Bug#819855: kicad: i18n files missing

2016-04-02 Thread Carsten Schönert
Package: kicad
Version: 4.0.2+dfsg1-4
Severity: normal

Hi,

it seems the various kicad.mo files are missed in the kicad package. So
no internationalization is available after switching to a different
language than English.
The build is creating the kicad.mo files but no debhelper script is
picking them up. That's simple because the *.install helper hasn't a
line that tells debhelper to do so.

Regards
Carsten

Bug#814768: libsqlite3-0: Wrong handle of relative symbolic links

2016-04-02 Thread Yuriy M. Kaminskiy
As sqlite needs to create -journal or -wal/-shm files in same directory
as database, if you symlink, hardlink, (and any possible variation, like
mount --bind, overlayfs, fuse, network mounts, 9p, etc) database to
different names, and attempt to access them at once, things will break.
In a hard way.

This is *documented* to *not* work.
See /usr/share/doc/sqlite3-doc/howtocorrupt.html, "Multiple links to the
same file".
In the best case, sqlite will warn you and won't work. But more often
you should expect silent database corruption.

Bug#819854: Provide a letsencrypt-no-thanks package

2016-04-02 Thread Pirate Praveen
Package: letsencrypt
Severity: important

Please provide a letsencrypt-no-thanks package like dbconfig-no-thanks so we
can make letsencrypt optional.

Currently gitlab depends on letsencrypt but that brings in about 12 python
packages for those who don't want to use letsencrypt.

I'm wondering - does this mean that quotas are now unusable in jessie and we
have to wait until a new Debian stable release (or use testing)? Is there maybe
a workaround for this issue for those who want (or have) to stick to jessie?

No, I don't see any need to change the debconf documentation here.
dpkg-reconfigure(8) says that it will ask configuration questions, not
that it will ask every single thing mentioned in the output of
debconf-show(1).

It can't. debconf fundamentally doesn't have this information. (Except
to the extent of knowing which questions have already been asked in the
past, which debconf-show already tells you via the '*' prefix.)

Setup scripts can use pytest-runner to add setup.py test support for pytest

Will package this as part of the Debian Python Modules Team. Is required

For some reason thought this was already in Debian, however I can't find

The only indication I can see that this is Expat/MIT licenses is:

Bug#819852: apt-cacher-ng: support by-hash index files

2016-04-02 Thread Colin Watson
Package: apt-cacher-ng
Version: 0.8.0-3
Severity: normal

I've very nearly finished the server-side implementation of by-hash
index files for Ubuntu. This feature was added to the client side (i.e.
apt) relatively recently, and there's a post-hoc specification here:

https://wiki.debian.org/RepositoryFormat#indices_acquisition_via_hashsums_.28by-hash.29

I just got to the point of being able to publish an unsigned test
archive with by-hash published (though not yet advertised with the
Acquire-By-Hash flag; for the moment I'm forcing it in sources.list).
My first client test failed to fetch the by-hash files and fell back to
the traditional by-name versions. For a moment I wondered why, then
realised that my usual schroot setup sends everything through
apt-cacher-ng. If I remove the proxy setup then all is well. I think
apt-cacher-ng should allow by-hash files by default.

This configuration file entry fixes the problem for me locally. I
suspect therefore that it would be enough to just add this to the
default pfilepat in source/acfg_defaults.cc (note: not vfilepat like the
by-name index files, because the point of this scheme is that the
content won't change without also changing the URL):

  PfilePatternEx: /dists/.*/by-hash/.*

In case it helps, here's a debug dump from apt without this
configuration file entry:

OK then please mention that on man dpkg-reconfigure.

And also mention that on man dpkg-reconfigure that it has no secret
--double-force option to get a way to tinker with all the items shown
with debconf-show even if inappropriate, like you said:

No, sorry. There is no such general mechanism beyond simply using
dpkg-reconfigure, whose defaults generally arrange to get a package to
re-show all of its questions; it's up to the package to implement
reconfiguration appropriately. Things do generally work fine if debconf
configuration is implemented in the way recommended in the debconf
documentation.

It is not necessarily appropriate to be able to reconfigure every item
shown by debconf-show, because some of them may be used for internal
state tracking by the package's maintainer scripts, or depend on the
current situation at the time when the maintainer scripts are run;
almost all of libc6's questions fall into one of these two categories.
Going through them each in detail:

 * glibc/restart-services: The value of this question is reset and
re-detected from the set of currently-running services each time the
question is asked. Reconfiguration wouldn't be useful.
 * glibc/kernel-not-supported, glibc/restart-failed,
glibc/disable-screensaver, glibc/kernel-too-old: These are notes or
   errors; there's nothing to reconfigure.
 * glibc/upgrade: If you answer no to this question, then the upgrade is
stopped and the way to continue it is by getting dpkg to unpack the
package again, not by reconfiguring. If you answer yes, then the
upgrade continues; a mere reconfiguration wouldn't be able to roll
that back, so there's no point offering reconfiguration of this
   question.

Arranging to re-show all of these would have no value other than
completism, and almost certainly negative value due to the sheer
confusion it would cause. Even if it were possible, which it isn't, I'm
not going to provide instructions on doing a thing that shouldn't be
done.

However, there's one part of this where your request makes sense.
libraries/restart-without-asking is more like a normal debconf question.
It isn't reset before being asked, and its value influences the
behaviour of future upgrades. It seems to me to be a clear bug that it
isn't possible to reconfigure this using "dpkg-reconfigure libc6".
Doing this might be a little more involved than usual since libc6 has
complex maintainer scripts and this question is asked in the preinst,
but it should be possible to make it work.

optional targets override_dh_foo-arch and override_dh_foo-indep

Once that both "dpkg-buildpackage -A" and "dpkg-buildpackage -B" work
properly, the package would be suitable to be uploaded in source-only

Bug#819840: aptitude: Segfaults if suspended and foregrounded on virtual linux console

2016-04-02 Thread Axel Beckert
Package: aptitude
Version: 0.7.8-1

Hi,

aptitude segfaults under the following circumstances:

1. Log in as root on a Linux virtual console, i.e. after pressing
   Ctrl-Alt-F1.

2. Start aptitude in TUI mode, i.e. without any options or parameters.

3. Press Ctrl-Z to suspend aptitude.

4. Enter "fg" on the commandline and press Enter to bring aptitude back
   to the foreground.

5. Segfault.

This does not happen, if

* if tried inside an xterm
* if just TERM is set to "linux", but the terminal is no virtual linux
console, i.e. "env TERM=linux aptitude" does not exhibit the issue.

Unfortunately I was not able to reproduce the issue under gdb
directly. But this is the backtrace I got out of the core dump:

Reading symbols from /usr/bin/aptitude-curses...Reading symbols from

Here you change only the other_size line, not my_size.
When other.path is a broken symlink, this will work (and diffoscope
doesn't crash).
But self.path could also be a broken symlink (if you reverse the
diffoscope arguments, `diffoscope bar foo`). In this case diffoscope
would crash with the same problem.

Can you please amend your patch to fix this also?

Wouldn't be better to fill an RFP, then take it as ITP when you are
available, if no one works on this in the mean time?

Bug#819703: Alternative solution

2016-04-02 Thread Jesse Smith
I think a few things could be done with Xscreensaver which would be
better than removing the package (which I use and enjoy) from Debian.

For example:

1. Yes, let's remove the pop-up, it's really annoying, offers an
impractical suggestion and does not accomplish for most users.

2. Why not remove the author's e-mail address from the Help->About menu?
Leave the name so proper credit is given, but remove the e-mail address.
In its place, put a link to the Debian bug tracker. Then the author
won't get flooded with bug reports and bugs can be properly handled
here, downstream. After all, people are not likely to e-mail someone if
they don't have the e-mail address.

3. Possibly rename the Debian package so that searches for it don't lead
back to the author's website/e-mail. I liked someone else's suggestion
of ex-screensaver.

With the above three actions it should remove almost all bug reports
against older versions (for the author), prevent Debian users from
seeing the annoying pop-up and allow everyone to keep using the software.

We should certainly fix roger-router in Ubuntu; I'm not sure how I missed that
one over there. I'll file a bug and fix that early next week.

>Should I be mistaken to think that this ticket is invalid?

It depends on how you look at it. :) If I can convince the libpeas maintainer
to make the split, then roger-router in Debian will need to be fixed, hence
this bug would be valid. But it doesn't seem like I'm going to be successful
in convincing the libpeas maintainer about the split, so there's certainly
nothing for you to do now. Of course, we can always reopen this bug later if
the libpeas maintainer agrees with the change.

I look at this as a tracking bug - something that needs to happen if another
bug gets resolved, but nothing to do right now. Thanks for your response; if
you think it's best to close this as invalid, no problem.

Granted. That needs an extra option (which I need seldom enough so
that I have to look it up everytime I need it) plus a manual cleanup

Ok, thanks for having looked at it.

Bug#819831: cargo: FTBFS: unable to satisfy build-depends

2016-04-02 Thread Santiago Vila
Package: src:cargo
Version: 0.8.0-1
Severity: serious

Dear maintainer: This package may not be built in testing or unstable.

When trying to build it with sbuild, this is what happens:
-
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
sbuild-build-depends-cargo-dummy : Depends: libcurl4-openssl-dev but it is not
going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
-

and in fact this may not be solved by hand, because:

* Installing libgit2-dev removes libcurl4-openssl-dev.
* Installing libcurl4-openssl-dev removes libgit2-dev.

Sorry not to have a fix, but certainly this is RC for stretch, as
packages in testing should be buildable in testing.

Thanks.

Bug#819830: apt: unhelpful error message when trying to install build-dependencies for cargo in testing

2016-04-02 Thread Santiago Vila
Package: apt
Version: 1.2.9

Dear maintainers:

On a stretch chroot I'm unable to do this:

# apt-get build-dep cargo
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
builddeps:cargo : Depends: libcurl4-openssl-dev but it is not going to be
installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Ok, let's try to install libcurl4-openssl-dev by hand:

# apt-get install libcurl4-openssl-dev
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
[...]
Do you want to continue? [Y/n]

I answer "yes" and the libcurl4-openssl-dev package is now installed.

Let's try again:

# apt-get build-dep cargo
Reading package lists... Done

But it's installed! How is this possible?

Information that may be relevant: "apt-cache showsrc cargo" shows this:

Package: cargo
[...]
Build-Depends: debhelper (>= 9.20141010), dpkg-dev (>= 1.17.14), rustc (>=
1.1), curl, pkg-config, cmake, git, cargo (>= 0.7.0) , python-dulwich
, python-pytoml , ca-certificates, bash-completion,
libhttp-parser-dev, libcurl4-openssl-dev, libssh2-1-dev, libgit2-dev,
libssl-dev, zlib1g-dev
[...]

I believe testing is inconsistent right now, because installing
libgit2-dev by hand removes libcurl4-openssl-dev.

But even in such case, the message from apt is very misleading, as it
says libcurl4-openssl-dev may not be installed, which, alone, is not true.

It should probably say that libgit2-dev and libcurl4-openssl-dev may
not be both installed.

Thanks.

I'm not its maintainer, but will ask upstream. The only change I've
found states[1]:
"The sqlite3_column_decltype() routine should return NULL, not an
empty string, if the column has no declared type."

Bug#819829: dash: "hash: Illegal option -v"

2016-04-02 Thread Justin B Rye
Package: dash
Version: 0.5.8-2.2
Severity: minor

On a dash command prompt:

 $ man dash | grep -A 11 'hash -'
 hash -rv command ...
The shell maintains a hash table which remembers the locations of
commands. With no arguments whatsoever, the hash command prints
out the contents of this table. Entries which have not been
looked at since the last cd command are marked with an asterisk;
it is possible for these entries to be invalid.

With arguments, the hash command removes the specified commands
from the hash table (unless they are functions) and then locates
them. With the -v option, hash prints the locations of the com-
mands as it finds them. The -r option causes the hash command to
delete all the entries in the hash table except for functions.
 $ hash -v man && echo OK
dash: 2: hash: Illegal option -v
$ hash -rv man && echo OK
 OK

POSIX doesn't seem to mandate a -v, so I would call this a wishlist
documentation issue, but then again if there isn't a "-v" option, why
is the "-rv" version accepted? And if there is, why is it silent?

Bug#819828: texlive-pictures: fast-diagram requires relsize and xargs packages

2016-04-02 Thread Alban Gruin
Package: texlive-pictures
Version: 2014.20141024-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I made a document that includes the package "fast-diagram". But when I
tried to run pdflatex on that file, the following errors occurred :

! LaTeX Error: File `relsize.sty' not found.

Type X to quit or to proceed,
or enter new name. (Default extension: sty)

  Enter file name:

! LaTeX Error: File `xargs.sty' not found.

Type X to quit or to proceed,
or enter new name. (Default extension: sty)

  Enter file name:

But it should build without errors.

These packages can be found into the Debian package texlive-latex-extra,
but texlive-pictures does not depends on it. Installing
texlive-latex-extra fixes the issue.

Barry,

thank you for the quick response.

I'm still at a loss what it is you are asking of me. The title of this
bug requests me to add a run-time dependency that doesn't even exist in
Debian yet. In Ubuntu the change you advocate has been made, but
apparently there were no changes necessary for roger-router alongside.
In fact, roger-router in Ubuntu still depends on libpeas-1.0.0 and not
libpeas-1.0-0-python2loader even though the package does exist there.

Should I be mistaken to think that this ticket is invalid?

Rolf

I don't get why you made it this way -- noninteractive frontend (ie, your
second change) does what #687443 asked for, so what's the point of having
apt-get -y ignore the frontend? This makes apt-listchanges inconsistent
with other parts of package upgrade, such as debconf or conffile prompts.

Neither of those take -y to mean "noninteractive" so both will still wait
for input, just like apt-listchange pre-2.86 did. These two changes you
did in 2.87 are redundant with each other...

I guess it might be good to ask apt guys about what -y is supposed to do,
as such inconsistency between different tools is bad.

Bug#819826: steam: libstdc++ check extremely expensive

2016-04-02 Thread Kevin Gillette
Package: steam
Version: 1.0.0.51-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

Steam takes a rather long time to start. "Steam App" (game) load time
may also be subsequently affected, depending on available memory (VFS
cache).

Inside of the "/usr/games/steam" shell script are the lines:

  # remove steam-runtime's libstdc++ files, which are incompatible with
  # newer mesa drivers (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/78242)
  find $config -name libstdc++.so.6\* -execdir rm -f {} \;

Here, $config is "$HOME/.steam", which contains all installed files
for all installed games. Scanning that many directories may be rather
slow on a cold VFS cache for some filesystems. If the pertinent *.so
files are present in only a select few directories, those should be the
directories explicitly passed to find. Alternatively, we may be able to
forego the check entirely and use some kind of LD_PRELOAD solution. Or
we can provide this as bundled script that users can run if needed.

Commenting out the "find" line shaved minutes of processing spent
looking for this edge-case.

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?

Start Steam with ~600 GiB of installed games.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

5+ minutes delay before windows are drawn (compared to less than 3
seconds with the check disabled).

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

Quick startup time.

Bug#819825: librdf-ldf-perl: New upstream available

2016-04-02 Thread Kjetil Kjernsmo
Package: librdf-ldf-perl
Version: 0.17-1
Severity: wishlist

Dear Maintainer,

RDF::LDF has been released with version 0.19.

RDF::LDF tracks an evolving W3C specification, and they recently made
a change that breaks all existing software. RDF::LDF 0.19 fixes this
to make us uptodate with the spec.

My main motivation for pestering you about this is that Ubuntu
releases an LTS soon, and I would want to try to argue to them that it
is a good idea to allow an update for this package so that Ubuntu
ships with a non-compliant client, but that is much easier if they can
just sync from Debian. :-)

Cheers,

Kjetil

Sorry for the late response, but I can't imaginge how this could be

The root cause is that sqlite3_column_decltype() quotes its output in
3.12.0, where previously it didn't.

I'm attaching Perl and C test cases for it.

With 3.11.1 the output of these test cases is

  type:json text value:bar

and with 3.12.0 we get

  type:'json text' value:bar

So is this an intentional change or a regression?

There seems to be some disagreement as to the best course of action, with some
advocation for just porting any libpeas dependencies to Python 3. TBH I don't
use these so I don't have a strong opinion or motivation, except that I want
to reduce the overall dependence on Python 2 in Debian. We've already made
this split in Ubuntu and haven't seen any reports of problems, so to me it's a
low risk, high reward option, even if short-term (with the long term being a
full Python 3 port). At this point I guess it's up to the Gnome team in
Debian to decide how to proceed.

Bug#817033: FTBFS randomly. Missing build-depends on python-matplotlib

user sanv...@debian.org

severity 817033 serious
tags 817033 + patch

Dear maintainer: Because this error happens in the build stage, not in
the package creation stage, this is not really a "FTBFS when using
dpkg-buildpackage -A" bug, but a normal FTBFS bug. I'm therefore
raising the severity accordingly.

There are actually two different bugs here. One of them is that some
documentation seems to require the matplotlib library being present
to be built.

The other is that the Makefile does not properly check for errors.
This is a violation of Policy 4.6, "Error trapping in makefiles".

I believe the attached patch might fix both bugs, but I have not
tested it. Please give it a try.

BTW: You might want to forward this bug upstream as it is an upstream bug
in the Makefile.

Thanks.

Bug#819824: easy mode for needrestart

2016-04-02 Thread Patrick Schleizer
Package: needrestart
Severity: wishlist
X-Debbugs-CC: whonix-de...@whonix.org

Dear maintainer,

we are wondering if needrestart should be installed by default in Whonix.

When needrestart is automatically run during apt-get dist-upgrade,
I am concerned, that its output by default is too technical and verbose
and will therefore add more confusion.

Therefore I am hereby kindly asking if you could add an easy mode please?

- can be enabled by dropping some file into /etc/needrestart/conf.d
- no automatic restart
- it's output would be limited to the following

> Services need to be restarted. Reboot recommended.
> For more information, see 'man needrestart'.

Or does the current configuration already allow configuring needrestart
that way?

Cheers,
Patrick

Bug#496740: script: cannot execute binary file, when file is a normal shell script

2016-04-02 Thread Richard Jasmin
Package: bash
Version: 4.3-11+b1
Followup-For: Bug #496740

Dear Maintainer,

I have similar bug.
/bin/bash fails.
(cannot execute binary file of type ELF64)

as a result firejail of fails.
launching firejail qupzilla succeeds, so its not a firejail issue.

../ succeeds

seems to be indicative of a noexec bug where bash wants to copy the file into
temp space and run it. This is a NO-NO.
ESPECIALLY on web browsers and anything accessing the net.Files need to be ran
where they are.
This presents a vulnerability were temp spaces set exec.Malicious code can then
run.

We dont want this.
Since we cant turn debian into cubes, surely we should have as much protection
as possible.

if I invoke /bin/bash directly, it stalls and does nothing until I kill it.
IIRC, it should spawn a new shell(X console).

Hi

tupi was once set to "linux-any" due to Build-Depends on "qtmobility-dev"

But now it doesn't depend on qtmobility-dev anymore. So can it be set to "any"

Thank you!

Bug#819819: gnome-terminal: Two .desktop files with different filenames in GNOME menu

2016-04-02 Thread George Bateman
Package: gnome-terminal
Version: 3.20.0-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I recently noticed that I had two entries in the programs menu for Gnome
Terminal. This turned out to be caused by having two differently named
.desktop files present:
• /usr/share/applications/org.gnome.Terminal.desktop
• ~/.local/share/applications/gnome-terminal.desktop

The second, I assume, was automatically generated, but should have been
renamed when the name of the first changed. Deleting the second file
resolved the issue for me, leaving only one menu entry.

I've just verified that bug with the current version in jessie.

x11vnc -localhost -create

netstat -lntp | grep 5900

tcp0 0 127.0.0.1:5900 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
-
tcp6   0  0 :::5900 :::*LISTEN
-

The manpage states

-localhost
[...]
IPv6: if IPv6 is supported, this option automatically implies the IPv6 loopback
address '::1' as well.

This bug should be treated as a SECURITY relevant bug. Offering VNC services on
the network interface while claiming that it is only accessible via loopback is
really bad.

Bug#819818: libimlib2: off-by-one OOB read in __imlib_MergeUpdate

2016-04-02 Thread Yuriy M. Kaminskiy

Package: libimlib2
Version: 1.4.6-2+deb8u1
Severity: normal
Tags: upstream patch

Dear Maintainer,

1) I re-compiled imlib2 package with debug information,
2) compiled and installed tests (data, src/bin),
3) run `valgrind imlib2_test`,
4) moved mouse to right lower corner of window;

==16086== Invalid read of size 1
==16086==at 0x4E79C4E: __imlib_MergeUpdate (in
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libImlib2.so.1.4.6)

==16086==by 0x401773: main (in /usr/bin/imlib2_test)
==16086==  Address 0x9d20360 is 0 bytes after a block of size 1,200

==16086==at 0x4C28C20: malloc (vg_replace_malloc.c:296)
==16086==by 0x4E798E3: __imlib_MergeUpdate (in
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libImlib2.so.1.4.6)

==16086==by 0x401773: main (in /usr/bin/imlib2_test)

In gdb, it points to src/lib/updates.c:

   | for (xx = x + 1, ww = 1; |
  >|  (T(xx, y).used & T_USED) && (xx < tw); xx++,|
   | for (yy = y + 1, hh = 1, ok = 1; |

xx is 20 and tw is 20, so T(xx, y) addresses one byte out of buffer.

Pretty obvious, off-by-one error due to swapped condition order.
In unlucky case, this can result in application crash.
Security implications: very minor, DoS at most, only for application
drawing images using coordinates from untrusted source ("drawing images
from untrusted sources" by itself is safe).

Two *alternative* patches attached (apply only *one* of them).
TODO: I have not tried to search for similar pattern over codebase yet.

Note: there are no changes affecting this code in 1.4.7 (sid) or 1.4.8
(upstream).

Bug#819703: +1 not to remove. Fix the stable version

2016-04-02 Thread Jamil Said Jr .
First and foremost I am for fixing the stable version as soon as possible
(by fixing I mean remove the offending warnings). The maximum priority here,
in my view, it is to ensure that the people who depends on Debian stable can
get rid of these rude and disruptive warnings (which will scare and confuse
many), and that should be done in a regular update that can be applied via a
conservative apt-get update. Then I am for fixing all branches as well.

Then I believe we should NOT remove this package, just rename it in the next
version of Debian. Why throw away this good code? It serves people well! The
author desire is clearly out-of-touch, as he ignores that stable branches
are deliberately kept with older versions in name of better stability - his
position is untenable, and his behavior is less than polite (to put it
mildly). He released the code under a free, open source license, so heck
yeah we can change it.

For the record however, I want to thank the author for his good work on this
package - it is not easy to do what he did. I also understand his concerns,
but quite frankly, I believe this issue is one that he has to deal with
himself - maybe just have an specific email address for bugs, with a canned
automated response which could say something like this:

"Hello, thank you for reporting this problem and thus helping to improve
xscreensaver. I review all emails, but please keep in mind this: Many Linux
distributions ship older versions of this software; maybe the issue that you
are reporting is already fixed in a new release. Please check the following
link www.link.com to see the changelog (things that were fixed already in
previous versions), and if you see your problem there, then you should know
that you must get a updated version from this software. PLEASE NOTE THAT I
AM UNABLE TO ANSWER EMAILS RELATED TO BUGS THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN FIXED. If
the bug is new, I will get back to you. Cheers."

Problem solved! I hope that the author is reading this and will reconsider
his position. I for one appreciate his work and I would prefer that he
continues to be part of and contribute to Debian.

My 2 cents.

Jamil

The desktop files for qgis & qbrowser are correct.

/usr/bin/{qgis,qbrowser} are shell wrappers that set LD_LIBRARY_PATH for
the GRASS version on the system.

This is used to support multiple GRASS versions on the same system.

What problem are you working around?

The desktop files in the qgis backport work as expected, there shouldn't
be any need for your patch.

After investigation, the postinst properly loops on my

magical Gemfile is not passed the instance name, thus using "default" as
default instance name.

In my case I don't have a "default" instance (which is permitted via
debconf), but anyway each instance could have a different adapter so
this will fail in some non-exotic configurations. So it seems a
different Gemfile.lock should probably be generated for each instance,
with the X_DEBIAN_SITEID set by the postinst. Or maybe if there is no
possible conflict have the Gemfile loop on all database config files and
load all necessary adapters.

Bug#819685: [Pkg-iscsi-maintainers] Bug#819685: open-iscsi-udeb: please drop libnss-files-udeb dependency

2016-04-02 Thread Christian Seiler
Control: tags -1 + confirmed pending

Thanks for the notification about the glibc change!

Fixed in git:
https://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/pkg-iscsi/open-iscsi.git/commit/?id=2f35aeb0b6ab8da185450ddaad285051cc081176

Ritesh and I don't have any immediate plans for a next upload, so I
don't know when this will hit the archive, but there will definitely
be more updates before Stretch is released. If there are unforeseen
problems with the glibc change that would require an earlier upload
of the package with just the dropped dependency, please increase the
severity of this bug report to at least important and I'll upload
sooner.

Regards,
Christian

Some more ideas:

"tsfkax" for "The Screensaver Formerly Known As Xscreensaver"

"xxscreensaver" for "ex-xscreensaver".

Thanks.

rugged is the last thing that's blocking a gitlab update
https://gitlab.com/debian-ruby/TaskTracker/issues/92

Zigo, Boutil,

I have not heard from Russel for 2 weeks for now. Can we create a new
team and update it?

Bug#772576: taskcoach: Start failed

2016-04-02 Thread Nicolas Boulenguez
Package: taskcoach
Followup-For: Bug #772576

Hello.
The issue may be grave, but it should not block taskcoach forever if
noone is in a position to investigate it. Please consider:
- attaching the contents of "~/.config/Task Coach/TaskCoach.ini"
In case you have activated the synchronization with an iPhone, be
sure to remove your password from these contents.
- running
  "LANG=C python -mtrace —trace /usr/bin/taskcoach > /tmp/log.txt 2>&1"
inside a terminal, then attach the contents of "/tmp/log.txt".
Thanks.
