While I don't see anything in /var/lib/dkms as incomplete, the time stamps
indicate that nothing was rebuilt upon the move from the
linux-image-2.6.32-trunk-686 2.6.32-3 => 2.6.32-4 transition on

that the package was most recently upgraded on Oct 25. And around that
time I started to notice.

*Scale* an image to 640x480 pixels.

*Reduce* the number of colors to 14 by selecting menu item
"Image->Mode->Indexed"

*Save* the resulting image as splash.ppm

Fails every time.

Bug#549537: gimp: Saving to .ppm fails. Plug-in Crash

2009-10-03 Thread Daryl Styrk
Package: gimp
Version: 2.6.7-1
Severity: important

Attempting to save an image to splash.ppm fails with the below errors.

Plug-in crashed: "file-pnm"
(/usr/lib/gimp/2.0/plug-ins/file-pnm)

The dying plug-in may have messed up GIMP's internal state. You may want
to save your images and restart GIMP to be on the safe side.

Saving '/home/daryl/Desktop/splash.ppm' failed:

Procedure 'file-ppm-save' returned no return value.

The following packages have unmet dependencies:

Shouldn't kbuild be included in backports along with the headers if the
headers are available there?

firmware-iwlwifi for wlan and I have no clue about eth0.

$ lspci |grep Net
00:19.0 Ethernet controller: Intel Corporation 82566MM Gigabit Network
Connection (rev 03)
03:00.0 Network controller: Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 AG or AGN
[Kedron] Network Connection (rev 61)

I looked at kern.log for Errors, Warning, WARNINGS, etc and didn't see
anything. There was a brief discussion debian-user today and another user
had no messages as well.
