Bug#1076051: RFS: qutebrowser/3.1.0-1 -- Keyboard-driven, vim-like browser based on Python and Qt
Hi Soren, > The review branch is fine. I apologise for not noticing it before. No apologies needed, I could have mentioned it from the beginning. > 1. The package currently fails to build because it depends on python3- > distutils. Distutils has been deprecated upstream and is no longer part of > Python beginning with 3.12. It was recently removed from unstable. I will read into that. > 2. Because you have to touch the code anyway to fix 1, I would recommend you > update the standards version to 4.7.0. Yes thats a good Idea, I will do so > 3. I see that you are a Debian Maintainer and that you have been working on > this package with Abe Beckert for a number of years. It looks like it is in > very good shape. Would you be interested in being granted rights to upload > the qutebrowser package yourself? Yes that would be great! But I hope that there is a way to request review for cases where I'm not sure even if I'm allowed to upload myself. Fritz -- signature.asc Description: PGP signature

Hi Soren, please check the 'review' branch of the repository. The last Sponsor I was working with preferred to have the WIP changes there before the work is done. If you prefer the other way, let me know and I will do the needful. Thanks for your time and looking into it Fritz -- signature.asc Description: PGP signature

Hi Dimitry, thank you for the report. I just uploaded a 2.5.4-2 without the dependency as it is no longer needed as you already stated. Bug#973564: qutebrowser opens with only a blank black screen
Hi, Sorry for taking that long to respond. Does this issue still exist? If yes I would ask you to try to reproduce it with another Browser using qtwebengine for example Falkon and check if you see the same Problem. If yes there is a general problem with webengine that is most likely not related to qutebrowser. Thanks for yor report! Cheers Fritz -- Fritz Reichwald Linux Consultant Tel: +49 160 8452444 Mail: reichw...@b1-systems.de B1 Systems GmbH Osterfeldstraße 7 / 85088 Vohburg / http://www.b1-systems.de GF: Ralph Dehner / Unternehmenssitz: Vohburg / AG: Ingolstadt,HRB 3537 signature.asc Description: PGP signature
Bug#977382: qutebrowser-qtwebengine: Most devtools tabs stay blank
Hi Cédric, thanks for reporting! And sorry that it took me that long to answer. To check if the issue is qutebrowser or webengine related usually we suggest to try if the bug is reprodudcible with falkon (another browser using webengine) If the bug also happens in falkon its with webengine. Else it might be a qb bug. Best regards Fritz signature.asc Description: PGP signature

Bug#961432: RFP: picom -- lightweight compositor for X11
Hi Lev, I started to work on some packaging for it a month ago because I wanted to try that particular piece of software. https://salsa.debian.org/fiete-guest/picom Still needs some work especially regarding the Licenses (looks not that easy from my perspective) but works so far on my machine. Perhaps it helps with packaging it. Haven't looked for a sponsor by now. But also working on other projects at the moment. Bug#916683: libgnutls30: breaks msmtp 1.6.7-1
The issue is caused by a bug in msmtp which is already fixed in 1.8.1 https://gitlab.marlam.de/marlam/msmtp/issues/21 After I removed the patch in debian/patches that fixes only some typos in the manpage but does not apply any longer with 1.8.1 sources the package builds just fine. So hopefully the maintainer finds some time to package the new release soon. Until then just grab the sources from the repo and fetch the new upstream sources with uscan, remove the patch and build it locally. It’s based on Python, PyQt5 QtWebKit and QtWebEngine and free software, licensed under the GPL. It was inspired by other browsers/addons like dwb and Vimperator/Pentadactyl. But unlike dwb and other vim-like Browsers it does not rely on webkitgtk as the backend but on the newer QtWebKit and QtWebEngine (Chromium engine). I already did the packaging. The files can be found in my github repository: https://github.com/V155/qutebrowser/tree/debian-0.7.0 I also intend to package the dependency python3-pypeg2 do I have to write a seperate ITP for it?
