Bug#618568: bold font too wide in konsole

2012-10-11 Thread Benjamin Danon

Hi,

I solved my problem by using the TTF file of the Inconsolata font found
on Google web fonts http://www.google.com/webfonts/specimen/Inconsolata
The archive provide the files Inconsolata-Regular.ttf and
Inconsolata-Bold.ttf that fix my problem.

Cheers

Bug#643804: listen: fails to start

2012-05-04 Thread Benjamin Danon

Hi,

Found a workaround here : http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=53637
Create the file
/usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.freedesktop.Notifications.service

with the following content :
[D-BUS Service]
Name=org.freedesktop.Notifications
Exec=/bin/sh -c 'if [ ! -x
/usr/lib/notification-daemon-1.0/notification-daemon ] || [
"$GDMSESSION" = guest-restricted ] || [ "$GDMSESSION" =
gnome-classic-guest-restricted ] [ "$GDMSESSION" = default -a
"$(basename `readlink /etc/alternatives/x-session-manager`)" =
gnome-session ] || [ "$GDMSESSION" = ubuntu ] || [ "$GDMSESSION" =
ubuntu-2d ]; then exec /usr/lib/notify-osd/notify-osd; else exec
/usr/lib/notification-daemon-1.0/notification-daemon; fi'

It works for me.

I think it happens when the system communicates with others systems trhought
IPv6.
I don’t know what other information to provide.

Best regards.

Bug#618568: [ttf-inconsolata] bold font too wide in konsole

2011-09-19 Thread Benjamin Danon

Hi,

I tried Inconsolata and ConsolaMono fonts and I have the same problem
(see the attachment). Did you find a fix for that ?

I found the following link that's suggest to modify the .fonts.conf file
but it don't works for me. It's possible that GNOME overwrite this
configuration with gconf params, and I don't know if the auto-hinter is
activated by default.

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Font_Configuration#Disable_auto-hinter_for_bold_fonts

Thank you.
