Bug#1022269: cataclysm-dda-data: Missing link to unifont font file
Package: cataclysm-dda-data Version: 0.F-3-5 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, cataclysm-dda-data contains softlink to unifont.ttf However in newer package of fonts-unifont this file just doesn't exist. As a result it doesn't start with the error: Error while initializing the interface: Cannot load font unifont Changing the softlink to unifont-sample.ttf fixes the problem. I tried unifont.otf, but it seems unifont.ttf is hardcoded in the sources. -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.19.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=be_BY.utf8, LC_CTYPE=be_BY.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages cataclysm-dda-data depends on: ii fonts-terminus 1.2.0+ds-7 ii fonts-unifont 1:15.0.01-2 cataclysm-dda-data recommends no packages. cataclysm-dda-data suggests no packages. -- no debconf information

Bug#416503: behaves strange in vservers
I can't reporoduce this bug neither on amd64, nor on i386 with evdev version 1:1.1.2-6, xorg version 2:1.1.1-21 (versions etch released with). Problem disappeared after reboot; I rebooted computer a few days after bugreport. I can't recall, maybe I updated evdev before this. Anyway, I can't reproduce this bug for a month. Hello, Sorry, nothing new. I can't reproduce this bug at all. Anyway, I'm using input-evdev on one computer, so if bug will appear once again I'll inform you. Bug#415430: Can't build module for amd64 flavour on i386
Hello, No. i386 arch has only one nvidia-kernel-source package, and seems it isn't correct one for 64-bit kernel. How can I install amd64 version of nvidia-kernel-source without black magic like wget && dpkg --force-arch? If you think separate 64-bit version of nvidia-kernel-source should be packaged on i386, please do so. Bug#416503: behaves strange in vservers
Package: xserver-xorg-input-evdev Version: 1:1.1.2-6 Hi. I'm using vserver-enabled kernel on amd64 arch on my desktop and after switching to evdev from kbd+mouse I found strange behavior in vservers (after `vserver blahblah enter'): when I press enter it behaves like enter was pressed many times (~ 50), so working in vservers almost impossible. I tried different terminals (xterm, rxvt, gnome-terminal) with same result, but this bug doesn't exists in console (real console, tty*). Bug#409033: Gdm can't start at boot with nvidia card
Package: gdm Version: 2.16.4-1 Hello. On two computers with NVidia cards I have a strange behavior of gdm: it can't start on graphical greeter mode on boot. Bug#390131: Strange locale-related problem with new FreeTDS
Package: libct3 Version: 0.63-3 Hello. After upgrading freetds (libct3) to version 0.63-3 I faced one strange but very serious problem. All perl scripts using libdbd-sybase-perl now producing a warning about encoding (like this): Sybase.DatabaseError: Msg 2409, Level 11, State 2, Line 2 Cannot find the requested character set in Syscharsets: name = 'ANSI_X3.4-1968'. Msg 2411, Level 10, State 1, Line 2 No conversions will be done. (ISO-8859-1 instead of ANSI_X3.4-1968 if script has been launched in en_US locale instead of C/POSIX). (unofficial) python-sybase produces the same error and dying. Seems Sybase ASE has "iso_1" as data encoding; adding "client charset = iso_1" in /etc/freetds/freetds.conf or /etc/freetds/locales.conf desn't help. -- Alexander Vlasov ZULU-UANIC JID: zulu jabber.kiev.ua -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#370671: keyboard layout applet crashes X
Package: gnome-applets Version: 2.12.3-1 Severity: grave Both of my etch machines running X has the same problem: attemplt to add keyboard layout switcher applet to palen leads to crash of X-server and gdm restart (like Ctrl-alt-backspace does). Moreover, starting a new session is impossible: after logging in gnome starts to load components and after panel appears X are crashing once again. The only solution is to manually remove keyboard layout applet from ~/.gconf/.../*.xml by hands. Both machines has almost the same hardware (Athlon-64 3000+ processors, i386 arch, onboard video (VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation C51G [GeForce 6100]) and non-free nvidia driver. -- Alexander Vlasov ZULU-UANIC JID: zulu jabber.kiev.ua -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#370509: please correct removal script
