Bug#522239: apt-cacher-ng: Gives an error with volatile.debian.org in sources.list

It looks however you wrote it. I've never edited the file.
I have a sources.list as set up by d-i, I installed apt-cacher-ng, I
added a 01proxy file to apt.conf.d/ and no other changes have been
made on this box.

Thanks,

What are your interfaces? Do you use AppleTalk or only afpovertcp?

Lowering severity, as I cannot reproduce and have heard no other

Bug#387646: postfix: Confusing default for the debconf question regarding synchronous updates

2006-09-15 Thread David Whitmarsh
Package: postfix
Version: 2.3.3-1
Severity: minor

The debconf question regarding synchronous updates includes the line:
The default is off.
however if you type 'off' into the prompt, it does not accept that. See below

If synchronous updates are forced, then mail is processed more slowly. If not
forced, then there is a remote chance of losing some mail if the system crashes
at an
inopportune time, and you are not using a journaled filesystem (such as ext3).

The default is off.

Force synchronous updates on mail queue? off

Bug#348547: man jack promises MP3's but get OGGs

Not true! One ends up with OGG files by default!

You're right, the man page should say that you'll get ogg files. For
a list of the encoders supported, that's also in the man page. It
says in the first paragraph:
Jack works with several encoders, namely oggenc, flac, lame, gogo,
bladeenc, l3enc, mp3enc and xing.
As far as I know, the only ones on that list included in debian are
flac and oggenc.
I am unaware of any way to make jack tell you which encoders it
thinks it can find the binaries for. The attached patch changes the
man page to reflect the fact that jack produces oggs by default.

Bug#345614: jack: fails when trying to not submit updated freedb data by hitting enter to accept the default (y/N)

2006-01-02 Thread David Whitmarsh
Package: jack
Version: 3.1.1-13
Severity: normal

Jack dies if you edit the freedb data, choose not to send the updated
data, and instead of entering a y or an n at the prompt you simply hit
enter to accept the default from y/N.

From a quick look, it seems your checking the first letter before you
check if there actually is a first letter.

Thanks

Subject: jack: Wants to delete my flac files instead of renaming them
Package: jack
Version: 3.1.1-7

Jack wants to delete my flac files instead of renaming them.

To reproduce:
  1) Rip a cd using 'jack -E flac -Q'
  2) Change into the directory the flac files are in
  3) Change the title of a track in jack.freedb using 'vim jack.freedb'
  4) Attempt to rename the files to reflect the change using 'jack -R'
