Can't check now but I seem to recall that the initramfs scripts also run
udevsettle now to give the device detection a chance to calm down. In the
future the kernel will get capabilities to allow udev to know when it is
done probing hardware (I think you could search LKML for "scsi_wait" if
you're interested).

> I'll try it a bit more determinedly later but the initial signs are good.

That's good to hear.

Jonas, the race condition still remains in libdevmapper, this fix works
around it for cryptsetup so it still needs to be fixed in libdevmapper. I
say we reassign this bug, keep an eye on it and remove the Novell patch
once libdevmapper is fixed. Do you agree?

Bug#446982: hobbit: hobbit.postinst changes owner of /tmp directory

2007-10-16 Thread Yukio Shiiya
Package: hobbit
Version: 4.2.0.dfsg-4
Severity: normal

(First of all, sorry for my poor English.)

During installation of hobbit, owner of /tmp directory was changed to
'hobbit:hobbit'.

At the line 28 of hobbit.postinst is as follows.
cd /usr/lib/hobbit/client; chown hobbit:hobbit logs tmp; chmod u+w logs tmp

chown command changes the owner of tmp, and chmod command changes the
mode of tmp, but /usr/lib/hobbit/client/tmp is symbolic link to /tmp
directory.
Therefore, it seems that the owner of /tmp directory was changed to
'hobbit:hobbit'.

As permission of /tmp directory is everyone writable, is it unnecessary
to specify tmp in the two parts of the underline shown by above
quotation of line 28?

Thanks,

Daniel?

I just notice that with a couple of exceptions, all .fdi files seem
shipped by HAL packages. It might make sense to include x11-input.fdi as
an example though.

The new version of this package (0.0.20071002-1) is on the way to the
Debian archives and this version hasn't this problem. This new source
package has new python-fontforge binary package and the upload to
Debian will go through the NEW queue, therefore appearance of this
version will be delayed. For now new package can be found on my apt
repository at http://kebil.ghost.lt/debian/pool/fontforge/ .

In the future, consider asking for

  /usr/share/bug/mdadm/script 3>&1

which should have *all* the output you could ever want. :)

In future versions of Debian/Ubuntu's mdadm, you can just run

  /usr/share/bug/mdadm/script

without the redirection.

I'm not sure what the bug could be in bittornado, as I have done the

One interesting thing I noticed was that the bittornado 0.3.18-4 in
the archive depends on python-support >= 0.7.1, whereas the one I
built locally only depends on python-support >= 0.2. I assume that
means it was built (by my sponsor) with a newer version of
python-support than mine was, which I'm not sure how it would cause
this problem, but I thought I'd mention it anyway.

Thanks,
Cameron

Bug#443956: wacom-tools: General update after the debconf review process

2007-10-16 Thread Christian Perrier
Dear Debian maintainer,

On Tuesday, September 11, 2007, I sent you a notification about the beginning
of a review
action on debconf templates for wacom-tools.

Then, I sent you a bug report with rewritten templates and announcing
the beginning of the second phase of this action: call for translation
updates.

Translators have been working hard and here is now the result of their efforts.

Please consider using it EVEN if you committed files to your
development tree as long as they were reported.

The attached tarball contains:

- debian/changelog with the list of changes
- debian/control with rewrites of packages' descriptions
- debian/ with all the rewritten templates file(s)
- debian/po/*.po with all PO files (existing ones and new ones)

As said, please use *at least* the PO files as provided here,
preferrably over those sent by translators in their bug reports. All
of them have been checked and reformatted. In some cases, formatting
errors have been corrected.

The patch-nopo file contains a patch for the templates and control file(s).

Please note that this patch applies to the templates and control
file(s) of your package as of Tuesday, September 11, 2007. If your package was
updated
in the meantime, I may have updated my reference copybut I also
may have missed that. This is indeed why I suggested you do not
modified such files while the review process was running,
remember..:-)

It is now safe to upload a new package version with these changes.

Please notify me of your intents with regards to this.

There is of course no hurry to update your package but feel free to
contact me in case you would need sponsoring or any other action to
fix this.

Bug#446976: libapache2-mod-bt: crashes when request handler handles request

Package: libapache2-mod-bt

Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

I've written a configuration based loosely on the one provided with the
package. Also requests, include /, /register, etc cause the apache
subprocess to segfault.

Here is the vhost block, identifiers masked...

ServerName tracker.foo.bar

DocumentRoot /var/www/foo.bar/tracker/
CustomLog /var/www/foo.bar/.access_log.tracker combined
ErrorLog /var/www/foo.bar/.error_log.tracker

ServerSignature off

TrackerHome /var/lib/mod_bt
TrackerFlags AllowScrapeFull
TrackerDetailURL /details/

Alias /mod_bt.css /usr/share/doc/libbtutil0/html/mod_bt.css

SetHandler modbt-root

SetOutputFilter INCLUDES

SetHandler modbt-announce

SetHandler modbt-scrape

Sefault messages appear in /var/log/apache2/error.log, nothing is left

Right, I didn't realise that your patch actually treated this

I've also noticed this.

what I have done is change:

to:

This is seems to restore the tradition behavior of

Bug#446826: patch to use lyricwiki.org

thanks

Attached is a patch to use the lyricwiki.org REST API. It's a pretty
simple interface at the moment and thus does not have fuzzy search
capability, so the artist & album have to be nearly-exact matches. But it
works. Someone with more time on their hands could probably modify this
easily to use their more fully-featured SOAP API.--- qltk/lyrics.py.orig	2007-10-17 00:16:51.0 -0400

first, it's LEGAL to license every piece of lunar-applet in GPL v2 and later.

and an updated copyright file is in attachment, it's in the format
proposed in http://wiki.debian.org/Proposals/CopyrightFormat
please help check whether I make any mistake or missing something, thanks.

to yetist,

how about fix following issue:
1. you modification src/lunar.c but not document the license part
2. if gtkchinesecalendar/gtkchinesecalendar.h is derived from lunar,
you can't license it under LGPL.
3. you does not document the license issue of
gtkchinesecalendar/tables.h, if it's derived from lunar, please
document it. if not, how about add a comment in README or somewhere.
4. how about update your copyright file to reflect your license issue
in this project
and thanks for your great work in lunar-applet.

thanks.

Bug#446969: Acknowledgement (javaws: gtk_widget_realize: assertion `GTK_WIDGET_ANCHORED (widget) || GTK_IS_INVISIBLE (widget)')

2007-10-16 Thread David Stanaway
After having this issue for several days and submitting the bug, now I
have made a change that seems to have resolved it, but I am not sure
what it is.

I move my ~/.java to ~/.java.old and re-ran my procedure that always
throws an exception and spawns a gnome bugbuddy window.

This time it ran fine without the gnome bugbuddy dialog popping up, but
the same exception logged to terminal.

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ javaws -viewer

(:25602): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_paint_box: assertion

My webstart cache was empty so I ran with the jnlp for the app I wanted
to run:

javaws -Xnosplash http://www.vassalengine.org/ws/vassal.jnlp

This ran with no problems.

I had a copy of the .java directory before I made any changes and copied
it back to .java and tried to reproduce the problem, but now I can't
reproduce it.

Looking at my home directory, the only other top level area that got
modified was .gconf/%gconf-tree.xml which was modified after I moved the
old ~/.java to ~/.java.old

At this point - I am sorry, but I can't reproduce the issue further.
Hopefully this helps someone else at least (Purging their ~/.java MAY
help). I may have a recent backup of my ~/home where I was experiencing
the problem and will try and get a snapshot of that for further
investigation if I can reproduce the issue.

Instead of just making the 'bind' option work for HTTP only, I added a
new option 'apt_bind' that will bind only the apt requests, while the
original 'bind' will bind the peer requests. It seems the original
'bind' option may be useful to some (perhaps if they have multiple
interfaces?). So, you'll want to leave the 'bind' option blank, and
just specify the 'apt_bind' option.

I've uploaded the fixed package to my repository as version 0.1.4.3 if
you want to try it out, since the just released version means this fix
might not get released for a while. You can find more information
here:

gcc-4.2 did never contain the doc files, so it cannot provide gcc-4.2-doc.

That long historical bugs journey on opengroup's site about `test` makes
me sick. I think, this is example of how not to implement things. I like
size optimized system programming. But while going that, i also like to
have silly-bug free implementations, especially in "ah, 'cmon,
arithmetics is hard" part :). BTW i did size optimization patch before
this one exactly because i wanted to have overall new-old delta negative.
And it is so.

