Bug#390151: vim-ruby doesn't support cursor arrows in insert mode
Package: vim-ruby Version: 1:7.0-094+1 Severity: normal Hi, Since vim7 coming out, seems that the cursor arrows key works strange. I have no problem in command mode, but in insert mode they spit me out this chars: A for the up key B for the down key C for the right key D for the left key instead of moving the cursor. I always test this with vim -u NONE start command. I tested different flavor of LANG variables (C, en_US...), but no luck. I also tested with xterm (I usually use aterm, and it has rxvt term style), also without any luck. This problem seems relative just at the vim-ruby package. The normal vim doesn't has this problem. Bug#390151: vim-ruby doesn't support cursor arrows in insert mode
* venerdì 29 settembre 2006, alle 10:15, James Vega scrive: I always test this with vim -u NONE start command. I tested different flavor of LANG variables (C, en_US...), but no luck. Invoking vim as vim -u NONE will always cause this behavior since Vim is in vi-compatible mode. If you still see the problem when invoking VIm as vim -u NONE -N, then there is a problem. I was unable to reproduce this using vim -u NONE -N with vim-ruby. Thank you James, for your promptly response. You have a point. With vim -u NONE -N there's no problem at all. So, this bug is bogus, and I apologize. Probably something in my .vimrc do this to me, even I had the set nocompatible in it. I've to do much more investigation, I'm sorry again. Bug#351545: pcmcia-cs: pre and post kernel 2.6.13 compatibility
Package: pcmcia-cs Version: 3.2.8-5.2 Severity: wishlist Hi. Because i'm not very sure, and i didn't do a lot of test, i filled this bug as wishlist. Running sid here, with kernel 2.6.12 (debian image), i noticed that next pcmcia-cs package upgrade could be kernel incompatible. pcmcia-cs now depends from pcmciautils that require 2.6.13 (in init script i got an error message saying that), and i think it isn't backward compatible. AFAIK, this is not a good thing. I hope not to filled this bug for my mistake, but i'd like to have a more confortable way to handle this situation. I promptly installed pcmcia-cs from testing and unistalled pcmciautils, but i don't make testing on pcmcia-cs functionality (just want it back card support). If i'm not in error, may I suggest that we need some other way (dunno, a transitional package? dual package one before and one post kernel 2.6.13?) to have support for both kernel (pre and post 2.6.13)? I'd like the following fix; since it looks too cryptic; how does it sound ? -PKGNAMES=$(ls -1 /tmp/buildd/*.deb | sed 's/_.*$//' ) +PKGNAMES=$(cd /tmp/buildd ls -1 /tmp/buildd/*.deb | sed 's/_.*$//' ) Seems ok to me. I tried to respect original idea, and that regexp catch just the name of the package. If you're familiar with perl, is equal to: /.+([^_]+)_*$/$1/ $1 is backreference to ([^_]+) that catch the package name. In sed, is \1. Of course, as you stated in next mail, you're solution is more readable, and probably preferred. Plus, i suggest that could be useful inform user that is useful add BINDMOUNTS=/tmp in .pbuilderrc (i don't like hack around /etc/* if it isn't necessary). With this var, i do: pbuilder update (that create /tmp/buildd, if it isn't) (cd into package source) pdebuild (that create all the stuff in /tmp/buildd) pbuilder execute B91dpkg-i (that test all the *.deb in /tmp/buildd) That is not a good idea; /tmp/buildd is a directory created and controlled by pbuilder when pbuilder build is ran. I'm not really sure of this. Without that binding, all the .deb going to /var/cache/pbuilder/result, that are unusable inside the chroot. Also copying just the deb inside /tmp/buildd (creating before, of course) doesn't produce any result, because, still outside the chroot environment. Maybe i'm confused with this, but i didn't find a way more comfortable to this to use that script with package created. I use pbuilder to create a sarge environment on my machine (that is sid). Of course, this part is just a suggest. -- Maurizio - Tannoiser - Lemmo Founder Member of ERLUG http://erlug.linux.it --- Ford: What happened? Spike: We're stuck in a basement. Ford: Buffy? Bug#304009: pbuilder: example/B91dpkg-i calls dpkg --purge with pathnames in front of package names
Package: pbuilder Version: 0.124 Severity: minor Tags: patch Hello. I'm enjoy to use pbuilder for testing package. Playing with /usr/share/doc/pbuilder/example/B91dpkg-i i think it couldn't work, because, the $PKGNAMES var, isn't set correctly. the portion: PKGNAMES=$(ls -1 /tmp/buildd/*.deb | sed 's/_.*$//' ) result in /tmp/buildd/name, that is unusable later in the script (dpkg --purge /tmp/buildd/whatever give an error). I fixed with: PKGNAMES=$(ls -1 /tmp/buildd/*.deb | sed 's/.\+\/\([^_]\+\)_.*$/\1/') (kudos to Enrico Zini, that's skilled then me, on cryptical sed regexp) that seems to work properly. ie: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ls -1 /tmp/buildd/*.deb | sed 's/_.*$//' /tmp/buildd/polygen [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ ls -1 /tmp/buildd/*.deb | sed 's/.\+\/\([^_]\+\)_.*$/\1/' polygen Plus, i suggest that could be useful inform user that is useful add BINDMOUNTS=/tmp in .pbuilderrc (i don't like hack around /etc/* if it isn't necessary). With this var, i do: pbuilder update (that create /tmp/buildd, if it isn't) (cd into package source) pdebuild (that create all the stuff in /tmp/buildd) pbuilder execute B91dpkg-i (that test all the *.deb in /tmp/buildd) Useful for me.
