Sadly xdg-desktop-portal-xapp isn't available in Debian 12. https://packages.debian.org/search?suite=all§ion=all&arch=any&searchon=names&keywords=xdg-desktop-portal-xapp I looked at the package in testing but because the version of xapps- common in stable is too old it will be uninstallable. Kind regards, Derek. Resubmitting because for some reason this message wasn't sent to the bugs.debian.org.
Bug#1057321: gcolor3: cursor doesn't change to dropper and fails to get info of clicked colour
Package: gcolor3 Version: 2.4.0-2 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, I attempted to use gcolor3 as intended but when I clicked the dropper icon. The cursor didn't change to a dropper and when clicking a colour anywhere on screen the program doesn't get any info. When running the program from a terminal the following error is reported: Failed to pick color: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: No such interface “org.freedesktop.portal.Screenshot” on object at path /org/freedesktop/portal/desktop * What outcome did you expect instead? The hex values of the selected colour to appear in the gcolor3 window. The colour pickers in GIMP and Geany work as expected. I use XFCE4. Please ask for more information. Kind regards, Derek. -- System Information: Debian Release: 12.2 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.1.0-13-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages gcolor3 depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 2.46.0-5 ii libc6 2.36-9+deb12u3 ii libcairo2 1.16.0-7 ii libgdk-pixbuf-2.0-0 2.42.10+dfsg-1+b1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.74.6-2 ii libgtk-3-0 3.24.38-2~deb12u1 ii libportal-gtk3-1 0.6-4 ii libportal1 0.6-4 gcolor3 recommends no packages. gcolor3 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
Bug#1027056: xfce4-clipman: Forgets history after shutdown/reboot only if image was last item copied
Good morning, thanks for investigating this. Due to the lack of info on the net I suspected this would be the outcome. In Aug/Sep I changed my HDD to an SSD. I ran Debian Stable on both the old and new drives. I copied across the entirety of my home directory including the dotfiles so I can only assume I have some problem there. I have backups so I can experiment. Kind regards, Derek.
Bug#1027056: Can this be closed or deleted?
I tried several times sending this bug report with reportbug and gmail but had trouble. In the end I sent it with my email client and somewhere down the line I have mixed up the package names and have submitted it against the wrong package. I wish to re-submit this report properly (after another coffee!) Kind regards, Derek.
Bug#1027056: xfce4-clipman: Forgets history after shutdown/reboot only if image was last item copied
Package: xfce4-clipman-plugin Version: 2:1.6.1-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer, I'm reporting this bug against xfce4-clipman but for all I know it may be related to xfce4-clipman-plugin Debian Stable fully updated. Shutting down my PC while an image is the last item copied to the clipboard causes the clipboard history to be forgoten. If there is an image present in the clipboard history but isn't the last item copied then after booting the history is present and complete. I've been unable to find anything related to this issue and haven't been able to find or think of any potential fixes to this problem. After boot/reboot and if an image is the last item copied before shutdown: /home/***/.cache/xfce4/clipman/image0.png doesn't exist /home/***/.cache/xfce4/clipman/textsrc is empty After boot/reboot and if an image is NOT the last item copied before shutdown: /home/***/.cache/xfce4/clipman/image0.png exists and is the image I copied /home/***/.cache/xfce4/clipman/textsrc contains the clipboard history -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.6 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-20-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU threads) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages xfce4-clipman-plugin depends on: ii libc62.31-13+deb11u5 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.40.2-2 ii libglib2.0-0 2.66.8-1 ii libgtk-3-0 3.24.24-4+deb11u2 ii libqrencode4 4.1.1-1 ii libx11-6 2:1.7.2-1 ii libxfce4panel-2.0-4 4.16.2-1 ii libxfce4ui-2-0 4.16.0-1 ii libxfce4util74.16.0-1 ii libxfconf-0-34.16.0-2 ii libxtst6 2:1.2.3-1 ii xfce4-clipman2:1.6.1-1 xfce4-clipman-plugin recommends no packages. xfce4-clipman-plugin suggests no packages.