Well, before major shell scripting i decided to make all my stuff
`set -e` strong. Works for me, but not for shells (some times :). Also
this is very good requirement in Debian,

When test is used like this:

[ "$PARAM" -ge 0 ]

It will work in `dash`, but will fail in `bash`. Oops,

I know, but see above :) How many broken and slow things its developer
brought to the world... This must be left behind and remembered as
classic case of "what not to do".

Bug#446973: lunar-applet: Missing and incorrect copyright/licensing information

2007-10-16 Thread Ming Hua
Package: lunar-applet
Version: 1.6-1
Severity: serious
Justification: Policy 2.3, I suppose

Lunar-applet is apparently a derivative work of the clock applet in
gnome-panel. The gnome-panel source has FSF as the copyright owner,
with many authors. However, lunar-applet's packaging documentation
/usr/share/doc/lunar-applet/copyright doesn't mention this at all.
(The upstream README mentions this, but it's in Chinese. Reading the
source makes this obvious, though, as many file in src/ still keeps the
original copyright header from gnome-panel.)

If it's only missing upstream author information, this bug is probably
not "serious" severity. After all, both lunar-applet and the clock
applet code are licensed under GPL v2 or later.

However, on closer inspection, I found the copyright/licensing situation
of lunar-applet very messy:

For example, the src/lunar.c is a modified version of the
applets/clock/clock.c file in gnome-panel, but the header in lunar.c
doesn't say anything about the modification, which probably violates
clause 2(a) of GPL v2.

Now worse, the file gtkchinesecalendar/gtkchinesecalendar.h claims LGPL
v2 license (which by itself needs clarification in Debian's copyright
file), but also says it contains code from lunar package with "Copyright
(C) 1988,1989,1991,1992 Fung F. Lee and Ricky Yeung", but lunar is GPL
v2 or later. I'm not sure if it's possible to mix GPL and LGPL code in
one file or one project, but even if it's okay, it should at least be
clearly noted.

And then things gets ugly -- the file gtkchinesecalendar/tables.h looks
like derivative work of lunar code, but the copyright and licensing
notice at the top of the file is completely removed, and the file in
lunar-applet doesn't have any copyright/licensing information.

In summary, I find the copyright and licensing information of
lunar-applet package very incomplete and confusing. Some of the code
there probably even violates GPL/LGPL. I'm disappointed to see the
maintainers doing a poor work on copyright/license auditing, and I'm
surprised that this passed through FTP master's inspection.
Nevertheless, I hope this bug can cause closer inspection of the whole
codebase of lunar-applet.

Ming

The POSIX specification is mostly based on the Korn shell and
it is the prototypical POSIX compliant shell.

However, more importantly this behaviour is consistent with
POSIX. Since one of the primary aims of dash is to be as small
as possible (the one being as fast as possible) while staying
within the realms of POSIX-compliance, I'd rather not apply
this patch. Unless of course if you can show me a way to do
it while at the same time making dash smaller :)

> Also, this hides real bugs, when arithmetical comparsion succeeds, even

I think this is debatable. Even if dash made this an error it
still may escape detection because the test command is not a
special built-in and cannot cause the whole script to abort.
So all this will do is print something to stderr and cause the
test to return false instead of a possible true value.

BTW, even bash is not completely consistent here:

$ bash -o posix -c '[ "" -lt 3 ]'
bash: line 0: [: : integer expression expected
$ bash -o posix -c '[ " " -lt 3 ]'
$

I'd call the binary cl-zpb-exit, similar to S-XML [2], since as far as
I understand it it's not intended to be used stand-alone.

Bug#446972: mercurial.el: autoload

2007-10-16 Thread Trent W. Buck
Package: mercurial
Version: 0.9.4-1
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

This package provides a mercurial.el library which is not enabled by
default. Something like this should be added to this package's emacs
site-start.d file:

(when (locate-library "mercurial")
  (autoload 'hg-find-file-hook "mercurial")
  (add-hook 'find-file-hooks 'hg-find-file-hook))

This is better than simply doing

(require 'mercurial)

because it defers loading mercurial until it is needed, meaning that
Emacs will boot faster and use less memory when not using mercurial
(e.g. on a multi-user system where only some users use mercurial).

Unfortunately, the "until needed" is a bit of a fallacy in this case,
because find-file is likely to be run at or shortly after boot. For
this reason, you may wish to put the aforementioned form in
README.Debian instead of forcing Emacsen to evaluate it via
site-start.d.

This should probably also be mentioned to upstream in the form of the
following patch. They may also be able to improve upon my
site-start.d form; I only started using Mercurial today and may have
missed a point.

Bug#446970: kdeinit not found

2007-10-16 Thread C Sights
Package: kdelibs
Version: 3.5.8-1
Severity: normal

Hello,
I tried installing kdebase-3.5.8-1 and all of its dependencies. When I
restarted kde, a message similar to "kdeinit could not be found, please check
installation" was displayed during the startup progress screen.
Eventually the progress splash screen disappeared and only the
wallpaper was
displayed. Clicking did nothing.
kdeinit was still installed on the computer (verified by tab completion
at
the command line).
I didn't do any more troubleshooting, instead downgraded to 3.5.7.

Thanks!
C.

Bug#446968: alsa-base: Alsa only works after /etc/init.d/alsa restart, then fails again later

2007-10-16 Thread Sean
Package: alsa-base
Version: 1.0.14-2
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

After upgrading my kernel from 2.6.18-4 to 2.6.21 (now 2.6.22),
I noticed mplayer stoped playing video files, and stalled immediately
after opening. I filed a bug report with mplayer (bug #445731). I later
learned that the problem was not mplayer specific; any application that
attempted to work with alsa stalled (including the gnome sound system).
I tired building modules for alsa using module-assistant, and it
appeared to work. However, I think it only appeared to work because
it cause alsa to reload. After the system rebooted alsa still had the
same problem. When the system is started, to prevent applications
that work with alsa from stalling, I have to run
/etc/init.d/alsa force-reload. This allows sound to start working again.

However, once sound is working again, if I try to play a movie file,
mplayer works for a few seconds and stalls (as it did before alsa was
reloaded). I tried this with totem, and, though it didn't stall, sound
suddenly cut out. So, alsa starts working after the reload, but then
stops again. If I try playing the file yet again, it will still play
(without locking up immediately), but it still locks up later. I have
tried reinstalling the alsa-base and alsa-utils packages, but
nothing has worked so far.

Bug#446877: attr(1) implies it only works with XFS

2007-10-16 Thread Reuben Thomas

On Wed, 17 Oct 2007, Nathan Scott wrote:

attr(1) is intended only for XFS - it is an IRIX-compatibility
command, and there are parts of the tool that only work on the
XFS filesystem (in particular, those options that deal with the
ROOT namespace are XFS-specific).

In that case, a note near the top alerting users of other FSes that This Is
Not The Command You Seek is probably a good idea. Something like "Users of
other filesystems probably want getfattr(1) and setfattr(1)." (This just
moves the bit you mentioned:

"This document describes the attr command, which is mostly compatible
with the IRIX command of the same name. It is thus aimed specifically
at users of the XFS filesystem - for filesystem independent extended
attribute manipulation, consult the getfattr(1) and setfattr(1) docu‐
mentation."

up the page, to where I'd've actually seen it!

I do agree it would be useful to document this somewhere - the attr(5)
man page is a general discussion of extended attributes on Linux, so it
would seem a suitable place - do you want to send me a patch?

I think the paragraph on FILESYSTEM DIFFERENCES in attr(5) would be
a better spot.

I suggest you add the sentence "Some file systems, such as ext2/3 and
reiserfs 3, require the filesystem to be mounted with the mount option
`user_xattr' in order for extended user attributes to be used." to the end
of the first paragraph.

Also, the 6th paragraph of the DESCRIPTION section is woefully out of date:
not only does it not mention reiserfs, but it implies you need to patch the
kernel, which hasn't been true for a long time. I suggest you change it to:
"Currently, support for extended attributes is implemented on Linux by the
ext2, ext3, ext4, XFS, JFS and reiserfs filesystems." I don't know if there
are others.

As far as "filesystem differences" go, I don't know what the situation is
with reiserfs or JFS. Since xattrs are implemented as files in reiserfs, it
would seem there isn't a size limit; I can't find one in the source. JFS
xattrs seem to have 255 byte names and 65535 byte values, from looking at
the code:

http://lxr.linux.no/source/fs/jfs/jfs_xattr.h

And perhaps also on the getfattr/setfattr man pages?

