Bug#894373: works in unstable

2018-04-05 Thread Lars Schimmer
Ok, no issue on a unstable system. So this bug is a issue with mixing
libraries from stable :-( Unfortunate.
You can close this bug.

mixed debian releases to get a stable base system with recent CUDA and
blender e.g.
Blender in stretch does miss some functions of sid blender. Same with CUDA.

Sorry for the hassle.

Lars Schimmer

Bug#894373: blender: Assertion Non-finite sum in path_radiance_clamp_and_sum failed

2018-03-29 Thread Lars Schimmer
Package: blender
Version: 2.79.a+dfsg0-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Blender dies with error: blender:

ccl::float3 ccl::path_radiance_clamp_and_sum(ccl::KernelGlobals*,

path_radiance_clamp_and_sum!"' failed.

zsh: abort blender -b -y Glass\ Tris\ VR\ 2\ anim.blend -noaudio
-nojoystick -o render_

Upstream 2.79b from blender.org does work without that problem on the
same machine.

If needed I can supply the .blend file (90MB)

Since I updated from a 2.6.18 kernel to the debian amd64 2.6.26 kernel, my
sound stutter horrible while I run apps like BOINC client or any else high CPU

Hi, with 2.6.26-11 and open-iscsi 2.0.870~rc3-0.3 the iscsid will not start, it
tries to open /sys/module/scsi_transport_iscsi/version file and stops
afterwards.

Bug#326765: nvidia-kernel-source

2005-09-05 Thread Lars Schimmer
-BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-
Hash: SHA1

Package: nvidia-kernel-source
Version: 1.0.7667-3

I installed debian sarge, installed the kernel linux-source-2.6.12(-5)
from unstable, built the kernel, built the nvidia kernel module,
installed both packages (built with make-kpkg), rebooted.
After reboot X won't start, as no module found.
Had a look:
kernel-module was in /lib/modules/2.6.12/nvidia (on another 2.6.11
machine it is in ...12/kernel/driver/video).
And there is NO X11 nvidia module in /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/.

As it follows, a XFree log:
(II) LoadModule: nvidia
(WW) Warning, couldn't open module nvidia
(II) UnloadModule: nvidia
(EE) Failed to load module nvidia (module does not exist, 0)
(II) LoadModule: mouse

Strange so far, System is a Pentium D 3 ghz on a Intel D945GTP
motherboard with a nvidia 7800GT board, lspci tells me:
