Bug#802905: powerline: Powerline v2.2 need tmux v2.2

2015-10-24 Thread Guillaume Seren
Package: powerline
Version: 2.2-2
Severity: important
Tags: upstream

Dear maintainer,
I use powerline with tmux to render the status line.

Since the upgrade, last week of the powerline package,
I get a problem of rendering of the status, it output:
 usage: powerline-daemon [-h] [-r MODULE] [-w WIDTH] [--last-exit-code INT]

After submitting the issue to the upstream they told me that :
«New powerline (2.3) can be used with all tmux versions it used to support
before and additionally 2.1 (BTW, tmux developers love to break things). It is
tmux update that makes powerline update be needed.»
https://github.com/powerline/powerline/issues/1476

So I am checking with you if you have the same issue ?

They are 2 solutions :
- Upgrade the powerline package to the v2.3 to stay compatible with tmux v2.1
- Provide a upgrade of the tmux package to v2.2

Tell me if you need additionnal information.

Regards,
Guillaume

2015-07-07 Thread Guillaume Seren
Package: firmware-iwlwifi

Followup-For: Bug #769633

Dear Maintainer,
As I am still following the kernel git daily,
and my new build ask for the *last* iwlwifi-7260-12.ucode.

I made my own version of the package with the new firmware,
but i would be better to have it in Debian directly.

I would like to help on that task, but as I am not a DD,
I don't know what can I do.

Bug#789627: Same error on i386

2015-06-23 Thread Mr Guillaume Seren
Hi there,
I got the same error here on i386.

The completion file seems to originally come from bash-completion,
so maybe it should not be redeclared here, but I am not sure.

I found the repos site here: https://bash-completion.alioth.debian.org/
and it contain the valgrind completion file.

We should ask to related maintainers.

Guillaume.

Dear Maintainer,
my vanilla kernel ask for the *new* firmware of my wifi card:
Network controller: Intel Corporation Wireless 7260 (rev 83)

Here is the error that I can see in the dmesg / journal:

for iwlwifi-7260-10.ucode failed with error -2

déc. 31 14:13:11 t440s-gs kernel: iwlwifi :03:00.0: New firmware can be
obtained from http://www.intellinuxwireless.org/.

I checkout the svn of firmware-nonfree and would be happy to submit a patch,
but I think need some sponsor to do it.

For the moment I made my own version of iwlwifi and it works against vanilla

Bug#745686: kernel-package: fails to build Linux 3.15-rc*

2014-04-29 Thread Guillaume Seren
Hi,
I have the same bug here on Debian SID,
and I can confirm a few things :
- The build is broken from the '3.15.0-rc1'.
- Revert the commit 'f4d4ffc03efc', fix the build again.
- The builded image is working, at least in my case, so revert this
commit do not seem's to break the image.
- I expect this bug to be kernel related but not sure, and some thread
explain the problem come from kernel-package, like :
https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/fa.linux.kernel/-J-3HbngvEw

Bug#735910: how-can-i-help: provide a nicer output

2014-01-20 Thread Guillaume Seren
Hello Lucas,
I discovered this tool at the Mini-DebConf and really like it,
it is really more convenient to get the bug's url directly when you upgrade.

Thank you for this little tool, it is already really helpfull to me.

I read the script, and feel that it is not to hard to implement some
fancy color in the output, so I done a fast and simple implementation.

WNPP: red
GIFT: green
NOTESTING : blue
AUTOREMOVAL : cyan

It can add a method, for managing the output and coloring it (or not),
if a option is given.

Bug#736092: systemd-sysv: Systemd mount lvm root but do not mount /usr on lvm.

2014-01-19 Thread Guillaume Seren
Package: systemd-sysv
Version: 204-6
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks the whole system

Hello dear Maintener,
I have installed systemd on several debian boxes around me,
based on systemd and systemd-sysv.

It fail to mount the usr partition witch is a logical-volume,
it was working well with sysvinit, so I suspect to come from systemd-sysv.

When I try to boot, it show up an error :
[FAILED] Failed to start Remount Root and Kernel File Systems.
See 'systemctl status systemd-remount-fs.service' for details.
[..] systemd[1]: Failed to start Remount Root and Kernel File Systems.

And it fail to mount it too, so drop me to emergency console,
witch show that just root is well mounted.

My setup (not so strange, I hope), is full LVM,
and got a distinct volume for : root, usr, var, tmp, home.

This is my fstab :

I try to change the UUID to the location '/dev/mapper/840--pro--256-*',
with an update-grub after, like in the debian wiki, but it still not work.
I also try to refresh the initramfs, not working too.

I think that the broblem bppend because systemd need,
the /usr binaries to mount the lvm, and so can not do,
because the /usr is not already mounted, I am searching
for a way to get /usr mounted before systemd need it.

Guillaume Seren.

I can't reproduce this, entering text were?

When entering digit like 6 or 7 in the unlock database startup screen.

I can add that it seems to append since I switch to bépo layout.

I follow the wiki debugging process, and it crash really fast, with a

Hi,
I just released that my mail, was misspelled, in my .reportbugrc, the
good one is : guillaumese...@gmail.com .

My bash version is : GNU bash, version 4.2.37(1)-release
(x86_64-pc-linux-gnu).

I patch the source, (from the git diff) and install it again,
but, the completion, seems to behave the same,
do you have a specific process, after, installing, the patched dpkg,
to get to right completion ?

Thanks and regards,
Guillaume.

Hi Carsten,

(please use guillaumese...@gmail.com, to mail me)

I just released that my mail, was misspelled, in my .reportbugrc, the
good one is : guillaumese...@gmail.com .

I try to run Icedove, with less plugin that possible,
but I try with the -safe-mode, and the crash did appened again,
when filtering large number of mail, so maybe it could be related to
this process.

I follow the wiki debugging process, and it crash really fast, with a
Broken pipe,
I attach the details of the log, to this mail.

Thanks for your answer,
I just check my dpkg and those packages are already installed :
-libwine-alsa-unstable:i386 (1.5.6-2)
-libasound2:amd64 (1.0.25-4)
-libasound2:i386 (1.0.25-4)

My wine installation is based on wine-unstable i386, in 1.5.6-2 version.

And it is not mixing, the sound, is in wine or in the system, but not
both, I already try to compile, from source the sound work correctly.

For the real support of pulseaudio, I search for a patch,
but I don't think the support is done in upstream, version of wine.

Best regards.
Guillaume

The pavucontrol is ok, and seem's well configured,
I really think that pulseaudio, is running, and doing good job,
in pavucontrol, i can control input/output control, with no pain.

Yes, that's been a work in progress for a very long time now...
Some patch seem's to exist on the internet,
so I think it should be possible to add support for pulseaudio,
even with a patch, I am also looking in the git tree of the project.

In the end, I do not understand how, my wine configuration,
seem's to not working as expected like others, maybe,
because I am on a Debian SID amd64, and by multiarch support,
I install wine-bin-unstable:i386 and libwine-bin-unstable:i386 ?
