Bug#987566: ghostscript: PDF Interpreter error on armel
Hi, I did some more investigations. Here is my testing-protocol: - create a chroot with debootstrap with Debian buster - run the command inside the chroot from outside (to avoid copying file into chroot... but I think it is exactly the same) chroot /srv/chroot/stable/ gs -dPDFDEBUG -dPARANOIDSAFER -dNOPAUSE -dNOINTERPOLATE -dNOMEDIAATTRS -dShowAcroForm -sstdout=%stderr -sOutputFile=%stdout -sDEVICE=txtwrite -sMediaType=Automatic -sOutputType=0 -r600x600 -dMediaPosition=7 -dDEVICEWIDTHPOINTS=595 -dDEVICEHEIGHTPOINTS=841 -dcupsMediaType=-1 -dcupsBitsPerColor=8 -dcupsColorOrder=0 -dcupsColorSpace=17 -dcupsInteger0=26 -scupsPageSizeName=A4 -I/usr/share/cups/fonts -c '<>setpagedevice' -f -_ < hp-setup-test-page.cups-pdf >/dev/null Here are my results: - 9.26a~dfsg-0+deb9u7 (stretch) : OK - 9.26a~dfsg-1 : KO - 9.26a~dfsg-2 : KO - 9.27~dfsg-1 : KO - 9.27~dfsg-2+deb10u4 (buster) : KO So I think the regression is in the step between 9.26a~dfsg-0+deb9u7 and 9.26a~dfsg-1. Dear maintainers, Please, note that this bug only concerns the armel architecture. I was able to double check on i686 with the same package version and it worked. I'm also able to indicate that this bugs is solved/fixed in 9.53.3~dfsg-7 (testing). Regards. -- Guilhem BONNEFILLE -=- mailto:guilhem.bonnefi...@gmail.com -=- http://nathguil.free.fr/

Package: ghostscript Version: 9.27~dfsg-2+deb10u4 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable Dear Maintainer, Initialy, I found the bug by updating from Debian stretch to buster (10.9): the printer was working on stretch but no more on buster. Thanks for the quick answer. 2014-04-10 10:42 GMT+02:00 Simon McVittie s...@debian.org: I think this is most likely to be a Folks bug; reassigning. Please install debugging symbols for at least GLib and folks (packages: libglib2.0-0-dbg, libfolks-eds-dbg, libfolks-dbg) and try to get a backtrace again. Using the gdb command thread apply all bt full instead of where might also provide useful information. I don't know how to use the -dbg version of the libs. Something to change in the environment? You can probably see this crash without Empathy by installing folks-tools and running folks-inspect. If it doesn't crash immediately, wait a few seconds; if it still hasn't crashed, type individuals at the prompt and see whether that crashes. If folks-inspect crashes, then it's confirmed to be a Folks bug. I confirm: folks-inspect crashes immediately. Upgrading libfolks25, libfolks-eds25 and related packages to the version from unstable (0.9.6-3) might also be useful. Such change is quite sensible: synaptic proposes to remove gnome. If you run empathy from a command-line (gnome-terminal or similar), do you get any warnings before it crashes? Bug#519014: Work in progress
No matter: the package available in Debian's mentors system is made by Andrea. Andrea seems to not have many time for giggle actually. So I decided to advertise as much as possible. I hope this is correct/acceptable, even if I'm not (officialy) identified as Debian Maintainer. 2009/4/13 Adeodato Simó adeod...@debian.org: Hello, Guilhem. Thanks for your interest on providing updated giggle packages! Unfortunately, you don’t seem to seem to be the current maintainer of giggle in Debian, and you don’t mention whether you’ve contacted him or have his approval about this update. I’m CC'ing him now, Andrea Corradi. I’d love to see an updated giggle package in Debian, and could help with sponsoring, at least for this time. Andrea, were you aware of these changes in giggle development (move to gnome.org, new upstream maintainer, etc.), and were planning on preparing and update yourself? Do you think you’ll be able to do that on the near future, and/or what do you think of getting Guilhem to help with the package maintenance? Not really - I checked wether or not any installed .deb had files in there (which was not the case) and had a look in /usr/share/pixmaps/hicolor/ what contained the following: 16x16/ 48x48/ icon-theme.cache 32x32/ autopackage-installer.png scalable/ I'm sorry I didn't saved the files in there, but since they didn't belong to any installed package and I don't have non-debian-packages installed on my system anymore, I thought they were just crap still existing due to experiments in former days/whatever. I had the same problem. File are quite old (2006) for me. I imagine it was a previous installation of the hicolor-icon-theme package. Probably a erroneous upgrade procedure after a directory switch. Bug#404190: kqemu-modules-2.6-k7: /dev/kqemu not created
Package: kqemu-modules-2.6-k7 Version: 2:2.6.18-2 Severity: normal I installed the kqemu-modules. After a reboot, nothing occurs: qemu complaints about missing /dev/kqemu. So I manually installed the module (modprobe kqemu). Nothing better. After a quick look on the internet, I found that we have to insert options kqemu major=0 in /etc/modprobe.d/kqemu. A new modprobe kqemu and the /dev/kqemu is now created. Perhaps could it be usefull to: - add the /etc/modprobe.d/kqemu file in the package; - or add a README.Debian indicating that the user have to create the file. Bug#393797: pan: Retrieving group list runs forever
Package: pan Version: 0.116-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable I'm running pan for the first time. So, I tried to retrieve group list info. I set 2 or 3 servers and then I launch the refresh group list task. This task collect more and more group info (I wait unitl 300,000 on server hosting 120,000 groups), but never ends. Even when I quit pan, the group list collect remains empty. I tried the 0.117 but nothing better.
