Bug#839067: shellinabox: Cannot read valid certificate

Usually, the problem is > that the ID of shellinabox cannot read the cert because it is denied > access somewhere along the path. The issue is that no cert were installed during installation, so shellinabox could not start. Permissions were correct, or they should be, as the directory was created by the package. IF the cert should always be installed by the admin, this should be noted in the docs, but that is not written in any file on /usr/share/doc/shellinabox so any admin will assume the server should "just start", as any other server like sshd or apache does. It seems to me that this is just an error in the versioning of the Depends. Just installing a more recent libssl resolved this for me. Thus, the server does not start: # apache2ctl start apache2: Syntax error on line 189 of /etc/apache2/apache2.conf: Could not open configuration file /etc/apache2/httpd.conf: No such file or directory # But it is not clear what happens, since people will usually see this: # /etc/init.d/apache2 start # That is, no error at all. Package: openoffice.org Version: 2.0.0-1 Severity: important Maybe related #210581? That one is too old. Bug#318799: does not set up a proper grub when installing in hdb MBR
Package: installation Severity: grave I installed normally from Sarge DVD 1 in my brand-new hard disk hdb. Everything seemed OK, and I partitioned my new disk (boot, swap, root, home and all the others) and selected to install grub in MBR of hdb. During rebooting, I set up my BIOS to boot from hdb. The computer booted, and grub showed me a menu with the two new kernel entries (normal and recover mode) and all my old kernels from hda. I selected to boot the new kernel, and grub said me that it can not execute the second instruction kernel because it can not find the file. I keystroked e-d-b and my new system booted OK. Bug#290809: xscreensaver-gl: GLKnots crashes my whole X-Window system
Package: xscreensaver-gl Version: 4.16-1 Severity: critical Justification: breaks the whole system It started when my computer seemed to reset each time I left it working and alone. Lately I discovered that only the X-Window system is who crashes. I started selecting one-by-one the hacks, and I found that almost every time I select glknots, the X-Window system completely crashed and restarted to GDM login screen start. When testing, I left no info 'cos no other programs where running in the Desktop, but until I discovered it I lost a lot of data in open programs each time it crashed. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.9 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) (ignored: LC_ALL set to [EMAIL PROTECTED]) Versions of packages xscreensaver-gl depends on: ii libc62.3.2.ds1-20GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgle3 3.1.0-5 OpenGL tubing and extrusion librar ii libglib2.0-0 2.4.8-1 The GLib library of C routines ii libgtk2.0-0 2.4.14-2The GTK+ graphical user interface ii libice6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 Inter-Client Exchange library ii libsm6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 X Window System Session Management ii libx11-6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 X Window System protocol client li ii libxext6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 X Window System miscellaneous exte ii libxmu6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 X Window System miscellaneous util ii libxt6 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 X Toolkit Intrinsics ii xlibmesa-gl [libgl1] 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 Mesa 3D graphics library [XFree86] ii xlibmesa-glu [libglu1] 4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 Mesa OpenGL utility library [XFree ii xlibs4.3.0.dfsg.1-10 X Keyboard Extension (XKB) configu -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of unsubscribe.
