2021-07-17 Thread Marcelo Luiz de Laia
Package: seahorse
Version: 3.38.0.1-2
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

When trying to import a certificate into seahorse/gnome-keyring, seahorse GUI
application shows the 'import' button grayed out, while mouse hovering the
"import" button shows the message "Cannot import because there are no
compatible importers".

At command line,

$ gnome-keyring import X-certificate.p12

Return:

gnome-keyring: couldn't parse: X-certificate.p12
gnome-keyring: couldn't find any place to import files

It's not possible to digitally sign documents with LibreOffice.

Bug#982555: mutt: Messages sent by Gmail SMTP are recorded in sent box with wrong charset/encoding

2021-02-11 Thread Marcelo Luiz de Laia
Package: mutt
Version: 2.0.5-1
Severity: minor

Dear Maintainer,

After upgrade to mutt:amd64 2.0.5-1, messages sent by gmail was recorded in
sent box with wrong charset, like this:

Finalizei a insero das ATA no Processo.
So seis ATA e um documento resumo.
Encaminhei ao Loureno e Angelo para leitura e assinatura.
Fique vontade para revisar.
Abraos!

These messages have the headers:

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1
Content-Disposition: inline
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit

This is the same headers present in previous messages sent with mutt 2.0.2-1.

Thanks

Bug#958068: gnome-shell crashes during normal system use. Workspace related problem

2020-04-17 Thread Marcelo Luiz de Laia
Package: gnome-shell
Version: 3.36.1-5
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

After upgrade, today, the gnome-shell crashes. May be it was related to
workspace. Mouse and keyboard work normally, but any application was opened
inside first workspace window at the right side of primary monitor. Nothing is
opened in the visible area, except ALT+F2 command line. In this command line I
enter "r" followed ENTER and the gnome shell restart. I work window was
restored and the job can continue. I think nothing is lost. But, this is very
annoying and, before figure out how restart gnome-shell, I needed to reboot my
system a lot off. In a site, I read that this behavioris related to mutter
package, too. That's all.

Bug#749559: sysvinit: Can't power off jessie from gnome poweroff menu

2014-05-27 Thread Marcelo Luiz de Laia
Package: sysvinit
Version: 2.88dsf-53
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I am using Jessie, and gnome.
When I choose my login in the upper right corner, and click Poweroff, my system
didn't do any think.

In the dmesg is showed:

system is powering down
failed to send delayed message launch helper exited with unknown return code 1

To do the trick I need to login in the new tty (tty2) and rum halt or shutdown
-h now.

I found this threat:

http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=114589

But, if I try:

# apt-get install systemd systemd-sysv

I got that systemd is already installed and apt tell me that sysvinit package
will be removed from my system.

However, sysvinit shows:

# aptitude show sysvinit
Pacote: sysvinit
Essencial: sim
Estado: instalado
Automaticamente instalado: não
Versão: 2.88dsf-53
Prioridade: requerido
Seção: admin
Mantenedor: Debian sysvinit maintainers
Arquitetura: i386
Tamanho Descompactado: 81,9 k
Pré-Depende de: sysvinit-core | upstart | systemd-sysv
Descrição: System-V-like init utilities - metapackage

Is systemd-sysv a dependecy for sysvinit? Why when I try to instal systemd-sysv
apt tell me that sysvinit will be removed?

Any suggestion to solve this bug?

Bug#745089: linux-image-3.13-1-686-pae: kernel block java (both open and oracle java)

2014-04-17 Thread Marcelo Luiz de Laia
Package: src:linux
Version: 3.13.7-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

After java 7.51 release, java ins't work with kernels up to 3.10.x. java 7.51
and 7.55 only work with kernel version 3.2.0-4 (and, my be, below).

There is a big thread (in Portuguese) about this bug [1].

Debian kernels versions 3.10.x, 3.11.x, 3.12.x e 3.13.x java 7.51 and 7.55
(oracle and openjdk) not work.

Kernels 3.12.6 and 3.12.9 compiled from kernel.org work very well.

Here is a diff from debian kernel and kernel.org version:

-# Linux/i386 3.12.6 Kernel Configuration
+# Linux/x86 3.12.6 Kernel Configuration

I have collected this info from that thread. Thanks to Junior Polegato and
others brazilian debian guys.

tray is Tray 1 and I select Tray 2. So, document is printed on Tray 1, anyway.

This does not happen with other programs. Only in Libreoffice suite.

It breaks all the X! Is it not unrelated?

May be! But, it crash X *only* writer is running!

Have you cheked my APT-Preferences?

I use:

:~$ cat /etc/apt/preferences
Package: *
Pin: release a=stable
Pin-Priority: 100

Package: *
Pin: release a=testing
Pin-Priority: 900

Package: *
Pin: release a=unstable
Pin-Priority: 300

I don't told to apt to install libreoffice from unstable! So, if it was
installed, it was done with all apt policies.

I will try to downgrade it!

I am a user and not an expert user!

Thank you very much!

Package: libreoffice
Version: 1:3.5.3-5
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks unrelated software

Dear Maintainer,

I start libreoffice (writer) and open a file. I do some thing in the text and
after some seconds writer crash. The system is unusable because the X11 is
crashed together. To restart usability, is need to restart X11 (jump to
runlevel 2 or 3 and run /etc/.../gdm3 restart

But, this issue is annoying and I do 10 gdm3 restart to day!

Package: gnome-screensaver
Version: 3.0.1-3
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

On a laptop Dell Latitude D630 running Debian Testing and Gnome Shell where
gnome-screensaver automatically lock the screen after a certain predetermined
time, the LCD brightness is at minimal. This makes it extremely difficult to
see where someone should type their password to unlock the session.
Additionally, brightness is not restored after unlocking the session either.
After unlock, I need to choose Fn+Up Arrow to restore the LCD brightness. If I
choose Fn+Left Arrow, I see the brightness symbol and a prohibited symbol, too.

None! I am so sorry to be choosed critical instead grave or normal

Yes. I have a lot of files/software opened: nautilus, iceweasel,
emacs, and libreoffice (impress, calc and writer).

It not break the system. Please, see above.

Not sure! However, only impress crashed!

Thank you very much and I am so sorry to be exaggerated!

Bug#505058: ghostscript: gv can't view the pages

2008-11-08 Thread Marcelo Luiz de Laia
Package: ghostscript
Version: 8.62.dfsg.1-3.1
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks unrelated software

gv can't view the folow files:

>From gedit

http://www.divshare.com/download/5770390-420

Broken.

>From iceweasel

http://www.divshare.com/download/5770391-cee

Broken.

>From openoffice

http://www.divshare.com/download/5770392-1f3

OK.

The Broken/OK is for whether gv can view the pages.

If I convert them to PDF with ps2pdf and then view them
without any problems.

This can be causing printer not work.
