Bug#1037537: Upgrade To Bookworm Fails with Roundcube Update
Thanks for the reply, Guilhem. After restoring my VM back to Debian 11.7, I then tried upgrading Roundcube, first: # sed -i s/bullseye/bookworm/ /etc/apt/sources.list # apt-get install roundcube-core This worked. I then was able to do the full upgrade to bookworm. While I'm not sure why this worked, I'm happy to get the upgrade completed. Thanks, Bryan

Previous Roundcube version: 1.4.13+dfsg.1-1~deb11u1 Previous Debian version: 11.7 I've attached the Roundcube configuration file, as requested. Please note, for privacy reasons, I have replaced the real des_key value with a series of "#" symbols. The same applies to the host value in the default_host setting. Thanks! Bryan Walton
Bug#1037537: Upgrade To Bookworm Fails with Roundcube Update
Package: roundcube-core Version: 1.6.1+dfsg-1 Today, I tried to upgrade my webserver to Debian 12.0 (bookworm). Everything succeeded but Roundcube. Bug#864884: Firefox-esr 52.2 fails to start
Package: firefox-esr Version: 52.2.0esr-1~deb8u1 After upgrading my stable Debian install to firefox 52.2.0esr-1~deb8u1, firefox will no longer start up for me. It repeatedly crashes. I can't start it in safe-mode. And even telling it to start with ProfileManager doesn't work. The problem doesn't appear to be profile related. When I start it from the command line, I get the following output before receiving the error popup: $ firefox (firefox-esr:5793): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: g_object_ref: assertion 'object->ref_count > 0' failed ExceptionHandler::GenerateDump cloned child 5815 ExceptionHandler::SendContinueSignalToChild sent continue signal to child ExceptionHandler::WaitForContinueSignal waiting for continue signal... The popup I receive every time is the firefox error box. It reads: "We're Sorry. Firefox had a problem and crashed. We'll try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts. To help us diagnose and fix the problem, you can send us a crash report. . ." If I tell it to restart firefox, I get the same result, every time. Downgrading to firefox 45.9.0esr-1~deb8u1 returns Firefox to a working install. Re-upgrading to the latest version again produces the problem.

Bug#784650: rsnapreport.pl not working correctly in jessie
Thanks for the patch. Indeed, that did fix the "FILES TRANS" column. However, the "TOTAL MB" and "MB TRANS" columns still report 0.00, even with the correct information now in the FILES TRANS column. Bug#784650: rsnapreport.pl not working correctly in jessie
Package: rsnapshot Version: 1.3.1-4 I've been using the rsnapreport.pl script for the last few years. This script can be found in /usr/share/doc/rsnapshot/examples/utils. It was working well in Wheezy. However, after the upgrade to Jessie this week, this script is no longer working properly. I make use of this script by calling rsnapshot in my cron job like this: rsnapshot daily 2>&1|tee -a /var/log/rsnapshot/rsnapshot.log|/usr/local/bin/rsnapreport.pl|mail -s "Rsnapshot Daily Backup Report" However, after upgrading to Jessie, the script has the following error when being run: "Use of uninitialized value $filest in formline at /usr/local/bin/rsnapreport.pl line 53." Therefore, the output of the script is not correct. The "FILES TRANS" column is now empty. And the "TOTAL MB" and "MB TRANS" columns report 0.00 (even thought rsnapshot.log shows much data being successfully backed up. My system is running a vanilla kernel: 3.14.24 My glibc is: Version: 2.19-18 My perl is: Version: 5.20.2-3 If I can provide any more information, or help in any way, please let me know. Bug#598361: slapd: slapcat gives "unclean shutdown detected; attempting recovery" after squeeze upgrade
Package: slapd Version: 2.4.23-6 Severity: normal I've recently upgraded slapd from Lenny to Squeeze. Nightly, I run a slapcat to dump to directory to an LDIF file for backup. Since the upgrade, I now get the following error: bdb_db_open: database "dc=i-clic,dc=uihc,dc=uiowa,dc=edu": unclean shutdown detected; attempting recovery. bdb_db_open: database "dc=i-clic,dc=uihc,dc=uiowa,dc=edu": recovery skipped in read-only mode. Run manual recovery if errors are encountered. I get this error every time. I also get this error when I run slaptest. After doing some research online, I have installed db4.8-util and have run: db4.8-recover db4.8-checkpoint -1 These commands seem to run fine. I have verified that my slapd instance is using 4.8 (4.8.30). However, I can immediately run the slapcat or slaptest after running the above commands and the same error repeats itself. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32.22 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages slapd depends on: ii adduser 3.112 add and remove users and groups ii coreutils 8.5-1 GNU core utilities ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.35 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.11.2-6 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libdb4.8 4.8.30-2 Berkeley v4.8 Database Libraries [ ii libgnutls26 2.8.6-1the GNU TLS library - runtime libr ii libldap-2.4-2 2.4.23-6 OpenLDAP libraries ii libltdl7 2.2.6b-2 A system independent dlopen wrappe ii libperl5.10 5.10.1-14 shared Perl library ii libsasl2-22.1.23.dfsg1-6 Cyrus SASL - authentication abstra ii libslp1 1.2.1-7.8 OpenSLP libraries ii libwrap0 7.6.q-19 Wietse Venema's TCP wrappers libra ii lsb-base 3.2-23.1 Linux Standard Base 3.2 init scrip ii perl [libmime-base64-perl 5.10.1-14 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii psmisc22.11-1utilities that use the proc file s ii unixodbc 2.2.14p2-1 ODBC tools libraries Versions of packages slapd recommends: ii libsasl2-modules 2.1.23.dfsg1-6 Cyrus SASL - pluggable authenticat Versions of packages slapd suggests: ii ldap-utils2.4.23-6 OpenLDAP utilities -- Configuration Files: /etc/default/slapd changed: SLAPD_CONF="/etc/ldap/slapd.conf" SLAPD_USER="openldap" SLAPD_GROUP="openldap" SLAPD_PIDFILE= SLAPD_SERVICES="ldap:/// ldaps:/// ldapi:///" SLAPD_SENTINEL_FILE=/etc/ldap/noslapd SLAPD_OPTIONS="" -- debconf information: slapd/tlsciphersuite: slapd/password_mismatch: slapd/invalid_config: true shared/organization: i-clic.uihc.uiowa.edu slapd/upgrade_slapcat_failure: slapd/slurpd_obsolete: slapd/backend: HDB slapd/dump_database: when needed slapd/allow_ldap_v2: false slapd/no_configuration: false slapd/move_old_database: true slapd/suffix_change: false slapd/dump_database_destdir: /var/backups/slapd-VERSION slapd/purge_database: false slapd/domain: i-clic.uihc.uiowa.edu -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
