Bug#717388: Volunteers needed to work on enabling persistent journal

Something OpenSUSE and RH have been using for years without real problems? Best Martin

Bug#227301: Package count1to conflict with package hyperref
2009/12/8 Hilmar Preuße hill...@web.de: a few year ago Frank Küster sent you this E-Mail. Did you have a chance to look into the problem? Hilmar, ah yes, that old bug. :-{ I've just uploaded a new version of count1to (2.1) to CTAN, which removes support for the TotPages label. From the dtx: % \section{Introduction to version 2} % ^^A % The main change of this new version is the removal of the code for % the \texttt{TotalPages} label. % This code didn't work with the \package{hyperref} % package\cite{package:hyperref} and better code to achieve the % effect of it is contained in the \package{totpages} % package\cite{package:totpages}. % So old documents using this package will not work when they try to % use the \texttt{TotalPages} label; these documents must be changed % by inserting a \cs{usepackage\{totpages\}} in the preamble and % replacing all occurences of \texttt{TotalPages} by % \texttt{TotPages}. So I suggest closing the bug with wontfix. Best Martin -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of unsubscribe. Trouble? 2009/12/19 Hans Hagen pra...@wxs.nl: yes but how does it check if the libs are functionally the same? APIs are versioned and checked by the loader. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dynamic_library#Dynamic_linking It works. Mostly. Bug#320362: Please add symlink /usr/bin/gmake - make
I've been bitten by this myself and am still wondering why debian has no gmake... I really don't care _how_ you fix it (symlink, hardlink, alias, ...), but the problem is that debian doesn't provide the command gmake, which breaks scripts that explicitely want gnu-make and not bsd-make. SuSE 10.1 has a symlink, and I don't think one more name (which is reserved for gnu-make anyway) in the path will make users unhappy.
