Bug#468325: ITP - Urban Terror -- Quake 3 based first person shooter
Moin Moing, the question of a GPL violation has been already discussed before in the Urban Terror forum: http://forums.urbanterror.net/index.php?topic=9651.0 Without achieving a consent of course. Bug#468325: ITP - Urban Terror -- Quake 3 based first person shooter
Moin Moing, I got the developer of ioUrbanTerror to answer on that comment http://ioquake3.org/2007/12/23/urban-terror-41/#comments (both Anonymous comments are from woekele), so it seems to be fine from that side. The circumvention of the GPL by the qvm plugin is something to debate but not from me. Ciao, Fabio -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Bug#468325: ITP - Urban Terror -- Quake 3 based first person shooter
Moin Moing, while Urban Terror does not rely on the Quake III Arena game data anymore, there is currently still a legal conflict between the (closed source!) Mod licence they use for iourbanterror, which is actually based on the GPL licenced ioquake3 engine, as written in the comments here: http://happypenguin.org/show?Urban%20Terrorshowall=1#comments no it isn't. the q3-sdk-license says, that modifications may only be used with the original quake 3 arena game. and ioquake3/iourbanterror clearly is not quake 3 arena. they do distribute their game as standalone with the ioq3-executable, so they have to put the game source under GPL as well. if they don't want that they have to stop calling it standalone and distributing the executable. - caedes Ciao, Fabio -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#346102: fillets-ng: does not start on etch powerpc
The bug might still hold true (segfault on etch) but I am not able to verify it, as I moved on to lenny. I tried to reproduce it but could not find a build of 0.7.3-1 for powerpc and building myself (same as I did before) now results in a compile error, Brulebois said there is a missing -l flag but I cba to fix it (read: no clue). I tried out the Debian packages fillets-ng 0.7.3-3 (the final version from etch) and 0.7.1-1 with fillets-ng-data 0.7.1-4 on my Mac mini with lenny updates from today and they worked fine, as does the current version 0.8.0-1, so I assume it was a problem with an other package that went away. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Bug#401983: mozilla fails to install
I am downgrading this bug, since I cannot reproduce it, and nobody else has reported it. Could you provide the requested information: apt-cache policy iceape apt-get install mozilla apt-get install seamonkey mozilla thanks, cu andreas It is quite easy. I am not sure why you could not reproduce it but in my case I have installed, or rather had to install iceape through apt-get'ing mozilla-browser 1.8+1.0.7-2 (which deinstalled mozilla) because the package mozilla of the same version refused to with the same description as Gullevek got. This is caused by mozilla 1.8+1.0.7-2 depending on iceape while iceape 1.0.7-2 collides with mozilla. iceape should instead only collide with mozilla 1.8. Of course, this should be best fixed in SeaMonkey 1.1 that has been released already. :-) -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble?
