Bug#557317: [pidgin] when deleting .purple .gaim gets automatically restored
Package: pidgin Version: 2.6.3-1 Severity: minor --- Please enter the report below this line. --- I had a problem with my pidgin, it would not log in and constantly say "waiting for network connection" (or something similar). So i tried to delete .purple, which is the documented settings-directory. Annoyingly after a restart of pidgin the (broken) settings are there again. After some thinking and using of "find" I found out, that i had a .gaim-directory with a similar content. After deleting that too, everything was fine. I think it would be advisable to document this behaviour. --- System information. --- Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux 2.6.31.3 Debian Release: squeeze/sid 990 unstable www.debian-multimedia.org 990 unstable ftp.de.debian.org 990 unstable deb.opera.com 500 testing ftp.de.debian.org 500 stable volatile.debian.org 500 experimental www.debian-multimedia.org 1 experimental ftp.de.debian.org --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed ==-+-== pidgin-data (>= 2.6.3) | 2.6.3-1 pidgin-data (<< 2.6.3-z) | 2.6.3-1 libatk1.0-0 (>= 1.20.0) | 1.28.0-1 libc6 (>= 2.3.6-6~) | 2.10.1-7 libcairo2 (>= 1.2.4) | 1.8.8-2 libdbus-1-3 (>= 1.0.2) | 1.2.16-2 libdbus-glib-1-2 (>= 0.78) | 0.82-2 libfontconfig1 (>= 2.4.0) | 2.6.0-4 libfreetype6 (>= 2.2.1) | 2.3.11-1 libglib2.0-0 (>= 2.16.0) | 2.22.2-2 libgstreamer0.10-0 (>= 0.10.10) | 0.10.25-3 libgtk2.0-0 (>= 2.18.0) | 2.18.3-1 libgtkspell0 (>= 2.0.10) | 2.0.13-2 libice6 (>= 1:1.0.0) | 2:1.0.5-1 libpango1.0-0 (>= 1.14.0) | 1.26.1-1 libpurple0 (>= 2.6.0) | 2.6.3-1 libsm6 | 2:1.1.1-1 libstartup-notification0 (>= 0.10) | 0.10-1 libx11-6 | 2:1.2.2-1 libxml2 (>= 2.6.27) | 2.7.6.dfsg-1 libxss1 | 1:1.1.3-1 zlib1g (>= 1:1.1.4) | 1:1.2.3.3.dfsg-15 gconf2 (>= 2.10.1-2) | 2.28.0-1 perl (>= 5.10.1-5) | 5.10.1-7 perlapi-5.10.1 | Recommends (Version) | Installed =-+-=== gstreamer0.10-plugins-base | 0.10.25-6 gstreamer0.10-plugins-good | 0.10.17-1 Suggests (Version) | Installed =-+- gnome-panel (>= 2.1) | 2.28.0-2 OR kdebase-workspace-bin | OR docker | evolution-data-server (>= 1.10.0) | libsqlite3-0 (>= 3.6.18) | 3.6.20-1 -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Bug#412810: save-doesn't work after redo
Package: kdevelop Version: 4:3.4.0-2 Severity: grave i save a file or several files and compile... i realize i want to test the old version again - so "undo" and save, compile - everything ok so far. now i redo (the "not-saved-icon" appears) i save and the icon disappears - the problem is: it didn't save! i have to do some arbitrary change to get kdevelop to save the file correctly. this certainly is very annoying and could lead to the loss of the changes in the affected files PS: sorry for filing this bug under etch although i found it in unstable.
