2023-12-20 Thread clay stan
The upstream control file has been changed to support the construction of
other architectures.
https://github.com/linuxdeepin/deepin-boot-maker/blob/master/debian/control

I will synchronize the upstream update in the next update.

Bug#1032892: policykit-1-gnome failing with a segfault on wayland sway

2023-03-13 Thread Clay Risser
Package: policykit-1-gnome
Version: 0.105-8
Severity: important
X-Debbugs-Cc: clayris...@gmail.com

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
- I tried to get root access on a program with polkit
(specifically the gnome-control-center needs me to unlock
  access with the polkit agent)
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?
- I tried installing another polkit agent (polkit-kde-agent-1)
   * What was the outcome of this action?
- It works fine, but the policykit-1-gnome still fails
   * What outcome did you expect instead?
- I was thinking maybe polkit isn't working on sway, but since
other agents work, it must be a problem with the

warpd has three main modes which can be used to manipulate the

The other two modes, hint and grid mode are used to effect larger
movements across the screen and are expected to be used in combination
with normal mode to achieve the desired end.

There will be many bugs running on wayland, so this is X program.

deepin-terminal is now developed based on qt, while the previous
version of deepin-terminal is based on vala. These two packages can be
considered as different software, but the upstream did not rename the
qt version of deepin-terminal, but instead renamed the previous
version of vala The version has been renamed, so the deepin-terminal
of the debian repository has been upgraded to the qt version, and the
vala version has been overwritten, so I reapplied for an ITP to
maintain the deepin-terminal based on vala version.

deepin-terminal is an advanced terminal emulator with window-splitting,
workspaces, remote management, Quake mode and other features.

It seems that there is something wrong with your package installation status.
Normally, the installation status is ii, and you are iU. Have you

Has rebuild and reupload to mentors.
After discussion, our team(pkg-deepin) decided to remove the symbols,
Because all deepin packages are maintained by our team (pkg-deepin),
So symbols of dtk(deepin toolkit) projects are meaningless.

Are there any problems with the current symbols?
Compared with the previous version - 5.4.1-1~exp1, I have updated the
symbols file
And Lintian did not report any problems with symbols when I compiled it.

2021-08-04 Thread clay stan

https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/debmake-doc/index.zh-cn.html

FHS: https://wiki.linuxfoundation.org/lsb/fhs
4. copyright
https://www.debian.org/doc/packaging-manuals/copyright-format/1.0/
https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-archive.html#s-subsections
7. debian rules

1. https://www.debian.org/doc/devel-manuals#debmake-doc
2. https://www.debian.org/doc/devel-manuals#policy

1. https://www.debian.org/doc/devel-manuals#devref

Previously, because there has a problem with the upstream manpage,
So I used help2man to regenerate a manpage then modify it,
so I claim copyright on it.

But now I have contacted the upstream to repaired his manpage and
remove my manpage.

And I rebuild the package with a new version and upload to mentors:

You can download the package with dget using this command:

  dget -x

Thanks again.

The original compilation parameters will also cause Lintian to report errors,
hardening no bind now, hardening no mandatory functions.
I'll try to solve them in debian/rules by
https://wiki.debian.org/Hardening, but it doesn't work

and the sane parts, you mean?

Upstream support arm means the mobile arm chips, like Snapdragon, MediaTek,
not arm PC, They are not supported by Debian.

As one who has made use of various incarnations of the 'arc' program
since the 1990s, and as one who has been thinking about adopting the
'arc' package in Debian, I note that the 'arc' package has been in
Debian since 2004 while 'arcanist' has only been in Debian since 2015.
Therefore 'arcanist' has likely been violating policy since it was
brought into Debian.
It's also interesting that the popcon for 'arc' (~1000) is some 10
times what 'arcanist' (~100) has, likely because 'arc' is an archiver.
I also find it interesting that bug number 919697 was opened on
'arcanist' as 'Serious' back in January about the same problem,
noting that "arcanist: file conflict with arc" but was then downgraded
to normal the maintainer. So that maintainer could have fixed the
problem at least when he uploaded a new version of the 'arcanist'
package in February, if he hadn't been aware of the problem until
then.

Bug#916862: ITP: libwebservice-hmrc-vat-perl -- Interact with the UK HMRC VAT API

2018-12-30 Thread Robert J. Clay
This bug is pending two issues:

1) The completion of the ITP for libsebservice-hmrc-perl, #916861,
which it depends on.
2) Resolution of the issue that the current version of upstream fails testing.
   (as also reported at

Bug#916861: ITP: libwebservice-hmrc-perl -- Interact with the UK HMRC Making Tax Digital API

2018-12-30 Thread Robert J. Clay
The packaging is in progress and does seem to build. However, there
are errors during the build as well as other issues with it.
Note also the TODO added to the debian/changelog:

  * d/copyright: missing year, and (maybe) copyright holder ->
Copyright: 2018 Nick Prater, NP Broadcast Limited
  * d/control: perl (>= 5.19.5) is what dh-make-perl makes from
List::Util: '1.33'  until recently that should be "perl (>= 5.19.5) |
libscalar-list-utils-perl (>= 1:1.33)", since we have versioned
provides "libscalar-list-utils-perl (>= 1:1.33)"  is enough
  * d/control: short description should be a noun phrase
  * tests throw warnings and worse: they try to connect to the
internet which is a policy violation

An issue was opened with upstream inquiring about the errors that come
up during a package build, which also occur during a simple 'perl
Makefile.PL && make test' of the module:
https://github.com/nick-prater/WebService-HMRC/issues/2

The progress of the packaging itself can be tracked at its code repository at:
