Bug#330476: libgconf2-4: Failed to run gconf-sanity-check-2

2005-09-28 Thread N. Riesco
Package: libgconf2-4
Version: 2.10.1-6
Severity: normal

I have found the following messages in my ~/.xsession-errors

$ cat .xsession-errors
/etc/gdm/PreSession/Default: Registering your session with wtmp and utmp
/etc/gdm/PreSession/Default: running: /usr/X11R6/bin/sessreg -a -w
/var/log/wtmp -u /var/run/utmp -x /var/lib/gdm/:0.Xservers -h -l
:0 cgnr
/etc/gdm/Xsession: Beginning session setup...
Failed to run gconf-sanity-check-2: Failed to execute child process
/usr/lib/gconf2/gconf-sanity-check-2 (No such file or directory)
[...]

And I' ve noticed it's failing to run gconf-sanity-check-2 because
it's looking at the directory /usr/lib/gconf2/, whereas dpkg reports
that its location is /usr/lib/libgconf2-4/

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ dpkg --search conf-sanity-check-2
libgconf2-4: /usr/lib/libgconf2-4/gconf-sanity-check-2

Is this related to the stalling I experience sometimes when
I'm logging into gnome?

Hope this report is helpful,

Nico

Bug#326034: Scary folder '/home/ANONYMOUS'

2005-09-01 Thread N. Riesco - Lboro

Package: cups-pdf
Version: 1.7.3-4
Severity: wishlist

Yesterday after upgrading cups-pdf and some more packages,
I found a new folder named '/home/ANONYMOUS'. I think this
folder name is not very fortunate. Eventually, and not very
easily, I got to know that it had been created by cups-pdf.

Is it possible to change the name of this folder for something
like '/home/cups-pdf' or move it to '/tmp' or '/var', whichever
is more suitable.

Kind regards,

Nico
