Bug#745875: /usr/bin/kwin: KWin consumes 100% of one of my CPUs while idle
Hello. I recently discovered that the screen lock under control panel's Screen and Monitor section was enabled, and after I disabled it my CPU consumption is back to normal. I guess the scren lock feature is somehow related to this bug. ¡Hola Marc! Bug#405709: closed by Sandro Tosi mo...@debian.org (Re: amule: aMule configuration screws up after unexpected poweroff)
I'm currently using ext4, and it still happens, so it's not an XFS issue. Besides, I don't see any reason why aMule should be constantly writing to amule.conf, since it's a file that should never change. Perhaps the [Statistics] section should be kept in a different file. Also, the files which are constantly being written, like the *.part files, never get lost. So I guess it can be aMule's fault. Marc Coll This is an automatic notification regarding your Bug report which was filed against the amule package: #405709: amule: aMule configuration screws up after unexpected poweroff It has been closed by Sandro Tosi mo...@debian.org. Since I'm using a decent journaling filesystem (XFS) and all the other programs seem to work fine, I assume it's aMule's fault. It is not quite annoying, but I have to keep a backup version of the config file to avoid losing my preferences every time. XFS applies this policy when resuming from an unexpected unmount of the fs (such as in power loss): delete (or empty) any file in a middle of a transition. So, since the amule files are constantly written, they have higher probability to be removed/emptied after reboot. That's not an amule problem, but an intrinsic XFS functionality. That said, I'm closing this report. Bug#328769: libapr0 keeps upgrading ad infinitum
Package: libapr0 Version: 2.0.54-5 Severity: normal For some strange reason, libapr0 wants to upgrade every time I do an apt-get upgrade. For no aparent reason, he wants to upgrade from some version to the exact same version (2.0.54-5, currently). If I do an apt-get upgrade, libapr0 gets upgraded with no error messages at all. And if I do another apt-get upgrade 1 second after the first one (without even doing an apt-get update first), it upgrades libapr0 again. And again, and again... Bug#325304: More info
I've just discovered that if I disable the delay module (by uncomenting the line DelayEngine off in the configuration file), the problem solves. So I guess it's a bug in the delay module. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Bug#325304: Can't stop proftpd
Package: proftpd Version: 1.2.10-20 Severity: important I can't stop proftpd. If I do a /etc/init.d/proftpd stop, it seems like it does (and it deletes proftpd.pid file, indeed), but when I do a ps -A it shows me that proftpd it's still running.
