Bug#328094: udev 0.100-2
Hi, As I can see, udev has a bad time loading properly the ipw2200 firmware. Note : the firmware_helper.sh has been renamed into firmware.agent if I'm right... With this version of udev (0.100-2), the firmware loading isn't working. finally, I came to think that the problem was that the kernel module was loaded (and the firmware searched) before udev read its config files. Btw, I had to add this action the file /etc/udev/udev.rules : SUBSYSTEM==firmware, ACTION==add, RUN+=firmware.agent (So, that wasn't added in the end or removed in between 0.68 - 0.100.) To make it work, I added a little script that did the following commands as a pre-up for the wifi interface in /etc/network/interfaces : pre-up rmmod ipw2200 pre-up modprobe ipw2200 post-down rmmod ipw2200 (That reloads udev and forces the ipw2200 module to look again for a firmware.) N.B. : The post-down command is avoid a bug with the ACPI at shutdown. Maybe some doc should be added to that, and that action should be readded in the udev.rules file. Anyway, I hope I helped correcting the problem. See ya. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Bug#356133: libguichan0-dev: Fixed dependency on xlibmesa-gl-dev
Hi, Sorry for having been late to answer your mail. I've searched the debian reference and I didn't find out how to put conditions in the Build-Depends: field of debian/control. Build-Depends: libgl1-mesa-dev | xlibmesa-gl-dev doesn't work, for instance. Did you suggest passing by the Depends: field ? As for now, if you have no other solutions to help me, I'll make it compile against libgl1-mesa-dev. Anyway, a great thanks for ringing my bell about that dep problem. Regards, Bertram Package: libguichan0-dev Severity: normal libguichan0-dev depends (and build-depends) on xlibmesa-gl-dev, but it can be built using libgl1-mesa-dev. Furthermore, xlibmesa-gl* will be dropped after the transition toward Xorg 7. I suggest to add the optional dependency on libgl1-mesa-dev, or better use libgl-dev. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-686 Locale: LANG=it_IT.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=it_IT.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe.