I think not. These pages already direct the user to attr(5), and putting the
remark in more than one place makes it more likely to become misleading
later on if and when it's no longer true.

XFS filesystem (in particular, those options that deal with the
ROOT namespace are XFS-specific).

Indeed they can (the above sentence does not say they cannot, however).
Two paragraphs down in the man page is this:

"This document describes the attr command, which is mostly compatible
with the IRIX command of the same name. It is thus aimed specifically
at users of the XFS filesystem - for filesystem independent extended
attribute manipulation, consult the getfattr(1) and setfattr(1) docu‐
mentation."

I'll go for f) "none of the above". :^)

Helpful perhaps, but not correct for all cases - this is a filesystem-
specific mount option (other filesystems - like JFS/XFS - dont require
it, while reiserfs/ext2/3/4 do).

And perhaps also on the getfattr/setfattr man pages?

cheers.

Bug#414502: Followup on the compressed NEWS.Debian file

2007-10-16 Thread Martín Ferrari
tags 414502 +pending
thanks

Hi,

I was trying to resolve this bug, and found out that dh_compress
considers NEWS.Debian a changelog, and so it compresses it without
regard of its size. So I fixed the message in the init.d script. This
bug will be closed as soon as this gets uploaded.

Thanks, and sorry for the delay.

Bug#446963: network-manager-gnome: Notification popups are more hindrance than help

2007-10-16 Thread Tony Houghton
Package: network-manager-gnome
Version: 0.6.5-2
Severity: wishlist

I find the notification popups for non-critical events annoying. They
get in the way and mostly duplicate information already available by
looking at the tray icon. There's been no response to my bugrep upstream
 so please would you
accept this patch to disable non-critical popups. If you prefer I can
make the popups optional, using gconf.

Yes, thats correct. ieee80211_scan_sta.c is vulnerable in all upstream and

Bug#339364: Question about old patch proposed

2007-10-16 Thread Martín Ferrari
Hi there,

while looking at bugs reported in Debian BTS, I found an old one [0],
which includes a patch, for a problem with timeouts in UDP mode. I've
found that this patch was also sent here, to the development list [1],
without any answer.

I'd like to have your opinion on that patch/bug, to see if it's a good
solution to the problem and apply it in Debian.

Thanks, Martín.

This is described in the upstream bug (see URL above), so I guess this

Hi again,

Have you tried this with the latest version of acroread? I think it's up

Bug#446953: [Pkg-alsa-devel] Bug#446953: linux-sound-base depends on udev

The sound system can be selected by running:

dpkg-reconfigure linux-sound-base

When ALSA is selected, all OSS modules are blacklisted for udev.
When OSS is selected, all ALSA modules are blacklisted for udev.

> Perhaps
> there is some other way of solving the problem.

Well, etch, lenny and sid are running all 2.6 kernels >= 2.6.18. So
in that case udev is the first choice of managing drivers (kernel
modules) . I don't know what kernel version you're running, but
sarge or even potato or slink are no more maintained by the
alsa-maintainers :-)

And please notice that 1.0.14 sound drivers are integrated in
2.6.22/23 Kernel. So why don't you want to run udev?

Elimar

Bug#406971: Solution to problem with HP NetServer6000r and megaraid Aborting

2007-10-16 Thread Ricardo Pardini
If you have an HP NetServer6000r or similar and experience these messages:

megaraid: Aborting-1 cmd=12
megaraid: Aborting-1[7d], fw owner.

Go into the NetRAID configuration (Ctrl-M in the boot screen) and turning
off "I2O" in the adapter "Objects".
This solved the problem with all kernels -- for some reason the installer
for 4.0r1 is not affected, but after booting after install hangs if I2O is
enabled.

You are of course right and that is what git-import-orig does since
quiet some time now (since 0.3.0 as of May this year) - it doesn't relay
on git_laod_dirs internally anymore - so it also doesn't ask questions.

Basically, You only need one system with a full shorewall install. This
machine can then generate a script that can be executed on a machine
with shorewall-lite. Thus, you can install the full shorewall on a
test/development server and then shorewall-lite on the production
machines, or something like that.

It already says that it is for configuring netfilter. I'm not certain
how much clearer I can make it. I copy/pasted from the current package
descriptions, which have been fine for quite a while.

