Bug#888501: gstreamer1.0-vaapi: Latests versions does not work at all

2018-01-26 Thread Junior Polegato
Package: gstreamer1.0-vaapi
Version: 1.12.4-1+b2
Severity: grave
Tags: upstream
Justification: renders package unusable

Dear Maintainer,

Hi!

I am using Debian Testing with lastests Gnome/Xorg and I have had a problem
with gstreamer1.0-vaapi.

With vaapi enabled, I see about 120 streams without problems or lags, otherwise
I just can see about 14 ~ 16 streams.

I did some tests with old packages versions from snapshot, where I got this
problems:

Versions: 1.10.4-1+b1 or 1.11.91-1 or 1.12.0-1

libva info: VA-API version 0.40.0
libva info: va_getDriverName() returns 0
libva info: Trying to open /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/dri/i965_drv_video.so
libva error: /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/dri/i965_drv_video.so has no function
__vaDriverInit_0_32
libva info: va_openDriver() returns -1

Versions: 1.12.1-1 or 1.12.2-1 or 1.12.2-1+b1 or 1.12.3-1 or 1.12.3-1+b1 or
1.12.3-2

libva error: /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/dri/i965_drv_video.so has no function
__vaDriverInit_0_32

Versions: 1.12.3-2+b1 or 1.12.4-1 or 1.12.4-1+b1 or 1.12.4-1+b2

So I downgrade i965-va-driver package and hold it, "hold" because this didn't
broken apt:

dpkg -i i965-va-driver_1.8.3-1_i386.deb
echo i965-va-driver hold | dpkg --set-selections

Now I a get this:

Versions: 1.10.4-1+b1 or 1.11.91-1 or 1.12.0-1 ==> THIS WORKS

libva info: VA-API version 0.40.0
libva info: va_getDriverName() returns 0
libva info: Trying to open /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/dri/i965_drv_video.so
libva info: Found init function __vaDriverInit_0_40
libva info: va_openDriver() returns 0

Versions: 1.12.1-1 or 1.12.2-1 or 1.12.2-1+b1 or 1.12.3-1 or 1.12.3-1+b1 or
1.12.3-2 or 1.12.3-2+b1 or 1.12.4-1 or 1.12.4-1+b1 or 1.12.4-1+b2

Can someone solve this for lastest gstreamer1.0-vaapi and i965-va-driver to
work?

Thanks.

Bug#785495: gdm3: handle new Xorg "-nolisten tcp" default

2016-05-24 Thread Linux - Junior Polegato

Hi!

I installed GDM3 3.20.1-1 and now has code to solve this problem, but,
in new code, I suspect that has a failure, because the logic in the line
331 should be inverse of original code in 336:

daemon/gdm-server.c:331:if (!server->priv->disable_tcp && !
query_in_arglist) {
daemon/gdm-server.c:336:if (server->priv->disable_tcp && !
query_in_arglist) {

I suggest change 331 to:

if (!server->priv->disable_tcp || query_in_arglist) {

Best regards,

Junior Polegato

If I just uninstalling libreoffice-gtk3, and gnome and libreoffice-gnome
dependencies, maintaining libreoffice-gtk works well, with gtk theme
decorations.

If I uninstalling libreoffice-gtk, the widgets seems bad.

Oh dear, that doesn't sound good :(

I noticed that this happened when the user holds and doesn't move the mouse,
like a long click. Whatever, if he clicks, holds and moves the mouse, this
doesn't happen.

I'm afraid I can't reproduce the problem here. I'm going to ask some
questions that will hopefully help us work out what is happening.

Is there a particular sequence of events that you need to trigger the
problem, or is it every time you hold the mouse button down?

No particular sequence of events, any time I hold the mouse button down
for some seconds, the program closes.

You mentioned that you have upgraded some machines. Are you able to
reproduce the problem on different machines?

Yes, even I installed from zero two formated machines and get the same
problem.

It's possible that there are some library incompatibilities caused by
the gcc 5 transition. Could you check if all packages are at their
newest version from unstable?

Yes, all packages are at their newest version, but from testing.

If you can easily reproduce the problem, could you try to get a stack
trace for us?

# Install debug symbols. These are quite big, so if you don't have

I did this and attached in this message goes this log file.

Bug#742226: Back to 3 dotted components

2014-03-26 Thread Linux - Junior Polegato

Hi!

I downloaded the Debian's kernel with "apt-get source linux", using
testing target, replace 3.13 by 3.13.1 and brasilians' banks sites
worked fine now.

Can you back to put 3 dotted components in kernel version, please?

Thanks,

Junior Polegato

Bug#710465: python-gobject-2: super(class, obj) does not more work after update from 2.28.6-10 to 2.28.6-12

2013-05-30 Thread Junior Polegato
Package: python-gobject-2
Version: 2.28.6-12
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?

My custom widget Editor from gtk.Entry does not more work with super(class,
obj) in method do_key_press_event

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)?

In this minimal example bellow, the line 10 is the problem:

import gtk
class Editor(gtk.Entry, gtk.Buildable):
__gtype_name__ = 'Editor'
__gsignals__ = {
"key-press-event": "override",
}
def __init__(self, *args, **kargs):
super(Editor, self).__init__(*args, **kargs)
def do_key_press_event(self, event):
super(Editor, self).do_key_press_event(event)
w = gtk.Window()
w.connect('delete-event', gtk.main_quit)
e = Editor()
w.add(e)
w.show_all()
gtk.main()

In this case I get this error:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "teste.py", line 10, in do_key_press_event
super(Editor, self).do_key_press_event(event)
TypeError: Gtk.Widget.key_press_event() argument 1 must be gtk.Widget, not
gtk.gdk.Event

Then I put "self" explicitly and I get a infinity loop:

Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "teste.py", line 10, in do_key_press_event
super(Editor, self).do_key_press_event(self, event)
RuntimeError: maximum recursion depth exceeded while calling a Python object

But if I replace "super" by "gtk.Entry", this example works fine, like was in
2.28.6-10.

Now do I need to use static method class call instead "super"?

Thanks,
Junior Polegato

Bug#646686: xserver-xephyr: Xephyr doesn't work with evdev input drivers

2011-10-26 Thread Junior Polegato
Package: xserver-xephyr
Version: 2:1.11.1.901-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I use Xephyr and GDM2 to make multi seat terminal with one machine.

If I use Xephyr with evdev driver, I get "Couldn't find pointer driver
evdev".

So, I compiled the package xorg-xserver adding on debian/rules
"--enable-kdrive-evdev" and then Xephyr works perfectly.

Is it possible add this option for users who work with multi seat
terminal? Cause I think this isn't bad for other users and I don't have
to compile for each new version.

Thanks,

Junior Polegato

Bug#568916: libgtk2.0-0: Button does not show stock image

2010-02-08 Thread Junior Polegato
Package: libgtk2.0-0
Version: 2.18.6-1
Severity: important

Hi, buttons with stock images and set_image does not show the image. I can not
tell if the problem is on Debian Testing or GTK +, but the function show () on
the button image works around, see:

#include

int main(int argc, char *argv[]){
GtkWidget *window;
GtkWidget *button;
GtkWidget *button_alignment;
GtkWidget *button_alignment_hbox;
GtkWidget *button_alignment_hbox_image;
gtk_init (&argc, &argv);
window = gtk_window_new (GTK_WINDOW_TOPLEVEL);
button = gtk_button_new_from_stock ("gtk-quit");
gtk_container_add (GTK_CONTAINER (window), button);
gtk_widget_show (button);
gtk_widget_show (window);
button_alignment = gtk_bin_get_child (GTK_BIN (button));
button_alignment_hbox = gtk_bin_get_child (GTK_BIN (button_alignment));
button_alignment_hbox_image = gtk_container_get_children (GTK_CONTAINER
(button_alignment_hbox))->data;
gtk_widget_show (button_alignment_hbox_image);
gtk_main ();
return 0;
}

I do not find settings to resolve this in GTK+ or Gnome, then I think it is a
bug.

Bug#552737: planner: Planner 0.14.4 replace option --enable-database to --with-database and on debian/rules it's not yet.

Planner 0.14,4 replace option --enable-database to --with-database and on
debian/rules it's not yet.
I do this change just in debian/rules and compile fine, resulting on a full
feature binary with support to database.
