Can I ask you to recheck this? I suspect that the change which precipitated the problem is actually a kernel upgrade which probably happened around the same time. I'm using 2.57-1 on linux-image-3.1.0-rc4-amd64 at the moment. Do you want me to try this on linux-image-3.1.0-rc7-amd64? Package: dnsmasq Version: 2.58-2 Severity: important Tags: ipv6 When starting dnsmasq on a testing system with ipv6 support, the following error causes dnsmasq to be unable to start: dnsmasq: failed to create listening socket for fe80::204:::XXX: No such device or address This bug also happens in -1 and -2 as well. dnsmasq is trying to bind to the link local address due to the: interface=eth1 in /etc/dnsmasq.conf.
