Bug#605775: arista: Arista need gstreamer-codec-install

2010-12-03 Thread Benjamin Renard
Package: arista
Version: 0.9.5-1
Severity: normal

Arista need gstreamer-codec-install (/usr/bin/gstreamer-codec-install) to
install
missing codecs. Gstreamer-codec-install could be provided for instant by the
package gnome-codec-install. If this program is not provided, it's not possible
to
add file in queue and an error is display :

Cannot add item to queue because of missing elements!

In terminal, an other error is display :

arista.presets [369]: INFO Attempting to install elements: x264enc
arista.presets [385]: ERROR Installing elements not supported!

Thank you,

Hello,

In /etc/nagvis/apache.conf file provide by package, the FollowSymLinks option
in DirectoryMath section is not correctly considered because this option is
considered only in Directory section (according with http://httpd.apache.org/
docs/current/mod/core.html#Options).
Consequently, it's not possible to access in nagvis's var directory witch
contains among other automap images. The FollowSymLinks option must be
defined in general context to avoid it or add :

Bug#669102: ITP: sanlock -- a shared storage lock manager - useful for accessing vm, images on a NAS or SAN

2012-04-24 Thread Benjamin Renard

Hello,

Debian support for Libvirt sanlock very insteresting me. I build a
sanlock and libvirt-sanlock Debian package from your proposal and I note
some problems :

* I had a bug about undefined constant SCHED_RESET_ON_FORK building
sanlock package. I had to apply this patch :
https://build.opensuse.org/package/view_file?file=sanlock-SCHED_RESET_ON_FORK-undefined.patch&package=sanlock&project=Virtualization&rev=4bf0126638bb7c9e02f055b4aa92e543

* In sanlock and wdmd init scripts, I put value of variable DESC in
quote to avoid this error during package installation :

  Setting up sanlock (2.1-1) ...
  /etc/init.d/sanlock: 17: lock-manager: not found

* I had augeas-tools dependency to libvirt-bin package because augtool
command is required by virt-sanlock-cleanup script.

Notes :

 * The Libvirt documentation recommends to weekly run
virt-sanlock-cleanup script (see
http://libvirt.org/locking.html#sanlockstorage). The corresponding cron
could be provide by the Debian package.

 * I think virt-sanlock-cleanup script should logically provide by
libvirt-sanlock debian package.

Thank's for your work.

Bug#989141: /usr/share/php/smarty3/sysplugins/smarty_security.php: Smarty Security: not trusted file path

2021-05-26 Thread Benjamin Renard

Package: smarty3
Version: 3.1.31+20161214.1.c7d42e4+selfpack1-2+deb9u3
File: /usr/share/php/smarty3/sysplugins/smarty_security.php
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

In the last update on Stretch
(3.1.31+20161214.1.c7d42e4+selfpack1-2+deb9u3), it seem to have
a confusion between $this->ds variable and DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR constant.
The $this->ds is not defined and I couldn't found a reference to this
variable elsewhere than in this version. In upstream release of Smarty,
the DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR constant seem to be used instead and if I
replace $this->ds occurrences by this constant (in
isTrustedResourceDir() and _checkDir() methods), it solve the bug.

Also, this package has no reverse dependencies. Given the amount of care
it brought in the last few years, I believe it should be removed from

maybe it should also be removed from (at least) Bookworm.
