Bug#457774: [Pkg-xfce-devel] Bug#457774: thunar: fail to handle properties of broken sym link

2007-12-27 Thread JusTiCe8

Hi,

Yves-Alexis Perez wrote:

Hmhm, I can confirm this, but don't see the point to do this as root.
Even removing the symlink target confuses thunar (well, it doesn't
refresh the brokenness of the link). I'll investigate and maybe report
upstream.

I just use root account cause I'm a bit lazy and it just to have another
file's owner.

Bug#457773: [Pkg-xfce-devel] Bug#457773: in some case, thunar won't reduce its windows size

2007-12-27 Thread JusTiCe8

Yves-Alexis Perez wrote:

I don't get the “grow its size”. I guess you mean that a scrollbar
appears, depending on the view (detailed view for example)?

I've not tried all available view option of thunar, but I use detailled
view all the time and what I mean is thunar window grows horizontally to
fit long filename (perhaps this behavior could/should be switchable by
an according option item as I guess not anyone want this) and we can't
shrink the window manually after that, except by going to another
dir/mount point.

Bug#449509: conky: enablind dbe make desktop icons hidden

2007-12-27 Thread JusTiCe8

Hi,

Kapil Hari Paranjape wrote:

OK. So just to satisfy this, I actually ran the configuration on a
real Xorg server. There did not seem to be a problem here either.

So I'm now beginning to suspect something specific with your X
configuration (which may include your xfce4 configuration).

If you have root on your system then try the following first.

Create a new test user and login as that user with xfce4 as the chosen
desktop session. Then copy your .conkyrc to that user's .conkyrc and
start conky.

If you do not have root then testing this is possible but is more
complex.

If the new user continues to have the same problem then the problem is
somewhere with your X configuration otherwise the problem is with
your user configuration.

I have tried on another system which is also in testing with xfce and a
similar xfce config, but in a VirtualBox VM, with another X driver, and
I get the same behavior. I think is like nautilus, for such filemanager
that manage also the desktop, they don't like someone else do something
with X root window and they don't work as expected.
As said before, using its own window with type set to override make
everyone happy together.

Regards,

Kapil.

Bug#457773: in some case, thunar won't reduce its windows size

2007-12-25 Thread JusTiCe8

Package: thunar
Version: 0.9.0-2
Severity: minor

*** Please type your report below this line ***

When a file is created in a given directory (and maybe in a given
mount point), for example, when decompressing archive with such files in
it, thunar grow its size to fit long filename, but refuse to reduce it
as before. Going to parent dir don't help. The only way to reduce the
window size is to change to another location of another mount point then
reduce size then go back.

Bug#457774: thunar: fail to handle properties of broken sym link

2007-12-25 Thread JusTiCe8

Package: thunar
Version: 0.9.0-2
Severity: normal

*** Please type your report below this line ***

Having a broken sym. link in a dir make thunar a bit confused.

- create a file with another user (root is good),
- create a sym link to this file with current user,
- remove the file created at step 1 (by the owner),
- when show properties of link, thunar opens a window then close it
immediatly, link is not showed anymore in directory listing until
 refresh view.

Bug#326956: xserver-xorg: Memory leak

2007-08-07 Thread JusTiCe8

Hi everyone,

I wish to add some information about this issue, I'm using Testing on a
Tyan S2460 with 2 GB memory and a nvidia Geforce4 MX440/64 MB, 2.6.18,
official Xorg server from testing and I encounter very high leaks with
nvidia driver 1.0.9639-1 (nvidia-glx-legacy-96xx package from unstable).
So I used the standard/open source nv driver and encounter the same
issue, but leak grows slower.

I use gdm and Xfce4 which could be linked to the issue.

After about more than 3d uptime, Xorg use now 12.30 % memory (12.78 %
now after just 4 to 5 hours).

With nvidia driver, after 4d uptime, it was about 35 % memory.
I don't open more window or workspace, and memory consumption always
grows while I'm not behind the computer, with a mere blank screensaver.
Some memory seems to be never freed whatever I close as many
windows/programs as I want.

I jusy have one background image which never change.

As some people talk about this here:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=440038 .

and here:

http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-537634-postdays-0-postorder-asc-highlight-xorg+memory+leak-start-75.html

It seems than XopenDisplay/XCloseDisplay sequence is potentially, and
partially, responsible for the leak.

