Bug#454201: WNPP bug retitle

2008-08-16 Thread David Moreno Garza
retitle 454201 O: systeminstaller -- Creates Linux distribution images from a
set of packages

Hello,

This is an automatic mail sent to retitle the ITA you have reported or
are involved with.

Your ITA wnpp bug is being orphaned because of the following reasons:
- It is, as of today, older than 250 days.
- It hasn't had any activity recently.

As this is an automatic procedure, it could of course have something
wrong and probably it would be managing some bugs that are not
intended by owners and submitters (like you) to be orphaned, for
example if the ITA is still of your interest, or there has been
some kind of activity around it. In that case, please retitle the
bug, do it, DO IT NOW! (I don't want to be blamed because of
mass closing and not let people know that they can easily recover
their bugs ;-).

To retitle it, you simply have to mail <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
with a body text like this:

retitle 454201 ITA: systeminstaller -- Creates Linux distribution images from
a set of packages
 owner 454201 !
 stop

Further comments on the work done in the bug sent to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] would be truly welcomed.
Anyway, if you have any kind of problems when dealing with
the BTS, feel free to contact me and I'd be more than happy to help
you on this: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.

A similar process is being applied to other kind of wnpp bugs.

Thanks for your cooperation,

To retitle it, you simply have to mail <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
with a body text like this:

retitle 411685 ITA: pike7.7 -- Powerful interpreted programming language,

Further comments on the work done in the bug sent to

Bug#393175: WNPP bug retitle

2007-10-01 Thread David Moreno Garza
retitle 393175 O: lineak-defaultplugin -- LinEAK default plugin
noowner 393175

To retitle it, you simply have to mail <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
with a body text like this:

retitle 393175 ITA: lineak-defaultplugin -- LinEAK default plugin
 owner 393175 !

To retitle it, you simply have to mail <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
with a body text like this:

retitle 394841 ITA: kde-style-klearlook -- Clone of GNOME's Clearlooks theme

Further comments on the work done in the bug sent to
[EMAIL PROTECTED] would be truly welcomed.
Anyway, if you have any kind of problems when dealing with
the BTS, feel free to contact me and I'd be more than happy to help
you on this: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.

A similar process is being applied to other kind of wnpp bugs.

Hello. Thanks for your request.

Some of the listmaster do not agree with the rationale or the petition
in general. In order to provide a widely general language oriented
mailing list, there should be proof of other similar mailing lists
already created and used, such as -l10n-georgian or -user-georgian.

We don't create mailing list to mix these kinds of stuff. l10n is meant
to developers working on translating into that language. Is there any
effort for this that would require the creation of such list? Please
provide information about it and show peopl support on a request to that
specific mailing list.

If -user-georgian is desired, please provide proof that there is some
community of Debian users requiring support on their own language.

But mixing both scopes into -georgian is simply not likely to happen,
since it's a mixture of both users and developers (and there are mailing
lists for each category), so please provide a rationale based on this.
Georgian-speaking Debian users (or any other language anyway) will
usually have already a small community and a little mailing list
somewhere else that proves the need for a Debian specific official
mailing list, is there already any? Please provide rationale based on
that also.

Tagging the bug as wontfix by now.

Francesco, was last upload rejected?

The package is not anymore on the NEW queue nor on unstable and QA
doesn't list its entry.

Since Francesco is the one listed as maintainer he should have received
some warning if the upload was rejected or anything.

For the only sake of tracking the usual lists procedure, it would be
needed if third parties could comment on here.

Well, not exactly. I think we could rethink the concept of munging. For
example, it could be healthy to make all addresses shown on listarchives
to show as someuser at somedomain dot com, and that's it. We could
prevent some email addresses collecting, probably.

However, bugs.debian.org should be a different way to handle it, since
lists and bugs are different things so far.

Any listarchives expert around?

Bug#362165: Follow-up

2007-07-28 Thread David Moreno Garza
Hello,

I'd like to make a little follow up on this request[2]. For those who were
not aware of this bug, some Portuguese fellow contributors, are asking
to "fork" the debian-l10n-portuguese into something like
debian-l10n-european-portuguese. People interested should read [1].

Is there any further discussion about this? Any extra rationale? If most
of the people agrees, I think we could create the new mailing list
right away. The Portuguese people suggested to create a new mailing list
for themselves specially, since given the amount of work already done
and being done by Brazilians, it'd make easier for Portuguese to
migrate, than the opposite.

This discussion is more than one year old now and I want to know if
people is still interested or not.

Eu falo pouquinho do português, mas esta discussão deve manter-se
em inglês. ;-)

Obrigado,

I'm sorry for the stupidly long delay, I was busy :)

So, I've uploaded your package. If you want, it's OK for me that you
maintain the package. If you can't, I can make the uploads.

Nah, I don't think so anyway. Feel free to work together with Francesco
or just let him maintain the package by himself. I'm OK with any
situation.

I hope mine doesn't die soon, I really love her :(

Hey, as Martin already suggested, you could talk to Ming Hua
<[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, and if we agrees, we can add you to the moderators
list right away.

If you can read English and use email, you won't have problems any
problems moderating a list. Basically, moderators get a mail with the
pending message and detailed information on how to approve/reject them.
It is pretty easy and straightforward.

Cheers,

Bug#383022: WNPP bug retitle

2007-07-16 Thread David Moreno Garza
retitle 383022 O: php-xml-util -- a XML utility for php-pear
noowner 383022
stop

To retitle it, you simply have to mail <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
with a body text like this:

 retitle 383022 ITA: php-xml-util -- a XML utility for php-pear
 owner 383022 !

 -- David Moreno Garza <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>.
