Hi, I guess upstream means us (Irrlicht team). That file no longer contains the timestamp, so will be fixed automatically in our next release. Bug#699161: iceweasel: Fonts pixelated after pressing back until redraw is forced

On certain websites, for example: news.ycombinator.com whenever I press the
back button, then the fonts are afterward pixelated. Or maybe not anti-aliased
or smoothed.
The moment iceweasel does redraw the font smoothing is used again (for example
by clicking the website itself once).
To reproduce: Visit news.ycombinator.com then for example click on any
"comments" link. Then press the back button (you have to enable navigation
toolbar if you don't have it enabled). The main page should now be looking
pixelated.

Just in case someone still tries to investigate. As I still did fight with this I just did another experiment and installed the firefox nightly build (64-bit) from http://nightly.mozilla.org/ for comparison. It's using all the same settings but does not have this bug. And one more info - I'm using gnome 2 as desktop. So basically I'm fine for now by switching to firefox nightly-builds, but the bug is still 100% reproducible here when using Iceweasel.
