Bug#681297: [korganizer] [feature request] korganizer should help users to keep calendar files small
Package: korganizer Version: 4:4.4.11.1+l10n-3 Severity: normal --- Please enter the report below this line. --- Hello folks, in my view korganizer works way faster if calendar files are kept small. I could increase speed massively by reshaping an .ics file from 300k to 12k. I did that by manually cleaning up the past which took an hour or so, but was a very simply task. So i would very much like to see a feature in korganizer that allows the user to trigger that past events are erased or moved to some kind of archive, which should be another file, of course. For repeated events it could mean that they are processed after their last occurrence is over. Or that every time an occurrence becomes part of the past it is removed/archived and at the same time the following occurrence is set the starting point of the sequence. There should also be the freedom say that past event are kept for some time before they are removed/archived. The reason for this feature request is that a calendar should rather keep the focus on the future than the past. Bug#668561: [korganizer] more investigations and a feature request
Package: korganizer Version: 4:4.4.11.1+l10n-3 --- Please enter the report below this line. --- Hello folks, I realized that the problem primarily occurs when loading a specific .ics file. And the reason is that this file was very big for an .ics file (300k). After shrinking it down to 12k by manually by removing almost all events of the past it is loaded reasonably quicker now. Although i ask myself whether it is normal that cpu goes up to such high rates every time when loading an .ics file... While removing all those old events i thought to myself it would be nice if korganizer would do that for me. I wrote a corresponding feature request. See Bug#681297. Bug#680104: [amarok] chrash upon jumping in ogg podcasts
Package: amarok Version: 2.5.0-3 Severity: normal --- Please enter the report below this line. --- Hello there, this report is likely to be related to #679729, but i was not sure, therefore i started a new report. Amarok shows the following reproducible behavior: it crashes when i jump while playing a podcast in ogg-format. i tested the file http://alternativlos.cdn.as250.net/alternativlos-24.ogg and other episodes of this podcast, which are also in ogg format. Every time i jumped to another position amarok crashed. I also tried local ogg files and podcasts in mp3, such as the file http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/cre-podcast/~5/aMJ8ZG1SiMk/cre194-bier.mp3 Conclusion: both local ogg and remote mp3 worked well. only remote ogg leeds to crash when setting the position. Package: amarok Version: 2.5.0-3 Severity: normal --- Please enter the report below this line. --- Hello, amarok just crashed, while i was listening to some podcast. I did nothing special, so it is hard for me to reproduce the error in a way other than by restarting amarok and waiting. Strangely (but luckily) i could generate some information about the crash (see below) although i do not have the package amarok-dbg installed. Hope it helps. i will also install the package amarok-dbg to be able to commit further information if it crashes again. Bug#513703: italc-client: strange behaviour of ica - createkeypair
Package: italc-client Version: 1:1.0.9~rc3-1 Severity: normal when I did ica -createkeypair as root, the files /etc/italc/keys/private/teacher/public/key /etc/italc/keys/private/teacher/private/key were generated as expected. but they have a very strange property. on the first glance everthing seemed normal, as shown below /etc/italc/keys$ ls -lR * private: drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 31. Jan 13:29 teacher private/teacher: -r--r--r-- 1 root root 668 31. Jan 13:29 key public: drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 31. Jan 13:29 teacher public/teacher: -r--r--r-- 1 root root 594 31. Jan 13:29 key but when i do [ls|less|...] [private|public]/[teacher|...]/tab the option is key. Ok so far nothing to worry about. But another tab gives key ptab public/ private/ so there is a kind of a loop. This behaviour does not only appear with $PWD=.../teacher, but with every pwd i tried. I could generate the following line only by hitting tab repeatedly /teacher$ ls key key key key ... though this is something i have never seen before and i cannot explain it to me, it does not shrink the usability of the program, as far as I can estimate it until know.
