Bug#945271: python-ipcalc: Oprhaning package

2019-11-22 Thread Florian Pelgrim
Package: python-ipcalc
Version: 1.99.0-3.1
Severity: important

Hi community,

I'm going to orphan this package.

TL;DR I'm fine to have this package removed from the debian project.
IMHO it's dead and will not come back to life.

sshfp is the only package having python-ipcalc as a dependency, but this
code has been touched last time 2015. So it is pure python2 and will
probably be also removed soon.

I don't recommend to use python-ipcalc for any projects. It is old and
having all the drawbacks you have when maintaining python2 and python3
support at the same time.
Also upstream is looking dead. There are open issues since years and
there was only one commit in the last two years.

Cheers
Florian

Bug#854180: systemd service script

2019-02-06 Thread Florian Pelgrim

Hi there,

I solved this problem today by moving away from starting the service
with init-v to systemd. In 2019 a good idea I think.

The service script is attached to this email.

@Harald, it would be awesome if you would prepare and push a new version
of the package including the systemd service script and the new version
of amavisd-milter.

This patch is needed anyway and doesn't depend on a new version of
amavisd-milter. So you don't have to wait for Petr accepting the patch
of Matus (btw, thx Matus! :) ) or not.

Flo

Bug#515298: allow preseeding of security directory

2016-12-11 Thread Florian Pelgrim
Hi,

I just tried to use `security_path` and was wondering why it doesn't
work like I wanted. ;)

Since #492937[1] is marked as done are there any plans to include this
patch into apt-setup? I would really like to see it because it would
save me some extra operations after installing my machines.

Cheers
Flo

Bug#774433: python-ipcalc: Please provide a new upstream version

2015-01-02 Thread Florian Pelgrim
Package: python-ipcalc
Version: 0.3-1
Severity: wishlist

Hey Ali,

could you please provide a new upstream version of python-ipcalc? The
current version is 1.1.3 and contains many improvements.
If this is not possible I can adopt the package. :)

Cheers,
Flo

Bug#706698: postfixadmin: Dovecot2 support as default

2013-05-03 Thread Florian Pelgrim
Package: postfixadmin
Version: 2.3.5-2
Severity: minor
Tags: patch

Hi Norman,

Whezzy comes with Dovecot 2.1.
So there is no binary named dovecotpw anymore. Everything has moved into
doveadm pw.
The var "dovecotpw" in config.inc.php should be per default
"/usr/bin/doveadm pw" instead of "/usr/sbin/dovecotpw".

If not users which are upgrading from Squeeze to Wheezy will not be able
to access postfixadmin anymore.

I try to include a patch file.
Has to figure out how that works.

Cheers,
Flo
