Bug#679478: spamassassin: sa-compile errors out on package upgrade and when run from command line

2012-06-28 Thread Brielle Bruns
Package: spamassassin
Version: 3.3.2-3
Severity: normal

Hello,

On trying to update to spamassassin in Wheezy, the install fails with the
following error:

/usr/bin/perl Makefile.PL PREFIX=/tmp/.spamassassin11676WPPkJFtmp/ignored
INSTALLSITEARCH=/var/lib/spamassassin/compiled/5.014/3.003002
Only one of PREFIX or INSTALL_BASE can be given. Not both.
command failed: exit 255

In line 285/286 of /usr/bin/sa-compile:
run(get_perl()." Makefile.PL ".
  "PREFIX=$dirpath/ignored INSTALLSITEARCH=$installdir $log");

The PREFIX var is what is causing this error. It can be removed
and the command completes, however things do not go in the right
directories.

Bug#644345: dnsmasq: Not starting due to 'failed to create listening socket' for ipv6 link-local address

Can I ask you to recheck this? I suspect that the change which
precipitated the problem is actually a kernel upgrade which probably
happened around the same time. If that's the case, I understand the
problem, but if the latest kernel does indeed work with 2.57-1, then
there's something else happening.

Cheers,

Simon.

Hi Simon!

Thanks for contacting me.

I'm using 2.57-1 on linux-image-3.1.0-rc4-amd64 at the moment.

Do you want me to try this on linux-image-3.1.0-rc7-amd64?

I have confirmed it does suffer from the same issues on
linux-image-3.0.0-1-amd64 and linux-image-2.6.32-5-amd64 previously.

Bug#644345: dnsmasq: Not starting due to 'failed to create listening socket' for ipv6 link-local address

2011-10-04 Thread Brielle Bruns

Package: dnsmasq
Version: 2.58-2
Severity: important
Tags: ipv6

When starting dnsmasq on a testing system with ipv6 support, the following
error causes dnsmasq to be unable to start:

dnsmasq: failed to create listening socket for fe80::204:::XXX:
No such device or address

This bug also happens in -1 and -2 as well. dnsmasq is trying to bind
to the link local address due to the:

interface=eth1

in /etc/dnsmasq.conf. When the interface option is removed, the error
no longer happens. dnsmasq works properly in 2.57-1 on the same system,
so this is probably either an upstream bug, or one introduced in a debian
specific patch.
