Bug#411362: wodim: CD writing fails at fixation - floating point exception with -dummy

2007-02-18 Thread Heidi Lichterman
Package: wodim
Version: 9:1.1.2-1
Severity: important

Neither DVD nor CD writing is writing useable discs. The writing goes
OK then it gives an error during fixating. Initial writing was done
from Nautilus (which uses wodim -doa ). So I tried using wodim
directly to get some feedback on what 'the error' was.

I am getting a Floating POint Exception. These tests were done with
CDs but I suspect the same error is occurring with DVDs. Any
suggestions?

The disks are PNY technologies and have worked fine in the past with
cdrecord in sarge. This machine has just recently been upgraded to
pre-etch so this is probably the first time with wodim.

Bug#409382: gnome-games: glines only runs full-screen

2007-02-02 Thread Heidi Lichterman
Package: gnome-games
Version: 1:2.16.2-2
Severity: normal

glines was running fine on this machine until it was upgraded to
etch-to-be. Now glines starts up maximised size and the
minmise/maximise button makes no difference (apart from changing it's
icon). The window-manager is metacity.

Due to it's nature trying to play it full-screen isn't very
satisfying. Any bright ideas what broke?

Bug#296846: glabels: Still experiencing this bug in 2.02

2005-04-14 Thread Heidi Lichterman
Package: glabels
Version: 2.0.2-3
Followup-For: Bug #296846

I am experiencing the problem with the text object sidebar editor not
appearing except momentarily on two 'testing' machines here. I upgraded
both to the latest 2.0.2 which allegedly fixes the problem, but both
machines still suffer from it. It makes glabels nearly useless
(especially for mailmerging as there is no way to discover how to
insert a field with this bit of the UI missing), until you discover
that if you tear off this sidebar so it displays elsewhere on the
screen then it becomes properly visible again.

So, it's not as simple as 'fixed in 2.0.2'. perhaps something else
needs to be upgraded too (gtk?). I am happy to help with debugging if
someone suggests what I should check.
