Bug#622575: Rotating display should automatically switch to appropriate vrgb subpixel antialiasing
Package: gnome-settings-daemon Version: 2.30.2-3 Severity: wishlist Currently, after rotating the display with xrandr -o left or xrandr -o right, gnome-settings-daemon continues using the same subpixel antialiasing mode. By definition, if the subpixel mode worked before rotation, it won't work after rotation. Thus, I propose that gnome-settings-daemon should automatically switch to the appropriate subpixel antialiasing mode when the screen rotates. Similarly, gnome-settings-daemon should switch from rgb to bgr antialiasing when inverting the screen. - Josh Triplett -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.38-2-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages gnome-settings-daemon depends on: ii gconf22.28.1-6 GNOME configuration database syste ii libc6 2.11.2-13 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libcairo2 1.10.2-6 The Cairo 2D vector graphics libra ii libdbus-1-3 1.4.6-1simple interprocess messaging syst ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.92-1 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libfontconfig12.8.0-2.1 generic font configuration library ii libgconf2-4 2.28.1-6 GNOME configuration database syste ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-02.23.3-3 GDK Pixbuf library ii libglib2.0-0 2.28.4-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgnome-desktop-2-17 2.30.2-2 Utility library for loading .deskt ii libgnome2-common 2.30.0-1 The GNOME library - common files ii libgnomekbd4 2.30.2-2 GNOME library to manage keyboard c ii libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10 0.10.32-2 GStreamer libraries from the base ii libgstreamer0.10-00.10.32-6 Core GStreamer libraries and eleme ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.4-3 The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libnotify1 [libnotify1-gtk2.1 0.5.0-2sends desktop notifications to a n ii libx11-6 2:1.4.3-1 X11 client-side library ii libxi62:1.4.2-1 X11 Input extension library ii libxklavier16 5.0-2 X Keyboard Extension high-level AP gnome-settings-daemon recommends no packages. Bug#622397: netperfmeter: Maybe too strong Recommends
On Dienstag 12 April 2011, Nelson A. de Oliveira wrote: Package: netperfmeter Version: 1.1.7-1 Severity: wishlist Hi! I was taking a look at netperfmeter and thinking if its recommends (iputils-ping, iputils-tracepath, subnetcalc, traceroute) aren't too strong (they should maybe be downgraded to suggests). The idea behind these recommends is that a user of netperfmeter will -- at a very high probability -- also test and configure a network setup. Therefore, basic testing and configuration tools like ping, traceroute, tracepath and subnetcalc are highly useful. So, if the package mangement tool is configured to automatically install recommends, the user will directly get these tools with the netperfmeter install. If a user is really interested in a minimalistic install, he just can use apt- get --no-install-recommends (or similar options for other package management tools). Then, netperfmeter will be installed without the recommended tools. Best regards Thomas Dreibholz signature.asc Description: This is a digitally signed message part.

Bug#622576: linux-image-2.6.38-2-amd64: Laptop reboot since upgrade to 2.6.38-3 kernel in testing
Package: linux-2.6 Version: 2.6.38-3 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable Hi, Since the upgrade of the kernel in testing to 2.6.38 I have had serious issues. Every once and a while, my laptop just reboots (It looks like a kernel panic, however, this is not displayed on screen, nor anything is in the log files). Iam not fully sure whats the cause, as there is just no info in the log files at all, as far I can see. Iam not able to reproduce how the crash happens, it seems randomly. In some cases it happens just after I did boot, in other cases I can work a hour on my laptops and it crashes. If anyone can give instructions on how to get more information iam ofcourse willing to provide the required information. Right now, iam considering going back to the 2.6.32 kernel. Bug#622584: XB-Python-Version: header and broken grammar in long description
Package: trac-privateticketsplugin Version: 2.0.3-1 Severity: minor Hello, debian/control contains an indented line reading XB-Python-Version: ${python:Versions} which is interpreted to be part of the long description. I'm sure this is not intended. Other than that I think Privateticketsplugin allows to config Trac that each user only be able to see tickets wich is the person mentioned as owner, reporter or included in CC list isn't a correct sentence (apart from s/wich/which/). Maybe better: Privateticketsplugin allows to config Trac that each user is only be able to see tickets that (s)he is the owner or reporter for or that includes her/him in the CC list. Bug#620304: tmux: Incorrect dropping of privileges allows users to obtain utmp group privileges
Hello Nicholas, On Wed, Apr 13, 2011 at 12:31 AM, Nicholas Marriott nicholas.marri...@gmail.com wrote: Hi Not to say I told you so or anything, but this might be a good time to reiterate that doing this is a bad idea: the minor inconvenience it prevents (easily avoided by the user with either tmux -S or by setting TMPDIR) is much less of a potential problem than running with elevated privileges. Romain and I are about to change the behaviour and drop the privileges completely. Maybe at the end it will be only setting a proper TMPDIR or having a note for the users to point out to how to use 'tmux -S'. I should have considered this in the first place. Now I'm going to have to spend at least some of my time saying no, not tmux, Debian security problem... As this is my fault for having introduced the modifcations I apologize deeply for wasting your time. For the record Ubuntu is affected too but not Fedora which has a seperate group 'tmux'. Bug#622560: signing-party: please include a way to parse gpgparticipants output for caff
Re: Luca Capello 2011-04-13 87d3krt4y5@gismo.pca.it $ grep -A 1 '\[x\].*\[x\]' $FILE | grep ^pub | cut -c 13-20 This generates a list of all keys to be signed, one per line, which however caff does not accept, given that it expects keys as last argument separated by spaces. However, the following does not work /usr/share/doc/signing-party/caff/README.many-keys says that caff options `cat ksp-fingerprints.txt` works. either: $ grep -A 1 '\[x\].*\[x\]' $FILE | grep ^pub | cut -c 13-20 | \ tr '\n' ' ' | caff -u $KEY That looks like it should be | xargs caff I guess a generic --read-fingerprints-from-file option would be nice. Bug#622274: Better visibility of what can you do with Debian on the Debian main page

Linking to blends and/or subprojects would be addressing target groups, which would probably be useful. I do really like this suggestion! My proposal (which is orthogonal) is linking to applications, just to show that Debian is not just an operating system as defined on our title page (set of basic programs and utilities that make your computer run.) I recently wondered if we should use the (buzz word) application store. I do not really like buzz words but we are de facto what people understand behind this word. I have no idea if we might be able to do better with the wording because usually you *buy* something in a store, but Debian is some place where you get things for free. * a new page, prominently listing the top applications (tbd - but the target group is the average user, so this would probably include stuff like libreoffice, iceweasel, apache/php/mysql and other web stuff etc.; then mention kde and gnome and perhaps point to their application pages, and possibly include a more stuff link, pointing to a package db browsable by debtags/categories (does this already exist? Offline right now, can't check.) * obviously needs to link to how can I install this stuff information * should not be a wall of text like so many of our pages are. all the applications I've mentioned above have a logo... Sounds good. When reading the first items I was thinking: This might become a longish page with a lot of text before we might come to the Blends / subgroups point. But using somehow graphic representations might make this suggestion quite interesting. (But we should make sure that target users for Debian Accessibility can also understand this page.) Should I do a draft of such an applications page? Let's not get into fights on which application should be listed (yet) - we can always make it a dynamic page and list a random selection of applications... :-) Yes, please do. BTW, what about a Tag Cloud of applications regarding to popcon (and I really mean applications not libraries and basic system requirements). Again: maybe we also could/should link to subprojects/blends/... that address specific target user groups - it's just a thought I had after reading that discussion. Bug#588305: cifs-utils: Can't mount shares of the type host/directory/sharename
Hi Luk! Thanks for your explanation. On Mon, Apr 11, 2011 at 07:38:49PM +0200, Luk Claes wrote: Is a sharename containing a '/' what you meant by directory/sharename or is it even something else? Well, it is a Windows share, so I don’t really know how it is configured. Maybe my explanation is not really correct. So let me try again: I have a server (e.g. home.local) with (probably) a share called home containing all user home directories. But a normal user doesn’t have direct access to the home directory, only to his own directory under home. So my service URI would look like //home.local/home/stse. This didn’t work with cifs-utils 4.1. I now tested 4.9 and it works again, so this bug can be closed. So now I only have two problems left but I don’t know if they are bugs in cifs-utils (tested with 4.9): - DFS mounts with kernels 2.6.35 are not working; - Kerberos and DFS mounts are not working really well together; - if your DFS name is your domain name (e.g. ads.local) pointing to the two servers dc1.ads.local and dc2.ads.local, trying to do a kerberos mount with //ads.local/ gives the error that there is no cifs ticket for ads.local. Using //dc1.ads.local/ it works. But if you have a share //dc1.ads.local/software where software is a link to //ds.ads.local/software no new kerberos ticket will be requested. Bug#622593: ITP: libeval-closure-perl -- Perl module to safely and cleanly create closures via string eval
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: Alessandro Ghedini al3x...@gmail.com * Package name: libeval-closure-perl Version : 0.03 Upstream Author : Jesse Luehrs d...@tozt.net * URL : http://search.cpan.org/dist/Eval-Closure/ * License : GPL-1+ or Artistic Programming Lang: Perl Description : Perl module to safely and cleanly create closures via string eval String eval is often used for dynamic code generation. For instance, Moose uses it heavily, to generate inlined versions of accessors and constructors, which speeds code up at runtime by a significant amount. String eval is not without its issues however - it's difficult to control the scope it's used in (which determines which variables are in scope inside the eval), and it can be quite slow, especially if doing a large number of evals. . Eval::Closure attempts to solve both of those problems. It provides an eval_closure function, which evals a string in a clean environment, other than a fixed list of specified variables. It also caches the result of the eval, so that doing repeated evals of the same source, even with a different environment, will be much faster (but note that the description is part of the string to be evaled, so it must also be the same (or non-existent) if caching is to work properly). -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Unfortunately I reinstalled wamerican on both affected computers before receiving this email, so I can't do much investigation into the cause of the problem. However, I can report that it wasn't caused because my /var partition was full. On all three machines everything is mounted under one partition with between 50% and 70% free. usually related to nearly full /var partitions. Bug#622570: linux-image-2.6.38-2-s390x: Unable to handle kernel pointer dereference at virtual kernel address (null).
Hi Stephen, Stephen Powell wrote: I installed linux-image-2.6.38-2-s390x version 2.6.38-3 on my up-to-date Wheezy system today. It runs in a virtual machine under z/VM 5.4.0 running in an LPAR on an IBM z/890. It IPLed just fine. After the IPL, the system fell idle for a while. Then a CRON job kicked off, which caused a page fault, which caused a kernel oops. Here is the log: Thanks. If you find time, could you try the latest (or close to the latest) upstream version, following the instructions from here? http://kernel-handbook.alioth.debian.org/ch-common-tasks.html#s-kernel-org-package (Short version: $ (umask 077 mkdir workspace) $ cd workspace $ wget http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/testing/linux-2.6.39-rc3.tar.bz2 $ tar -xf linux-2.6.39-rc3.tar.bz2 $ cd linux-* $ make localmodconfig $ make deb-pkg $ cd .. # dpkg -i *.deb ) If that version fails, too, the best thing would be to bisect. It works like so: # apt-get install git $ git clone git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git $ cd linux-2.6 $ git bisect start -- arch/s390 mm $ git bisect bad v2.6.39-rc3 $ git bisect good v2.6.32 $ make localmodconfig $ make deb-pkg ... try it out, and ... $ git bisect good; # if it has the null pointer dereference $ git bisect bad; # if it doesn't $ git bisect skip; # if some other problem makes it hard to test $ make deb-pkg ... repeat as many times as wanted ... This can help quite a lot, to figure out what change or family of changes introduced a bug. Thanks again and hope that helps. Do we know if any of the reverse dependencies in Squeeze use ParseDepends() and might be affected by the change? Since we do not support multi-arch in python-apt in squeeze (python-apt raises exceptions on multi-arch systems in squeeze), there should not be any reverse dependencies using it. Ah, okay. As a side note, if the default in apt's debListParser::ParseDepends() is apparently wrong, is there a reason that's being worked around in python-apt, rather than fixed in apt directly? It's fixed in apt 0.8.13.2. I meant fixed in Squeeze's apt, really. That's not really my territory. Probably was requested afterwards as part of the ftpmaster stuff. We can't backport the fix to APT's squeeze, as it would be useless without recompiling anyway. Yes, I am not happy with changing the default value for a function argument (especially without changing soname, as that's formally an ABI break). It's been done by David Kalnischkies, I'm sure he has a reason for it. Yeah, I have to admit I'm not overjoyed with it. On the other hand, an apt-pkg soname change in stable would also suck. Bug#622597: openoffice.org-writer: Copy from a heading erroneously copies the (unselected) heading number also
Package: openoffice.org-writer Version: 1:3.3.0-8 Severity: normal This is a regression in copying, it wasn'tt like this before. Example: I have a document with the heading 1.2 Multiprotocol label switching and want to copy that in order to paste it into another editor (LyX). I select the text only (Multiprotocol label switching), press ctrl+c, switch to the other editor, does a paste. I expect to paste: Multiprotocol label switching but I get: 1.2 Multiprotocol label switching The problem is that now I have to remove the numbers for every heading I copy like this. Even though I took care to *not* select the number! Earlier versions of openoffice did not have this problem, so it is a regression. Pasting into openoffice itself works, apparently openoffice knows how to discard the unwanted number. But that should not be necessary. Note that the number gets copied even if I only select part of the heading. I.e. Label becomes 1.2 Label This does not make sense. Suggested fix: Do not copy the heading number onto the clipboard when it isn't selected. Because the user clearly don't want it in that case. (It is selectable by selecting from the previous line) Even better: Don't copy the number, not even when all of the heading is selected. Because: * If the user pastes into openoffice, then OO will know that this is a heading. And so OO can number it corrrectly. The copied number is likely to be wrong. * If the user pastes into another editor, then it likely has its own scheme for numbering headers automatically. So the number from OO is not wanted as raw text, and it is probably wrong anyway. -- System Information: Debian Release: wheezy/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (800, 'unstable'), (800, 'stable'), (700, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.38-1-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=nb_NO.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=nb_NO.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages openoffice.org-writer depends on: ii libreoffice-writer1:3.3.1-1 office productivity suite -- word openoffice.org-writer recommends no packages. openoffice.org-writer suggests no packages. -- debconf-show failed -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#592719: floppy mount problem caused by udisks-daemon
Hello, When udisks-daemon is running floppy drive cannot be mounted. The daemon causes the drive to unmount automatically. The daemon seems to monitor /dev/fd0 and unmounts it if any attempt is made to mount it. If I add 1 more floppy (/dev/fd1) then the floppy can be mounted manually with the mount command. The floppy can be accessed within the operating system, e.g. writing new file system to the drive etc works fine. If the daemon is killed, then the floppy drive (fd0) can be mounted but the daemon restarts and unmounts the floppy drive again. Attempts through GUI (GDM) or command prompt fails to mount and it breaks floppy functionality. Regards, Seshadri

Bug#598983: another idea for saving the settings
Hi, It seems upstream wants that you can save multiple configurations. What do you think about this idea (based in yours)?: 1.- If you save the settings, the default file would be ~/.gpsprune/.pruneconfig. 2.- If ~/.gpsprune/.pruneconfig exists, it would be the default configuration. 3.- If ~/.gpsprune/.pruneconfig doesn't exist, gpsprune would find a .pruneconfig file in the current folder (as it is doing now). 4.- Altough the default file to save configuration files would be ~/.gpsprune/.pruneconfig, you have the choice to save the settings file in another place with another name. 5.- If you don't want the default settings, you can load another configuration if you want, through a new Load settings item in Settings menu. If you like this idea, I can forward it to upstream. If you don't like, please tell me if it can be improved. Bug#622604: demote openssh-blacklist dependency to recommendation
Package: openssh-server Version: 1:5.5p1-6 Severity: wishlist Hi, I propose to demote the hard dependency on openssh-blacklist to a Recommends. It's better to be safe than sorry, and the Recommends ensures that by default the blacklist is still installed. However those users that are certain they don't need this extra check can choose to remove it, which they cannot now. There are cases in which the blacklist doesn't make real sense, for example on systems with one user where this user is certain he has a nonblacklisted key. DSA-1571 has been nearly three years ago now. Wheezy will not be released for at least another year, so the slight demotion after more than four years doesn't seem excessively risky to me. This was already requested in http://lists.debian.org/debian-ssh/2011/02/msg5.html but I didn't spot a reply yet. Bug#621913: dictionaries-common: Dictionaries-common won't configure because no, dictionary is selected
On Tue, Apr 12, 2011 at 08:44:26PM +0200, Bertrand Marc wrote: Hi, Thank you for your answer, I had no access to my linux box these days. I don't have any word list from ispell installed since I don't use ispell. I use myspell-fr-gut (or hunspell-fr) and aspell-fr-gut. Here is the log of the failure with DICT_COMMON_DEBUG=1. Thanks for the info, Bertrand. What I mean by wordlists are not ispell dictionaries but packages like wamerican, wfrench and similar packages, containing plain wordlists. wamerican is standard, so it is presumably in your system unless you explicitely decided to remove it. According to your log, debconf seems to think there is no wordlist installed, but I guess that is not true. Please look at /usr/share/dict contents and report installed wordlist contents there. If debconf database is correct, you can look for the list of installed wordlists according to debconf by running $ echo metaget shared/packages-wordlist owners | debconf-communicate Besides a warning about /var/cache/debconf/passwords.dat, this should ine a list like 0 wamerican, wbrazilian, wcatalan, wfaroese, wgalician-minimos, wngerman, wnorwegian, wportuguese, wspanish, wswiss containing return code and a list of installed wordlists. If above list is empty (just return code) and some wordlists are actually installed, problem may be caused by the debconf database corruption I mentioned in my other mail. If so, running /usr/share/debconf/fix_db.pl as root should refresh your debconf database, and make an option be offered when dictionaries-common is configured. The only other reason I can think to cause this problem is a package having explicitly unregistered shared/packages-wordlist question, but that is really unlikely. Hello, After further investigation, I have remarked that this problem is not as bad as it seems, it is more a display matter than a functional one. It is indeed still possible to have access to the attendees list and do modifications by maximizing the attendees window (trying to moving further to the right the right border next to the attendees list zone does not work before maximizing). In fact, the extra icons appearing only push out of the view to the right the attendees names and email addresses, without creating a horizontal scrollbar, thus making it difficult to realise that the information is still there but hidden further right. Hope it helps. Best regards. -- Jad Zoghaïb - Message transféré De : Jad Zoghaïb jad.zogh...@yahoo.fr À : Debian Bug Tracking System sub...@bugs.debian.org Envoyé le : Jeu 31 mars 2011, 20h 30min 56s Objet : calendar-google-provider: modifying the attendees list of an existing event is not possible Package: calendar-google-provider Version: 1.0~b1+dfsg2-2 Severity: important Hello, In Icedove with Iceowl extension, no modification of the attendees of an event is possible after its creation. When trying to access the interface used to add or remove attendees (through the Invite attendees button in Icedove with Iceowl extension) for an existing event : - the interface opens but no names are displayed in the attendees list, thus preventing from uninviting people - a lot of small icons (check, left arrow, right arrow...) are displayed where there would normally be the attendees names and email addresses - no input can be done, thus preventing from inviting other people to the event The only workaround I know is doing the modification through the web interface of the Google calendar. This problem occurs everytime when trying to modify an existing event, the event being either created from the web interface of a Google calendar or from Icedove with Iceowl extension accessing a Google calendar. The problem does not occur with a local calendar. I have not tested if the bug occurs with a web calendar different from Google. Please tell me if you need more details. Bug#519931: sends welcome E-mail when 'submod' is enabled
Package: mlmmj Severity: normal Tags: patch looks like the original submitter never got around to a patch, and the problem is still present in version 1.2.17-2. recently i've run into the same (two) problems and so i've created a patch fixing them; would you please forward the patch upstream, too? let's quickly recap the issues (this bug report is 2 years old) and my solutions: * first, the cmdline mlmmj-sub command behaves badly when submod is on: it sends a please wait mail to the email in question (undesirable if we're subscribing somebody in an automated fashion) and a sub mod required to the admin - and then all progress stalls until the admin responds to the sub mod email. this is bad because it makes automating subscriptions via the cmdline tool impossible. solution: i added the -X option to mlmmj-sub which disables submod for this run of mlmmj-sub. so, with -X given (by a human admin) mlmmj-sub lets you subscribe somebody on the go. without -X you geht the normal behaviour just like before. i've updated the manpage, too. * second, when subscriptions are handled via email, one cannot switch off the welcome/goodbye emails that the subscriber receives. (on the command line mlmmj-sub/unsub can be told not to send greetings by leaving out the -c option.) solution: i've added a boolean tunable called nogreetings (plus docs) which, when set and only if nosubconfirm is on as well, prevents the welcome/goodbye messages. why did i decide to make this conditional on nosubconfirm? rule of least surprise. without nosubconfirm the subscriber has to go through challenge/confirmation anyway, so first having them jump through these hoops and then not telling them about the success of the procedure seems silly. note: nogreetings doesn't affect submod and its please wait mail - i'm undecided as to whether it should or not. regards az #! /bin/sh /usr/share/dpatch/dpatch-run ## 10_submod_cmdline.dpatch by a...@debian.org ## ## All lines beginning with `## DP:' are a description of the patch. ## DP: fix for #519931, submod vs. greeting messages and submod vs. cmdline @DPATCH@ diff -urNad mlmmj-1.2.17~/TUNABLES mlmmj-1.2.17/TUNABLES --- mlmmj-1.2.17~/TUNABLES 2011-04-13 20:16:51.0 +1000 +++ mlmmj-1.2.17/TUNABLES 2011-04-13 20:16:55.523783579 +1000 @@ -34,6 +34,16 @@ If there are emailaddresses in this file, then these will be used instead of owner. + · nogreetings (boolean) + + If this file is present, then no welcome or goodbye messages will be + sent when somebody is (un)subscribed. Bug#622038: lingot: FTBFS: lingot-audio-jack.c:180:28: error: 'JackPortIsActive' undeclared (first use in this function)
Yes, the build dep is properly set to libjack-jackd2-dev in the debian package, but there is a bug in the source code, in the configure.in file (line 66) PKG_CHECK_MODULES(JACK, jack = 0.102.0) Therefore you can download the source and try to compile against libjack-dev version 1:0.102. The configure script wont find the problem and the compilation will fail, as lingot uses the identifier 'JackPortIsActive', only available in the new API (that was my mistake). My intention is to avoid using the former identifier, so we can downgrade the dependency to libjack-dev 1:0.102. Ibán.

See sleekxmpp as an example. Anyway, python-multibuild GSoC project will hopefully change that (CDBS will no longer have to care about building Python extensions) Interesting. I suspect, however, that it is still relevant to keep the snippets for the various build systems. Since cyrus-common is a data package, it is quite likely it does not need actually to depend on cyrus-common-2.2|cyrus-common-2.4 and removing this dependency would remove the circular dependency, so I would suggest you do so. See threads http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/06/msg02111.html http://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2005/11/msg01101.html Cheers, -- Bill. ballo...@debian.org Imagine a large red swirl here. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. It also adds the ability to mount /tmp as a tmpfs with RAMTMP=yes, and have /run/shm use the main /run tmpfs with RAMSHM=no. I also went through the initscripts bugs with mbiebl, and this closes 15 bugs which /run and the associated changes fix. Patch rebased on top of Christian's NMU. Also added special handling for /tmp and a symlink and added default size and mode for each tmpfs in /etc/default/tmpfs and removed mode hardcoding from scripts. -- .''`.
