-post-install.cs.html
   has links to
   http://www.kin.vslib.cz/~satrapa/docs/iserver/index.html
   and
   http://www.kin.vslib.cz/~satrapa
which hasn't been available for over a month

6. (New) http://www.debian.org/releases/woody/powerpc/ch-install-methods..html
   has a link to
   http://hyperarchive.lcs.mit.edu/HyperArchive/Archive/cmp/suntar-223.hqx
hyperarchive.lcs.mit.edu is not responding. This is probably
   temporary.
