Bug#766169: libEGL.so.1 don't get installed
Hi, I have installed nvidia-driver 340.46-2, but not libegl1-nvidia. The new glx-alternatives fixes the issue for me. kwin and GTK based stuff is running again without any obvious problems. I only had to restore my KDE config out of a backup, because it had been massively damaged during login without running kwin. Bug#766169: libEGL.so.1 don't get installed
Hi everyone, I can confirm this issue, too. Only difference - my platform is still i386. On the one hand it renders KDE quite unusable and on the other hand I get many segmentation faults for GTK related stuff when I try to use other window managers instead of KDE, which renders them quite unusable, too. As side effect I lost some parts of my KDE configuration (desktop/folder settings configuration) during first login without running kwin. Hence I added a suitable link as quick and dirty workaround to get KDE up again. Bug#643922: iceweasel: XML error on "Show All Bookmarks"
Hi, thanks. That's the reason. Purging the old package iceweasel-l10n-en-us resolved the problem. But I should mention, that my debian system was totally up-to-date before I wrote the bug report. There where no unsresolved dependencies or other inconsistencies in the packaging system and the related package was not set to hold. Iceweasel 6.x itself was no longer installed. So I never expected that the automatic upgrade from 6.x to 7.x left some conflicting packages in my system. In my opinion the language pack should be dropped automatically during installation of iceweasel 7.x. Bug#619171: Update & Solution
Hi, I found the problem. Hence the issue is very, very strange and probably only affects me, I suggest closing it without any further investigation. Description: All tested KDE applications worked fine in Gnome, only starting K3b produced following message: "k3b: error while loading shared libraries: libGLU.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory". So I looked in /usr/lib what's going on, but there was no libGLU.so.1! A "dpkg --list | grep libglu1" produced: ii libglu1-mesa 7.10-4 ii libglu1-mesa-dev 7.10-4 Because there was no bug report about missing libGLU I did a "apt-get --reinstall install libglu1-mesa". Afterwards the libGLU.so.1 was back and now my KDE is starting without any problems since two days. No more segmentation faults. I don't know who delete the lib. I did nothing manual in /usr/lib, all my packages are up-to-date and there are no broken packages. So it's just strange and I can't reproduce how my system came into this state. Bug#526430: More information required.
Hello, please close the bug. I'm no longer able to reproduce the bug. Yesterday I removed my whole kmail configuration. I wanted to test, if it works, if I use only one IMAP account. Dropping the whole configuration was the only way to test this, because I was not able to start kmail anyway. With the new configuration I can use both IMAP accounts and have no more crashes. Even copying back the old configuration produces no more crashes. The IMAP accounts are not the reason for the problems. They where fully accessible by Thunderbird the whole time. I applied no updates to the system since serveral days. If the problem occurs again I will report it against the KDE bugzilla. Bug#430418: Successful build, too
Hi, sorry for my late reply. Your answer never arrived at my mail account. probably I should look for a new provider. My kernel is a vanilla kernel built with make-kpkg. I build the module with: export KSRC=/usr/src/linux export KVERS=2.6.21.5 debian/rules binary_modules At the time a wrote the bug report I tried three times to build the module and always got the reported error. Today I tried to build a fourth time and it was successful. Hence I can only guess that some other debian updates fixed another problem not really related to the nvidia module. So please close the bug and excuse the useless bug report. By the way thank you for packaging the nvidia source. I'm using the nvidia module since several years and I'm really happy with it. Bug#387076: Bug is still there
Hi, today I tested 3.0.24-6 and the bug is still there. The machine is now a fully up-to-date and configured etch machine. The test constellation: A fresh booted Windows 2000 with all Microsoft Updates. After startup I connect to some shares on the samba server, which require an user and password (TargitShare & ProjectShare), but have no "valid users" restriction. These shares work without any problem. Afterwards I try to connect to a "valid users" share with the same user ans password without success (OfficeShare) - the password dialog of windows just reappears. If I use samba 3.0.22-1 everything works fine with excatly the same configuration and test procedure (tested today, too). The "valid users" are NIS users on the samba server . Bug#387076: Seems to have been fixed
Hallo, I tried version 3.0.23c-2 of the samba package and the problems are still there. Package: linux-image-2.6.12-1-amd64-k8-smp Version: 2.6.12-10 Severity: minor Regarding my own installation (bug) report #341096 (http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=341096) I just want to file my kernel issue directly to the related linux-2.6 package to clarify if it is a bug or not and if the solution is the proper way to handle the issue. Hi, I can confirm the htdig and amd64 problems, too. Using a 2.6.12-1-amd64-k8-smp kernel on testing, the amd64 htdig and htmerge produces a database > 1GB, but amd64 htsearch cannot find anything. Even strace shows no problems... The way working for me, was using the 32bit htdig, htmerge and htsearch binaries. Any other combination produces some errors.
