Bug#886900: RFP: python-epub -- Python2 Library to open and read files in the epub version 2

2018-01-10 Thread Виталий
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

Library to open and read files in the epub version 2

It only needs to be packaged according to Debian Python guidelines.

Required for: recoll

Bug#886899: recoll: epub-filter broken, requires 'python-epub' which is not packaged

2018-01-10 Thread Виталий
Package: recoll
Version: 1.22.4-1
Severity: normal

On indexing, when .epub files are met, the mime mapping redirects
execution to the epub filter, which requires the 'epub' library.

The 'epub' library, which would be packaged as 'python-epub' does not
exist at the current time. So every epub file is skipped and not
indexed like they should be.

Solution would be using an alternative library, meaning a significant
rewrite, or packaging the required library.

jrand_seed is declared thread-local in the source. If you make it non-TLS,

So, does this mean that ImageMagick corrupts thread-local storage in some
way?

Bug#622591: I also confirm this bug

2011-08-09 Thread Виталий Филиппов
I also confirm this bug. In my case, however, a separate perl module
(T.pm) with a function must be used to reproduce the bug. Just calling
Search::Xapian::WritableDatabase->new() from the test script doesn't work.
This is probably an ImageMagick bug, just because it doesn't happen with
6.7.1 built from the source. (the bug happens on ImageMagick 6.6.9-7-5)

So please, just update ImageMagick package to 6.7.1.

t.pl:

require Image::Magick;
require T;
T::test();

T.pm:

package T;
use Search::Xapian qw(:db);
sub test {
my $xap = Search::Xapian::WritableDatabase->new('./xapian', DB_CREATE);
print "OK\n";
}
1;

Bug#613403: reopened: hg clone fails with https site behind an http proxy

2011-03-01 Thread Виталий Филиппов

What environment variables are you using? To what are you setting them?
Are you using any extensions? hgsubversion is known to ignore
http_proxy, for example.

No, I'm not using any extensions, I simply clone a googlecode HG
repository.

This is very strange, I also could not reproduce this bug on other machine
that has direct Internet access. This runs OK:

iptables -A OUTPUT -p tcp --dport 443 -j DROP
http_proxy=http://95.31.10.190:3128 https_proxy=http://95.31.10.190:3128
strace hg clone https://mediawiki4intranet.googlecode.com/hg/
mediawiki4intranet

But when I'm trying this at work (proxy.custis.ru:3128 is an intranet
proxy, port 443 is closed on the router), it fails and strace looks very
strange - it seems hg connects to the proxy and starts tunnel connection,
but then also tries to connect directly (see attached strace.gz).
This command fails:
http_proxy=http://proxy.custis.ru:3128/
https_proxy=http://proxy.custis.ru:3128/ hg clone
https://mediawiki4intranet.googlecode.com/hg/ mediawiki4intranet

Bug#613403: reopened: hg clone fails with https site behind an http proxy

Mercurial fails to clone from https site being behind an http proxy.
Environment variables are set correctly. Mercurial first connects to
proxy, but then also tries to open direct connection and fails.

So this is probably a reopened Bug 498711. Reproduces in mercurial 1.6 and
1.7.

How to reproduce: simply set up an http CONNECT proxy and try to clone
some code.google.com repository from behing it.

Bug#563602: I had a similar issue

2010-01-12 Thread Виталий Филиппов

Hi!

I was running MySQL InnoDB databases on mdadm RAID5 partition with XFS
file system when I discovered that if /etc/cron.d/mdadm (checkarray) of
this partition concurs with some database updates, database file is
corrupted and needs some kind of recovery, which is not always simple.

This bug does reproduce on my server with, for example, on FeedOnFeeds
database (server-side rss aggregator) when it's cronjob is updating rss
feeds.

RAID array, though, does not degrade, and it seems that MyISAM
(non-transactional) tables are OK even when checkarray concurs with
database updates. So I suppose the data loss is caused by some
sync/barrier issues... Is that so? And if so, what I'm supposed to do to
get rid of this problem?

Bug#535479: php-openid: .*? in _tag_expr in Parse.php causes openid.server 's not parsed on some pages

2009-07-02 Thread Виталий Филиппов

Package: php-openid
Version: 2.1.3-1

*** Please type your report below this line ***
In Auth/OpenID/Parse.php, $_tag_expr regexp is
"<%s\b(?!:)([^>]*?)(?:\/>|>(.*?)(?:<\/?%s\s*>|\Z))". And libpcre3's
implementation of .*? is probably recursive. So, on big HTML pages with
, like http://stas-fomin.blogspot.com/,
... tag is not matched due to a stack overflow during
matching of .*? (matching stops after approximately 99264 bytes). So,
Auth_OpenID does not work with these pages.

A workaround is very simple: change .*? to .*
A patch is attached.

mod-perl 2.0.4-5 does not; indeed, Etch has 2.0.2-2.4 so you couldn't use

Sorry for probably messy English.

Bug#511661: ferm: module recent 'remove' not supported

2009-01-13 Thread Виталий
Package: ferm
Version: 2.0.4-1
Severity: normal
# Tags: patch

Match "recent" not fully supported. Almost all abilities this module grants can
be used in ferm (set, update, rcheck and others), but "remove" not realized
(must be someone just forgot this).

So error occurs when you try to parse rules containing "remove":
---
Error in /etc/ferm/ferm.conf line 46:
table filter
{
chain INPUT
{
mod recent name "rule" remove <--
Unrecognized keyword: remove
---

Here you can see patch for ferm to fix this problem, which just adds remove to
match_def of 'recent'

-
272c272
< add_match_def 'recent', qw(name=s !set*0 !rcheck*0 !update*0 !seconds
!hitcount rttl*0 rsource*0 rdest*0);
---
> add_match_def 'recent', qw(name=s !set*0 !remove*0 !rcheck*0 !update*0
> !seconds !hitcount rttl*0 rsource*0 rdest*0);
-

I hope this patch will be applied to future releases of ferm

Best regards, Shuvaev Vitaliy

   Comment #11 from Sergey V. Udaltsov (points: 13)
   2006-11-03 22:47 UTC [reply]
   I have committed it in libxklaiver 2.x branch. Not sure it will be officially
  released though (since 2.x is a prehistory from GNOME 2.17 POV).

Bug#386826:

2006-11-03 Thread Виталий Ищенко
Hello Ricardo!

Sorry not responding for so long
I haven't received any mail from debian BTS (maybe I should check my
spam folder)

I don't know whether I have apps dh_iconcache
But from time to time I generate icon cache with gtk-update-icon-cache
And now it's all ok with GPM

Thanks

Bug#348518: Week starts from Sunday in ru_RU locale

2006-01-17 Thread Виталий Ищенко
Package: locales
Version: 2.3.5-12

in ru_RU locale week starts from Sunday, when it must start from Monday

locale -c -k LC_TIME

abday="Вск;Пнд;Втр;Срд;Чтв;Птн;Сбт" ("Sun;Mon;;Sat")
day="Воскресенье;Понедельник;Вторник;Среда;Четверг;Пятница;Суббота"
abmon="Янв;Фев;Мар;Апр;Май;Июн;Июл;Авг;Сен;Окт;Ноя;Дек"
mon="Январь;Февраль;Март;Апрель;Май;Июнь;Июль;Август;Сентябрь;Октябрь;Ноябрь;Декабрь"
..
week-ndays=7
week-1stday=19971130
week-1stweek=0
first_weekday=1
first_workday=1
cal_direction=1
-
week-1stday says to be Sunday, but should be Monday
abday="Sun;Mon;Tue;Wed;Thu;Fri;Sat" (Translated from russian)

first_weekday=1 -- is it monday (in glibc 2.3.5 as i know monday is
first) or it is Sunday according to week-1stday variable?
