Dear Emmanuel, Tomcat 8.5.31 was released a few weeks ago. Have you had time to 
look at this since then? It seems there are quite a few people watching this

I can definitely wait (our application won’t even run on Java >= 8 yet). I just

Ubuntu imported tomcat8/8.5.31 just before the 18.04 release and Tomcat will 
not run with OpenJDK 8 there either. Will you be waiting for a new Tomcat 
release before re-compiling tomcat8 to work with OpenJDK 8, or can we schedule 
something sooner?