Package: ipmitool Version: 1.8.7-2 ipmitools pre-removal script tries to stop ipmievd and fails if stopping fails; But in fact not every computer having ipmitools installed runs ipmievd (for example I need only ipmitool to control remote computers). Bug#370511: please make ipmievd starting optional
Package: ipmitool Version: 1.8.7-2 ipmitool package installs both ipmitool and ipmievd, but not every computer having ipmitools installed runs ipmievd (for example I need only ipmitool to control remote computers). Bug#369784: ide-disk module not insmod'ed
Package: linux-image-2.6.15-1-686 Version: 2.6.15-8 Recently I upgraded four of my machines to etch; three of them are ok, but one doesn't boot with new kernel 2.6.15. Boot process stops at "waiting for root filesystem", long pause and "no /dev/hda1" message; after this, I receive a busybox shell. in busybox, one can see /dev handled by udev and, really, no /dev/hd* at all. insmod /lib/modules/.../ide-disk.ko fixes the situation: /dev/hd* appearing and one can press ctrl-D to continue booting. rebuilding initrd with ide-disk added to /etc/mkinitramfs/modules also fixes the situation; booting wents ok (except long pause while "waiting for root filesystem"). This problem exists with 2.6.15 only (both image from etch and backports.org image for sarge), bot not with any other kernel (2.6.8-* from sarge, 2.6.16 from backports.org) Here follows lspci: :00:00.0 Host bridge: Intel Corp. 440BX/ZX/DX - 82443BX/ZX/DX Host bridge (rev 03) :00:01.0 PCI bridge: Intel Corp. 440BX/ZX/DX - 82443BX/ZX/DX AGP bridge (rev 03) :00:07.0 ISA bridge: Intel Corp. 82371AB/EB/MB PIIX4 ISA (rev 02) :00:07.1 IDE interface: Intel Corp. 82371AB/EB/MB PIIX4 IDE (rev 01) :00:07.2 USB Controller: Intel Corp. 82371AB/EB/MB PIIX4 USB (rev 01) :00:07.3 Bridge: Intel Corp. 82371AB/EB/MB PIIX4 ACPI (rev 02) :00:0f.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corp. 82557/8/9 [Ethernet Pro 100] (rev 10) :01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: ATI Technologies Inc 3D Rage IIC AGP (rev 7a) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#354852: powersaved: p4-clockmod should be included in list
yeah, I know this. But for people using modules mentioned in init-script everything is work out-of-the-box without even configuring this variable, so I see no reason not to put this module in a list. Or it will break something? Bug#354852: powersaved: p4-clockmod should be included in list
Package: powersaved Version: 0.11.10-1 Severity: normal powersaved init script, lines 84-85, contains a list of CPUFREQ modules to probe. This list is missing at least one module, p4-clockmod, which one I use on my laptop (Compaq Presario 2209CL). speedstep-centrino does not works for me. So current init script prints error message about not available device during modprobe speedstep_centrino. Solution is quite simple -- just modify init script and add a p4-clockmod module in list: --[snip]-- CPUFREQ_MODULES="p4_clockmod speedstep_centrino speedstep_ich powernow_k8 powernow_k7 powernow_k6 longrun longhaul acpi" CPUFREQ_MODULES_GREP="^p4_clockmod\|^speedstep_centrino\|^speedstep_ich\|^powernow_k8\|^powernow_k7\|^powernow_k6\|^longrun\|^longhaul\|^acpi" --[/snip]-- -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-686 Locale: LANG=ru_UA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=ru_UA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages powersaved depends on: ii dbus 0.60-6 simple interprocess messaging syst ii hal 0.5.6-4Hardware Abstraction Layer ii libc6 2.3.5-13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libcpufreq0 0.4-1+b2 shared library to deal with the cp ii libdbus-1-2 0.60-6 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.60-6 simple interprocess messaging syst ii libgcc1 1:4.0.2-9 GCC support library ii libglib2.0-0 2.8.6-1The GLib library of C routines ii libhal1 0.5.6-4Hardware Abstraction Layer - share ii libpowersave100.11.10-1 power management daemon - shared l ii libstdc++64.0.2-9The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 ii libsysfs1 1.3.0-7interface library to sysfs ii lsb-base 3.0-15 Linux Standard Base 3.0 init scrip Versions of packages powersaved recommends: ii acpid 1.0.4-5Utilities for using ACPI power man pn kpowersave (no description available) -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to with a subject of "unsubscribe".
