Bug#642018: alsa-utils: Resampling 44.1 to 48 KHz generates distortion noises

2011-09-18 Thread Miguel Angel Fraile
Package: alsa-utils
Version: 1.0.24.2-3
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,
*** Please consider answering these questions, where appropiate ***

   * What led up to the situation?
It seems the problem has been the update of alsa-utils from 1.0.24.2-1 to
1.0.24.2-3
   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
 ineffective)?
I can play 48000 Hz flac music without distortions, but 44100 Hz content
generates distortion on the higher frequencies of sound. It didn't happed
before the packge upgrade.
Confirmed the same on this system (amd64) and on a Atom processor laptop (x86).
   * What was the outcome of this action?
   * What outcome did you expect instead?

*** End of the template - remove these lines ***

Bug#581525: rt2860: rt2860 doesn't connect to WPA2 networks

2010-05-13 Thread Miguel Angel Fraile
Package: linux-2.6
Version: 2.6.32-5
Severity: important
File: rt2860

It seems it's not possible to connect to WPA2 wireless networks with the
squeezix version of the rt2860 module.

I've tested it with both network-manager and wicd. Both of them are unable to
authenticate with the correct password.

Both have NO problems to connect to WPA-PSK networks.

Tested with a Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH router. No problem connecting to that WPA2
network with other devices.

The router encryption is set to WPA/WPA2-Mixed TKIP+AES, using a preshared key.

Tested also after updating the rt2860 firmware-ralink to the Debian SID version
(v0.24). No luck, either.
