after removing dnsmasq the hot spot would not function i then re-installed, rebooted and disabled unbound, then the hot spot worked again dnsmasq seems to listen hard-coded on the previous dns server ip of the vpn connection (i connect to the vpn through the openvpn-nm applet) with the hot spot active i can't resolve anything on the vpn, using the correct vpn dns server ip all dns queries are refused...

Package: network-manager Version: 1.2.2-2 Severity: normal i use unbound as my resolver when i tried to setup a wifi access point (hot spot) i saw that my other devices couldn't connect to the internet at the time i had a vpn conn. with its own dns resolver and this was how i wanted the other devices to access the internet (i have a usb mobile broadband modem) is it possible the have a vpn connected on the machine running the hot spot and have other devices connect to the hot spot and access the vpn? having a look in journalctl i saw dnsmasq related entries: local dnsmasq[3502]: ignoring nameserver 10.42.0.1 - local interface the computer with the hot spot couldn't resolve as well as devices connected to the hot spot even if imanually changed resolv.conf the dns queries were refused i then removed dnsmasq - and saw the hot spot requires it, with other iptables rules spawned which also may conflict with my computer (i have default DROP and only whitelist) please help out...thanks Aug 10 11:32:18 local avahi-daemon[2358]: Withdrawing address record for 10.42.0.1 on wlxf4f26d11c434. Bug#815089: libimage-exiftool-perl: extract timestamp hash/algo of signed+timestamped PDF
i grepped through some other signed PDFs created from within Adobe Acrobat, signed with differing CA certs and timestamp servers and DigestAlgos - they all report the same md5 DigestValue...(?) disappointingly, tests with LibreOffice Writer signed/timestamped PDFs did not display a DigestValue. LO 5 can sign/timestamp exported PDFs but only timestamp from a non-AUTH http[s] timestamp server see https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=810723 shall await mr exiftool's prognosis of DigestValue...

Bug#810723: writer export to PDF/PDF A/1A sign and/or timestamp
Package: libreoffice Version: 1:5.0.4~rc2-2 Severity: normal i would like to make a couple of proposals currently, this seems to work when exporting from writer: * PDF and PDF A/1a * CA cert signed signature * timestamped with non http[s] AUTH based timestamp server this produces a PDF: sha1 hashed document restrictions summary, not allowed: changing the document document assembly i can't get a PDF A/1a timestamped with one which requires http[s] AUTH does writer support AUTH to enter credentials over http[s]? signing just with a CA valid cert does work to a non PDF A/1a, but opening the PDF in a windows acrobat or reader shows a modification warning after signing suggest some things need to be looked into in terms of: when signing/timestamping within Acrobat, and locking the document, causes the following restrictions _in addition_ to above: commenting filling of form fields signing of form fields creation of template pages once a PDF is signed, there should be an option to enable/disable future signing once it's timestamped, no further changes should be allowed, it should be 'locked' similarly to how Acrobat changes restrictions no idea what is/is not possible in terms of doing this outside of Acrobat but an sha256 hashed doc should be considered do-able (default in Acrobat with recent updates) -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers testing-updates APT policy: (500, 'testing-updates'), (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.2.0-1-amd64 Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages libreoffice depends on: pn fonts-dejavu pn fonts-sil-gentium-basic ii libreoffice-avmedia-backend-gstreamer 1:5.0.4~rc2-2 ii libreoffice-base 1:5.0.4~rc2-2 ii libreoffice-calc 1:5.0.4~rc2-2 ii libreoffice-core 1:5.0.4~rc2-2 ii libreoffice-draw 1:5.0.4~rc2-2 ii libreoffice-impress1:5.0.4~rc2-2 ii libreoffice-java-common1:5.0.4~rc2-2 ii libreoffice-math 1:5.0.4~rc2-2 ii libreoffice-report-builder-bin 1:5.0.4~rc2-2 ii libreoffice-writer 1:5.0.4~rc2-2 ii python3-uno1:5.0.4~rc2-2 Versions of packages libreoffice recommends: pn fonts-liberation | ttf-mscorefonts-installer pn libpaper-utils Versions of packages libreoffice suggests: ii cups-bsd 2.1.2-1 ii gstreamer1.0-libav 1.6.2-1 ii gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad 1.6.2-1 ii gstreamer1.0-plugins-base 1.6.2-1 ii gstreamer1.0-plugins-good 1.6.2-1 ii gstreamer1.0-plugins-ugly 1.6.2-1 ii hunspell-en-gb [hunspell-dictionary] 1:5.0.4-1 ii hyphen-en-gb [hyphen-hyphenation-patterns] 1:5.0.4-1 ii hyphen-es [hyphen-hyphenation-patterns]1:5.0.4-1 ii hyphen-uk [hyphen-hyphenation-patterns]1:5.0.4-1 ii iceweasel 38.5.0esr-1 ii imagemagick8:6.8.9.9-6+b1 ii libgl1-mesa-glx [libgl1] 11.0.8-1 ii libreoffice-gnome 1:5.0.4~rc2-2 pn libreoffice-grammarcheck ii libreoffice-help-en-gb [libreoffice-help-5.0] 1:5.0.4~rc2-2 ii libreoffice-l10n-en-gb [libreoffice-l10n-5.0] 1:5.0.4~rc2-2 pn libreoffice-officebean ii libsane1.0.25-2 ii libxrender11:0.9.9-2 pn myspell-dictionary ii mythes-es [mythes-thesaurus] 1:5.0.4-1 ii mythes-uk [mythes-thesaurus] 1:5.0.4-1 pn openclipart2-libreoffice | openclipart-libreoffic ii oracle-java8-installer [openjdk-7-jre] 8u66+8u65arm-1~webupd8~1 pn pstoedit ii unixodbc 2.3.1-4 Versions of packages libreoffice-core depends on: ii fontconfig2.11.0-6.3 ii fonts-opensymbol 2:102.7+LibO5.0.4~rc2-2 ii libatk1.0-0 2.18.0-1 ii libboost-date-time1.58.0 1.58.0+dfsg-4.1 ii libc6 2.21-6 ii libcairo2 1.14.4-1 ii libclucene-contribs1v52.3.3.4-4.1 ii libclucene-core1v52.3.3.4-4.1 ii libcmis-0.5-5v5 0.5.0-4 ii libcups2 2.1.2-1 ii libcurl3-gnutls 7.46.0-1 ii libdbus-1-3 1.10.6-1 pn libdbus-glib-1-2 pn