Package maintainer scripts may prompt the user if necessary. Prompting

This behavior prevents me from using DEBIAN_FRONTEND=noninteractive

Bug#413044: apt-get source is meant to get the most recent sources

2007-10-16 Thread dAniel hAhler
apt-get source is meant to get the most recent sources.

From the man page:
   source
source causes apt-get to fetch source packages. APT will examine
the available packages to decide which source package to fetch. It
will then find and download into the current directory the newest
available version of that source package. Source packages are

It may however make sense to skip negative priorities maybe.
The bug should probably get retitled in this case.

Bug#397197: DPMS-bug test scenario

2007-10-16 Thread Robert Siemer
Hi!

Any news on this bug? - It is really annoying me, my monitor gets older
several times faster and the work around is of no help (mplayer (a movie
player) does not use it)... Do other movie player not temporary disable
DPMS!?

Bug#446953: linux-sound-base depends on udev

2007-10-16 Thread Ian Jackson
Package: linux-sound-base
Version: 1.0.14-2

Depends: ... udev (>= 0.084-1) ...

However my system does not have udev installed and it should be
possible for this to continue to be the case.

What functionality from udev does linux-sound-base use ? Perhaps
there is some other way of solving the problem.

Ian.

Bug#446951: pdfnup: does not support --page a0paper

2007-10-16 Thread Martin Bretschneider
Package: pdfjam
Version: 1.20-2
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

I want two pdf pages (almost DIN A1) appear on one DIN A0 page. Thus I
did the following:

$ pdfnup --nup 1x2 --paper a0paper --noautoscale true --outfile
out.pdf --tidy false in.pdf

But out.pdf still was DIN A4. I checked the file in /var/tmp:

\documentclass[a0paper,portrait]{article}
\usepackage{pdfpages}
\begin{document}
\includepdf[pages=-,nup=1x2,frame=false,fitpaper=false,trim=0 0 0
0,delta=0 0,offset=0
0,scale=1.0,turn=true,noautoscale=true,column=false,columnstrict=false,openright=false]
{/var/tmp/32234223084633-1source.pdf}
\end{document}
###

Hm, looks fine. I tried another document class (scrartcl) from
KOMA-Script that I regularly use and ran pdflatex on the following
file:
#
\documentclass[a0paper,portrait]{scrartcl}
\usepackage{pdfpages}
\begin{document}
\includepdf[pages=-,nup=1x2,frame=false,fitpaper=false,trim=0 0 0
0,delta=0 0,offset=0
0,scale=1.0,turn=true,noautoscale=true,column=false,columnstrict=false,openright=false]
{/var/tmp/317302845022798-1source.pdf}
\end{document}
###

And it worked! You can just test it by replacing the \includepdf-line
with some string.

Solution:
It seems that the acrticle-documentclass does not support a0paper or
whatever. So just use scrartcl since pdfjam already depends on
texlive-latex-recommended which includes KOMA-Skript.

Bug#446949: linux-image-2.6.21-2-686: No S4 trip point in acpi thermal

2007-10-16 Thread Hramrach
Package: linux-image-2.6.21-2-686
Version: 2.6.21-6
Severity: normal

The thermal zones do not have S4 trip point which menas the kernel does
not attempt to put the system to sleep, only stut down.
This is great annoynce even in case the system really overheats (for
example when the vents are obstructed). Since the new kernels
like to ring false acpi alarms this is even more annoying.

  Thermal zone 1 : activ, 42 C
  Trip points :
  -
  critical (S5): 103 C
  passive: 100 C: tc1=1 tc2=2 tsp=100 devices=0xdd984338

  active[2]: 52 C: devices=0xdd98f324
  active[3]: 40 C: devices=0xdd98f2d4

  Thermal zone 2 : ok, 48 C
  Trip points :

  critical (S5): 103 C

  Thermal zone 3 : ok, 35 C
  Trip points :
  -
  critical (S5): 103 C
  passive: 53 C: tc1=1 tc2=2 tsp=300 devices=0xdd984338

Note that this would possibly work if the in-kernel sofware suspend was
used. However, Debian cannot use it because it does not work with
ramdisks. I guess it is necessary to patch the kernel to try and run
something like hibernate.sh at some lower temperature.
