Bug#621048: midge: Minor Parse Error

2011-04-05 Thread Martin H. Thomas
Package: midge
Version: 0.2.41-2
Severity: normal

Really a minor bug concerning:
pre_parse (line 2633)
get_eval_tokens (line 3194), and maybe
unroll_define (line 2957)

In each of the subs the respective bracket counter is not de-
cremented in case the Perl code in an %eval block contains brackets
followed syntactically necessary characters like ',' or ';'. E.g.:

%eval - { our $href = { 'foo' = { 'bar' = 0 },
'baz' = { 'bla' = 0 }
  };
}
Both the colon, and the semicolon are mandatory - without them CORE::eval
would complain.

I modified the respective expressions in my installation to:
[...]
elsif ($tokens[$i] =~ /\}([;,]?)/)
[...]
which works. (Although I'm not sure whether unroll_define is concerned
at all. %eval blocks nested in %repeats might be somewhat esoterical.)

Hope this helps,
Martin

Bug#598602: freecol: Goods from last game transferred

2010-09-30 Thread Martin H. Thomas
Package: freecol

Severity: minor

When I interrupt a running game during the calculation phase at a turn's
end and start a new game, it sometimes happens that in this new game a
ship arrives in Europe with the goods from the previous game aboard. Not
that I wouldn't appreciate that gift from RAM's heaven, but it looks
like the remnant of a race condition not met in your code.

Bug#556898: libgtk2.0-dev: Improper directory order in /usr/include

2009-11-17 Thread Martin H. Thomas
Package: libgtk2.0-dev
Version: 2.18.3-1
Severity: normal

The package in question puts all headers into subdirectories of
/usr/include/gtk-2.0. When I now #include gtk-2.0/gtk/gtk.h gtk.h
tries to include alle its sub-headers with gtk/..., which as a matter
of course fails. In order to get the compiler to run properly I'll have
to circumvent its conundrum by moving gtk.h and gdk.h to /usr/include/gtk-2.0
and create symlinks on /usr/include directing any request to the aforementioned
subdirectories - which goes astray from the debian policy and will have to be
repeated
with every package upgrade, unless the package maintainers find a solution.

Bug#527123: abiword crashes immediateley on any attempt to print a document

2009-06-22 Thread Martin H. Thomas
Package: abiword
Version: 2.6.8-5
Followup-For: Bug #527123

I already tried to solve this problem, albeit unfortunately. Following
the mail exchange you will be able to follow regarding bug #527123 I have the
problem that abiword
crashes (well, to be precise: aborts) on any attempt to print a
currently loaded document. I've been trying for several days now to receive a
qualified answer on
that problem, but unfortunatley the person I got in contact with didn't
seem to show up with the affordable professional capabilities.

Is there anybody else in the abiword developers' team who might be able
to help me? Abiword is after all my preferred word processor, but once
it renders unuseable on my box...

Sincerely
Martin

2009-05-01 Thread Martin H. Thomas
Package: xcdroast

Severity: important

Although I call xcdroast as root it complains:

Which I did:

So there is no reason for not accessing wodim.

Justification: renders package unusable

 I upgraded from xkb-data 1.4-1 to 1.5-2. From there on I couldn't use
my keyboard under X any longer. Every keystroke activated the
scroll-lock LED which had to be switched off again by another
keystroke. It seemed to me as if a Ctrl-key was permanently pressed in the
background. I suppose this has something to do with the level-5
modifiers, but even when I commented the respective lines out, I was
unable to fix the effect. I had to force a downgrade to the old
 version again.

Bug#486334: iceweasel: The program 'firefox-bin' received an X Window System error.

2008-10-27 Thread Martin H. Thomas
Package: iceweasel
Version: 3.0.3-3
Followup-For: Bug #486334

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ iceweasel --sync
sh: acroread: command not found
open dsp: No such file or directory
The program 'firefox-bin' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'BadShmSeg (invalid shared segment parameter)'.
  (Details: serial 25 error_code 168 request_code 145 minor_code 2)
(Note to programmers: normally, X errors are reported
  asynchronously;
that is, you will receive the error a while after causing it.
To debug your program, run it with the --sync command line
option to change this behavior. You can then get a
meaningful backtrace from your debugger if you break on the
  gdk_x_error() function.)

The package is shipped without debugging symbols, hence a call to
'iceweasel -g' delivers no detailed information:
