Bug#348970: ITP: ldns -- dns client utilities
Package: wnpp Severity: wishlist Owner: OndÅej Surý [EMAIL PROTECTED] * Package name: ldns Version : 1.0.1 Upstream Author : NLnetlabs * URL : http://www.nlnetlabs.nl/ldns/ * License : BSD Description : dns client utilities The goal of ldns is to simplify (experimental) DNS programming, it should support recent RFCs like the DNSSEC documents, and allow developers to easily create software conforming to current RFCs, and experimental software for current Internet drafts. A secondary benefit of using ldns is speed, because ldns is written in C it should be a lot faster than Perl. . The main first tool to use ldns is Drill, from which part of the library was derived. From version 1.0.0 on, drill will be included in the ldns release and will not be developed seperately anymore. The library also includes some other examples and tools to show how it can be used. . Features: * IP4 and IP6 support, * TSIG support, * DNSSEC support; signing and verification, * small size, * online documentation as well as manual pages. [Note: description verbatim copied from ldns web page, it needs to be improved and suggestions are welcomed, this set of utilities provides alternative for BIND9 client utilities including DNSSEC.] -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.12-10-686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) (ignored: LC_ALL set to C)
Bug#326173: RFH: php-pspell
Package: wnpp Severity: normal Hi people, there was three request to enable *spell extensions in php4/5 packages. Currently nobody from PHP maintainers team wants to add more burden on his shoulders, hence I request help from our fellow debian developers to package pspell and aspell extensions as separate packages using php4-dev and php5-dev. It should be easy to do so. If you want to help please contact us on [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailling list. (Even sponsored packages would be welcomed). Applying maintainer need to be willing not only to packageforget, but to keep track of bugs, solve problems with users and communicate with upstream (ie. strong nerves).
