This exact same behavior re-appeared today after running

# aptitude update
# aptitude safe-upgrade

again. This time a reboot does not solve the problem.

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

Moving to the 2nd headline.

   * What was the outcome of this action?

Segfault.

   * What outcome did you expect instead?

Read news without crash.

This happens after

upgrade. Full backtrace below, but the culprit seems to be

After establishing a wired DHCP connection, NetworkManager segfaults. This does

No change.

Package: phonon-backend-gstreamer

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

Browse folder in amarok with phonon-backend-gstreamer backend. M4a files
are not listed but can be played if called directly from the command
line.

phonon-backend-vlc shows these file, so it is specific to the gstreamer
backend.

Cheers,

Bug#670939: ntpq man page points to non-existing doc

The ntpq man page points to /usr/share/doc/ntp-doc/html/ntpq.html for the
full documentation. This file does not exist.

 Works for me:

 $ apt-file search /usr/share/doc/ntp-doc/html/ntpq.html
 ntp-doc: /usr/share/doc/ntp-doc/html/ntpq.html

Indeed, if one installs ntp-doc. The question then is should a man
page in ntp point to a file that is only available as part of a
different package. Your decision.

Bug#400901: [Pkg-awstats-devel] Bug#400901: awstats: geoip plugin stopped working after update

2006-11-30 Thread Joerg Dietrich
What was your previous version? Do you have way of rolling back to ensure
that it really did work with the previous version?

I don't know how to find out the exact previous version. The apt cache
directory does not contain it anymore. I went back to 6.4-1sarge3, the
only older version I could find. That still works fine.

The upgrade that resulted in the reported error was done on the evening
(CEST) of Nov 27.

I update static statistic pages every two hours. As these were created
without any error message I am certain that the previous version worked.

None of the changes in the most recent upload should have impacted geo, as
 far as I can tell.
