Comments/Problems:

Installed debian live 7.0 amd64 kde without any issues really. I am
able to log into the desktop, but at some point the screen becomes
warped or distorted and I can no longer make anything out. The
graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce 6150E. Debian seems to have an
issue with the video card and I don't know how to correct it. I can
reboot and reload the grub with no problem but then about a minute in
is when the screen warps/distorts.

Bug#316596: Acknowledgement (imp4: Cannot display messages with header Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8-bit)

2005-07-01 Thread Jason Smith
Upon further research, I believe that this is a bug in
request-tracker3.4 because RFC 2045 indicates that the correct value for
the header is "8bit", not "8-bit". "8-bit" does not appear in the
document at all, thus I will submit a new bug + patch to
request-tracker3.4.

Bug#316596: imp4: Cannot display messages with header Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8-bit

2005-07-01 Thread Jason Smith
Package: imp4
Version: 4.0.2-2
Severity: normal

I am trying to use both request-tracker3.4 and IMP4 from Debian.
However, IMP cannot read messages generated from Request Tracker because
RT sends mail with the header Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8-bit. When
viewing a message from RT, IMP says that there is part, type
application/octet-stream. The body of the message simply says, "There
are not parts that can be displayed inline". I have confirmed that this
header is involved with the problem by sending a message manually via
netcat, screenshot below:

  220 mail.mycompany.local ESMTP Postfix (Debian/GNU)
  helo foo
  250 mail.mycompany.local
  mail from: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
  250 Ok
  rcpt to: jason
  250 Ok
  data
  354 End data with .
  Subject: done with netcat
  Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8-bit
  Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1

  Hi. Can you see me?
  .
  250 Ok: queued as 4FF9046C5CD

Using evolution, the message displays as it should.

Bug#298037: horde2: Horde creates /etc/apache on 100% Apache 2 system

2005-03-04 Thread Jason Smith
Package: horde2
Severity: normal

On a Sarge system which has no Apache 1 whatsoever, I still see an
/etc/apache directory because horde2 creates
/etc/apache/conf.d/horde2.conf.

The system is apache2 with mod-perl, mod-python, and PHP4 with many
applications. Currently, horde2 is one of only two packages which
are touching /etc/apache. It would be nice if horde2 were cleaner about
the two versions of Apache in use.
