As i described in the bug and on the post - all relevant data is already in
Debian the problem is accessing it :
For example you can try to work with localhost:631/he but this will not load
the proper css and images (i wonder why) and all links will move you to the
english version.

But still to work with hebrew interface i need to rebuild the package (to
make the proper css files to load) .
gr8 example is the translated images (that include הוסף instead of add)

For example the laptop battery indecator (inside kcontrol) fails to

probably enabled, but some of the sub-options were not - you need to
enable at least 'AC Adaptor' and 'Control Method Battery' and then

Bug#493642: cups: please enable Hebrew translation

2008-08-03 Thread Jabka Atu
Package: cups
Version: 1.3.7-9
Severity: important

Few years ago person named Offer Shar translated all cups both strings
and pictures.
The css whrere fixed to allow RTL languages and fixed many bidi issues.

the gr8 thing here is that not only the po files are translated also all
the pics are in
http://svn.easysw.com/public/cups/branches/branch-1.3/doc/he/images/
so people that don't read english can easily use this.

so if some one need heb support he is obligated to rebuild the package
and rebuild the source .

By Real time i ment the time on :
My mobile phone And on televison.

Perhaps it is related to Israeli DST issues (They aren't related to
dates but to goverment ideas).

To "fix" it moved the clock one hour manually (the pc's clock).
in other words -
The DST in isreal should be +3 and not +2 (UTC).

Bug#426374: ITP: klthemes -- Kdm & kde themes collection from the kde-look

2007-05-28 Thread Jabka Atu
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

I intend to package a collection of Kde and Kdm themes taken from the
kde-look.org.
it will into to sections: contrib/kde and nonfree/kde:
allmost all the themes on kde-look web-site are GPL so i can put them
onto contrib/kde but there are few that are in BSD licence (for
example one that hold the BSD logo) so i should add them onto non-free.

I allready started working on version one (to learn how to do it in
the proper way) and it could be downloaded on
http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/contrib/k/klthemes/
for now it is version 1.004 .

in the second version i intend to create it in a better configuartion
(and ITP is actualy for it):
for each theme i create a small package that holds the name
klthemes-kdm-THEMENAME

im working on a script that will automaticly :
   extract to klthemes-kdm-THEMENAME(tar)
   create the proper configuretion file.
remove all executable flags (chmod -x *)
if licence is other then GPL it will create a
klthemes-kdm-non-free-THEMENAME

two meta(?) packages:

klthemes-kdm (will use depends to install all klthemes-kdm-foo).
klthemes-kdm-non-free

Bug#381224: no driver for lexmark x3300 serires in cups

2006-08-02 Thread Jabka Atu

Package: cupsys
Version: 1.2.2-1
Severity:| wishlist|

i had bought an x3330 lexmark all-in-one printer (3300 series).
when i tried to install it i didn't found a suitable driver (model to
choose) in cups.

i googled for almost two weeks and with no help:
i have found that sometimes using the z600 driver help for lexmark x
printers.

using rpm2cpio i open the rpm.
and a Z600 model was shown in the model choosing screen ,but still my
printer dosn't work.

i also tried the z42,z52 models and even the 4000 model .
also i had found that x3330 x3340 x3350 x3370 use the same driver .

Bug#381182: apt continue in th instaltion script altru the packages was not installed.

2006-08-02 Thread Jabka Atu

Package: apt
Version: 0.6.45
Severity: |serious|

the bug will happen if all condition are true:
person installed nvidia-glx-legacy and then removed it without purge.
person tried to install nvidia-glx by apt-get install.
happen both in testing and unstable.
when you try to install nvidia-glx you will get the next error :

debian:/var/lib/dpkg# apt-get install nvidia-glx

Reading package lists... Done

Building dependency tree... Done

Suggested packages:

nvidia-settings

The following NEW packages will be installed

nvidia-glx

0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 79 not upgraded.

Need to get 0B/3291kB of archives.

After unpacking 10.9MB of additional disk space will be used.

`diversion of /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libGLcore.a to

Errors were encountered while processing:

/var/cache/apt/archives/nvidia-glx_1.0.8762-2_i386.deb

E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

after this error apt (or nvidia-glx) create dpkg-divertions witch
prevent installing(for purging) both nvidia-flx and nvidia-glx-legacy.

eatch of the packages will say that the other one is installed (glx
vs legacy).

to fix it you should :

list divertions.

debian:/home/mha13# dpkg-divert --list nvidia-glx-legacy

diversion of /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libGLcore.a to
/usr/lib/nvidia/libGLcore.a.xlibmesa by nvidia-glx-legacy

diversion of /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.a to
/usr/lib/nvidia/libglx.a.xlibmesa by nvidia-glx-legacy

diversion of /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so to /usr/lib/nvidia/libglx.so.xlibmesa by nvidia-glx-legacy

then remove the diverstions.

dpkg-divert --rename --remove /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.a

dpkg-divert --rename --remove /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so
dpkg-divert --rename --remove /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libGLcore.a

and now you can install freely the nvidia-glx.

the issue with the bug that apt(or nvidia-glx) create divertions even if
it is not installed (exit with error)
