Bug#910272: firmware-amd-graphics: Error raised in amdgpu module

2018-10-04 Thread Jacek Bzdak
Package: firmware-amd-graphics
Version: 20180825+dfsg-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I get following error from time to time in syslog. Right now there are no
crashes no visual artifacts, so syslog trace is only trace of this error.

I have HP EliteBook 755 G5, with AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 2700U w/ Radeon Vega Mobile
Gfx CPU.

Let me know if you want any more help on this, I'd be happy to e.g. install
newer firmware from upstream.

Bug#905867: Workaround

2018-10-04 Thread Jacek Bzdak
To anyone interested, instructions from here:
https://unix.stackexchange.com/a/394032/5612
 seem to enable rtl8822be on
buster.

Excerpt:
git clone https://github.com/lwfinger/rtlwifi_new.git
git checkout origin/extended -b
extendedcd rtlwifi_newmake install modprobe -r rtl8822bemodprobe -v rtl8822be
Side effect is that bluetooth doesn't seem to be working, but for me wifi is
more important than bluetooth so I can live with that.

After installing firmware-realtek I didn't have rtl8822be module installed on
my laptop, which I guess might be the culprit.

Jacek

I'm also experiencing this issue. Is there anything I can do to help fixing it?

2014-08-30 Thread Jacek Bzdak
Package: gnome-settings-daemon
Version: 3.12.2-1
Followup-For: Bug #755050

Dear Maintainer,

just dropping a note that this also affects one more person.

I'd also increase the importance --- as for many users this could make system
unusable, and it is really hard do pinpoint real issue here.

2014-07-17 Thread Jacek Bzdak
Package: virtualenv

Dear Maintainer,

Virtualenv does not work for manually compiled pythons.

To reproduce:

1. Download python source (may be latest version; tested for 2.7.8)
2. Compile, make and install locally
3. Try to create virtualenv
