Bug#970664: libvte-2.91-0: Terminal not displaying correctly

2020-09-20 Thread Fabian Inostroza
Package: libvte-2.91-0
Version: 0.62.0-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

After an upgrade of libvte gnome-terminal and other software using the library
(gedit terminal plugin) doesn't work.
Where the console should be there is some transparency and a effect similar to
when you record a screen that shows what
the camera sees (feedback).

Reverting to 0.60.3-1 of libvte and gnome-terminal 3.36.2-3 fixes the issue.

Regards.

I try Ctrl+Shift+H and the only change I see is a very thin dark line in the
place
where the histogram should be.

Bug#928371: evince: Doesn't restore previous position when opening pdf from New window

2019-05-02 Thread Fabian Inostroza
Package: evince
Version: 3.32.0-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Open some pdfs and move to any page different than the first.
Close evince.
Open any pdf then open a new evince window from the hamburger
menu and choose one of the previously opened pdfs.
They load at page 1, not at the previous page. If you open
them from the file manager then the previous position is correctly
loaded.

Bug#904560: gnome-shell wrong network menu

2018-07-24 Thread Fabian Inostroza
Package: gnome-shell
Version: 3.28.3-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Sometimes after boot the network manager menu in gnome shell displays wrong
information and/or missing icons, see the left half in the image linked below.
In the left half the menu shows the network as disconnected but the wired
network is active.

After disconnecting and reconnecting the menu shown is the one to the right on
the image. The option "Conectar" (Connect) suggest the network is not connected
but the top level entry says it is already connected ("conectada"), also
notice the missing capitalization.

Bug#884744: gpsd grabs cp2102 usb-serial converter

2017-12-18 Thread Fabian Inostroza
Package: gpsd
Version: 3.17-3
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I use a USB-Serial converter with a cp2102 chip (product id 0x10c4
and device id 0xea60), when I connect the adapter to the USB port
gpsd inmediately grabs the device, as per the udev rule in 60-gpsd.rules.

The pair of product/device id corresponds to a generic USB-Serial adapter,
it is not specific to a gps receiver, please disable this udev rule. The same
has been done for the FTDI adapters.

Bug#865478: geany: Slow navigation using keyboard or mouse in Gnome

2017-06-21 Thread Fabian Inostroza
Package: geany
Version: 1.29-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

While using Geany in Gnome I found that sometimes code navigations was slow,
changing to a new line o making selections were reflected after aprox 1 second
on the screen.

Just opening a file and navigating doesn't trigger this problem, after editing,
saving or selecting some text the issue shows up.

I have other setup of Stretch with MATE desktop and the problem isn't there.

I also compiled a clone of the geany github repo and I was able to reproduce the
problem (in Gnome).
