Bug#1072481: RFP: cockpit-filesharing — A plugin for Cockpit to manage Samba and NFS shares.

2024-06-02 Thread John Cooper
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

The software enables the capacity to manage the network shares provided by
Samba and NFS, via Cockpit. This is for the server on which Cockpit is
installed, or can be connected to through the multiple server functionality of
web interface daemon.

The original official developers are concentrating on RPM based distributions,
but do have a Debian repository. However it’s only valid for Debian 11 and
Ubuntu Linux up to 20.04.

Bug#1072479: RFP: cockpit-navigator — Web based file browser for cockpit to navigate filesystem.

2024-06-02 Thread John Cooper
Package: wnpp
Severity: wishlist

The package is really useful as it allows users, to navigate the filesystem of
the server, on which the instance of Cockpit installed on. In order to manage
its filesystem without, needing to connect and login with SSH to do so.

The official developers of the software are currently concentrating on RPM
distributions. They do have a Debian repository however the packages, are only
built for Bullseye and not Debian Linux 12 or even the upcoming Debian Linux 13.

Bug#964426: linux-image-5.7.0-1-amd64: Fails to suspend

2020-07-06 Thread John Cooper
Package: src:linux
Version: 5.7.6-1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

Computer fails to suspend (pretty consistently) when using above linux image.
Reverting to linux-image-5.6.0-2-amd64 prevented the issue from reoccurring.

When suspending the computer (via desktop environment, closing the lid, or
pressing the power button (set to suspend), it appears to suspend the computer
for just over 2 seconds, at which time the computer lock screen appears,
indicating that wake-up has occurred.

Bug#747206: [legit] Needs to support new version of clint

2014-05-06 Thread John Cooper
Package: legit
Version: 0.1.1-3
Severity: normal
Tags: patch

--- Please enter the report below this line. ---

The version of clint in testing has changed.

Upstream has fixed this already:

https://github.com/kennethreitz/legit/pull/131

Changing cli.py so that it imports Args from clint and adding
args = Args() seems to fix it okay.

Bug#431999: Problem in tritium

2007-09-20 Thread John Cooper
If you look at the bottom of the file /usr/bin/tritium there is an line
in the scipt like the following:

os.environ[DISPLAY] = :0

comment this out and it all works fine.

So I think this is a problem with tritum and not xlib.