Note than xrestop don't shows so much unknow identifier in my case.
(This bug is of course for xserver-xorg-core package)

Regards.

not tested back on 2.6.18 after a reboot cause of another issue with...
an init script/udev (stuck on floppy drive query ?, no floppy drive in
my box, boot was ok previously). Anyone have suggestions about this issue ?

others command like cat or file hang also on this file. As file is
located in a sysfs mounted volume, it can't be a disk failure I guess.

these packages have also been upgraded, but same thing, no sources change:
libsysfs2 2.1.0-2 - 2.1.0-2+b1
sysfsutils 2.1.0-2 - 2.1.0-2+b1

Tried also with sysfs packages downgrade: w/o reboot, no change.

crash source but it could be more than this one. Please note also that
the crash occur at anytime in any condition, not an easy case to reproduce.

Bug#432101: xserver-xorg-core: Crash when swithching to another X server

2007-07-07 Thread JusTiCe8

Hi,

Brice Goglin wrote:

reassign 432101 nvidia-glx
thank you

This backtrace with several lines without any symbol name looks very
suspicious. It's probably caused by the nvidia binary driver obsfucating
symbols. So I am reassigning this bug to nvidia-glx for now.

mmm... not sure, they're just unknow cause I use a stripped release of
Xorg server, so without any proof

of a nvidia driver failure, IMHO this reassignment is a bit premature.

If you successfully catch a debugging backtrace with nice symbol names
and no nvidia symbols (with Julien's suggestion), please let me know,
I'll be happy to reassign the bug back to the Xserver core.

ok

Also, it could be good to test with another driver (either nv or vesa)
so that we know whether it is nvidia-driver-specific or not.

good idea.

Regards.

Bug#403431: Segmentation fault in pcsx - more information

2007-01-06 Thread JusTiCe8

Hi,

first, it's occur also in last, not yet 'debianized', release (1.7rc3).
Then, it's not related to padjoy.
A workaround to this issue is to remove HOME/.pcsx dir, and run pcsx
again and reconfigure it, it's work !
(Maybe there is a little issue in config file parsing, cause I saw
uninitialized/bad value in BiosDir variable, see below, but

crash occured in gtk stuffes
Perhaps pcsx don't like very much bios settings or other than the one
provided by itself:/.

2005-10-22 Thread JusTiCe8
Package: supertransball2

Hi,

when you try to change level pack, game crashed cause by a lack of
checking values in state_mainmenu.cpp at line 69 (state_mainmenu_cyle
function), a variable image is get from a file (bad assumption about
relative path, without any check) makes passing NULL pointer next. So
it's better tochange directory to the one expected in game.cpp, a right
'chdir' makes everything better.

The attached patch fix it.

Bug#323033: xfce4-session: Close session need to be done twice to work

2005-08-14 Thread JusTiCe8
Package: xfce4-session
Version: 4.2.2-1
Severity: normal

The last testing release of xfce4-session made it annoying.
I have skype, gaim, multi-gnome-terminal, gkrellm, xmms and sometime
thunderbird running and when I want to close the session, it's just
iconify skype and do nothing else, the second time I close session,
everything is ok.
Previous release works fine.

Bug#316061: kazehakase: gtk filerequester always forgot last location of saved file

2005-06-28 Thread JusTiCe8
Package: kazehakase
Version: 0.2.7-2
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

it's very annoying to have to select again and again the same location
to save files when browsing.

Stores location of saved file (as others browser/apps do) should be better.

Regards.

Bug#291664: xfce4-session: Ask user to set or not setuid bit to xfce4-shutdown on install

2005-01-22 Thread JusTiCe8
Package: xfce4-session
Version: 0.1.3+20031213-5
Severity: wishlist
Hi,
as there is an issue with shutdown/reboot on exit, it could be nice to
ask user on package install if setuid bit would be set or not, or at
least print something to user to tell her/him to use sudo or set setuid
bit to use this feature of xfce4-session.

Cheers.

Bug#291675: gcombust: Interface size grows horizontally after one burn with cdrecord-prodvd

2005-01-22 Thread JusTiCe8
Package: gcombust
Version: 0.1.55-1.1
Severity: minor
Hi,
When I use cdrecord-prodvd (2.01b31-i686-pc-linux-gnu) with gcombust,
after a successfull burning, interface grows horizontally, so I must use
slider to use gcombust after, making it not really very user-friendly.
Resizing gcombust window to a lower size makes everything better by
reducing inner window size.
I use xfce4 and I see the same with fluxbox. Before, with just Gnome
(2.4/2.6), it's never happen (but I only burn CDR with gcombust/cdrecord).

Regards.
